Laurel, MS
about a year
sorry, no
freezes......all the time. No RROD yet. My other one did and MS replaced/repaired it.
occasional mess up but very random on other games. F2 crashes/freezes every time I play it.
going to see what happens before I send this one off. I expect it wil die shortly because its doing the same thing my other one did.

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2
1. Where are you from? Crestview, Florida 2.a. How long have you had your 360? Ive had this Xbox for about 3 months. 2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) Premium 3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. The problem I have with Forza 2 is it freezes up frequently. Especially when I trying to race online. It likes to freeze when I leave lobbies or while I am searching for a game. Sometimes it freezes up where you can see the background and everything moving but nothing happens and I have to go to the dashboard to start over. 4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? This is a brand new Xbox from Microsoft, I have not had any problems with any other games. Its not a problem with my Xbox because it freezes up multiple times everyday while playing Forza, never happens with anything else. 5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Yes I had to send my original launch console in for repair. Got 3 read lights, error 74. I did not have to pay even though the original warranty expired.

1. Where are you from? Arlington, VA 2.a. How long have you had your 360? 7 Months 2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) Premium 3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. No problems until Forza 2! Got the circle of lights on very first time playing, worked well for another week, then finally killed my Xbox after several reattempts at playing the game! 4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? Nope! 5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Had 2 year warranty for Best Buy, so getting a new one thank god!

1. Greeley Colorado
2. this one 11months
2. Premium
3. Problems signing into xbox live (had to do a 'test connection' before it would sign me in). Signed me out of xbox live when starting forza, then back in. When playing forza it just froze.
4. Called yesterday and was not charged for repair. Quoted 2 to 4 business weeks from the time they get it. I won't be able to play Forza or use my FFB wheel for over a month.

Re: No problems till Forza 2
B18C5 Tom:
Note the LACK of mentioning specific games, meaning Forza 2, but I
hope you guys can find some peace in this latest warranty update due to
HARDWARE ISSUES.
:)
That has already been quoted in multiple threads, and was already included in the first post of this thread. It would be wrong to do a press release and name any specific games, but this Forza 2 issue has been proven to be a combination of software + hardware failure of compatibility. It is no coincidence that within hours of firing up this game on a brand new system, it gets 3 red lights. Nor is it a coincidence that within a week of this whole thing, a 1 Billion dollar warranty extension has been made. But this has already been discussed and explained multiple times as well as in the first post of this thread; Anyone who still can't comprehend the concept of Overpowered Demanding Game + Lack of Sufficient Testing on it's Hardware = Problem on both sides, especially as many times and ways that it's been explained, never will understand it. Or maybe it's just stubbornness. Who knows. It's an advanced game and I appreciate what they've done with it, but if it can lead my brand new console to a crash within one week of playing, when my other console lasted one year and crashed within one week of playing the same game, the game is just too demanding for the hardware, and being designed specifically for the 360 (without the new heatsinks and parts they're adding in to improve stability), they should have known its limits at the time. Regardless, if anyone buys a 360 game, it should work on their 360 console with no problems.

Re: No problems till Forza 2
I wonder how many 360's Turn 10 went thru during testing. They HAD to have at least a few even in a cool room. Heck the IGN offices had that report a while back that almost every single 360 they had died.
The turn 10 press release is standard MS talk too "the majority of people are fine" BS.
51% are working fine!

Re: No problems till Forza 2
:smacks forehead:
Do I need to hunt down other topics with other specific games where people SWORE that a specific, newly-released game caused their 360s to crash?
Gears of War is one game that people were CERTAIN caused their 360s to crash, but oh wells - it MUST be Forza 2, right? Let's completely forget about the crazy hardware issues Microsoft is having and has been having long BEFORE the release of Forza 2!
Anyways turn your 360 in, and enjoy Forza 2 like myself and the thousands of others with zero issues!

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2
1. Where are you from? Philadelphia, PA 2.a. How long have you had your 360? April 2006 2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) It is a premium, don't feel like looking for the Manu. date. 3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. It doesn't load the maps that I'm playing on, then the load times just get longer and longer, and then it finnaly craps out on me. 4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? No problems with ANY other game except for Forza. I suspect a lamination error. 5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? I haven't had to send my system in for repair. But I will probably have to buy a new game because of this lamination error crap that is clearly visable on the DVD.
Comments: Please replace DVD's with the lamination error. Just because we don't take the time to inspect a brand new game doesn't mean we should pay for a lamination error which occurs in the manufacturing process. Please offer some help.

Never have any issues with other games, all work fine, well used to before my console died!

Can you explain in more detail what you mean by "lamination error"?

No problems up until Forza 2. Was fine for a few days then started getting graphical glitches - missing sky, track etc. Now it crashes all the time and cannot play the game at all. The XBox still boots but doesnt last long.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza?
Never have any issues with other games.
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?
Not yet, has only just started crashing, not dead .. yet

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2
Here you go Venom, this is from my other thread.
"Alright, so I have been playing Forza a lot recently. I play a ton of
other games and they all work fine. My system is well ventalated and my
PSU is. During gameplay, some of the track decides it doesn't want to
load, and I hear a clicking noise in the DVD drive. The game hasn't
been scratched by the DVD drive at all, but its a strange clicking
sound.
This
is the second copy of Forza I had. The first one had a big lamination
error, and this one has a lamination error that I just spotted. I'm
thinking something happened in the manufacturing plant or something.
To
spot the lamination error, just hold the disk up to a light source, and
examine the disk. You will notice a miscoloration on part of the DVD.
If you do notice it, please post it here because I don't have enough
money to go through disk after disk.
Hopefully if we have enough
replies, they can do something about it. I feel this is the reason
behind the freezing and crashing during gameplay perhaps.
Can anyone from Turn10 comment on this as a problem, and what we can do about it?"
Maybe in talking to them you could arrange a replacement deal or something? Game CD's shouldn't have that many defects.

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2
1. Where are you from?
NY,NY
2.a. How long have you had your 360?
I just got this system in june 2007 since sending an old model in for repair.
2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite)
Don't know the md off hand but it's a premium model.
3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze.
Started having the problem with the track loading during career races (I'm about 50% into career). This turns into the 'missing track' problem during the race and then the system freezes. It happens quite frequently now, after about an hour of gameplay. It seems as though the quicker cars cause this to happen, since the tracks need to load faster and the system has problems accomodating. I also get the white boxes instead of trophies in track selection.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza?
My last 360 broke while overdosing on Guitar Hero 2.
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?
Yes. No,
