Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

This is unbelivable... I got my Xbox bundled with a game that breaks the console...? Or a game that dosen't run properly... That is really not cool at all...

    1. Where are you from? Montrel, Quebec, Canada
2.a. How long have you had your 360? 1 week ago, Septembre 26th 2007
2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) XBOX 360 Pro & Forza 2 Motorsport Bundle

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. Froze on load and saves, about 4-8 minutes to save, 4-8 minutes to load a race.... (Playing a career race, i start to load a level and it just freezes. )
    4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? None what so ever
    5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Not yet

This is getting out of hand indeed!!!!

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. It froze while I was pressing the buttons in one of the menues too fast.  I don't know how I got the 3 rrod.

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

    1. London, ON

    2. a) Have had 360 for 6 months (2 month repair wait included)

       b) Microshaft Premium 360

    3. Bought with Forza bundle (ext. warr.) and game worked perfect for a whole week then:

    • 360 wouldn't pick up wireless controller and had to replace
    • 360 then wouldn't read Forza telling me to "put into 360 console"
    • Being a software problem I had to send to repair centre for couple months
    • After getting system back Forza seemed to be a lot slower in all loading areas and menus
    • Within one hour I froze the game by switching to another car too fast
    • Within restarting and racing, it froze again on track and continued to do so ever since
    • After doing more research I realized most people in my shoes eventually either got the 3 red lights or had their CD mutilated by the drive so I now play TDU and wait for Forza 3

    4. Played 4 other games while I had Forza and didn't have any problems with any

Note: I can't believe Microshaft are still selling strong...I don't understand why they don't just admit their mistake and call it what it is; a disastrous recall and a waste of a lot of peoples time...

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

Was looking like it was on the way out for the last week and today finally, 3 red lights around the power supply.

    1. Where are you from? Tampa, FL USA
2.a. How long have you had your 360? 1 year 4 months
2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) XBOX 360 Premium

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. Froze in garage constanly, when trying to save, and in the auction house.  Races went fine.  Got 4-light rrod at first but after a few power cycles, finally got 3 light rrod.
    4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? None what so ever.  Have ONLY been playing forza for last 4 months or so.  Never had an issue with anything else EVER! Game worked fine until I got online started trading cars.  Freezing issues since I downloaded the new patch, 3 weeks later, dead xbox 360.
    5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Waiting on mailer box to arrive.  NO, do not have to pay.

That's that though.  AFTER ALL THE B.S. WITH THE CREDIT, SCOREBOARD WIPES, BUGGY PATCHES, AND GENERAL HEAVY-HANDEDNESS OF TURN 10, THIS IS THE LAST STRAW!
After the new xbox returns I will not be playing Forza anymore.
    *** YOU TURN 10!!!
    I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!

2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) 23/03/06 Premium

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. It started after the most recent patch everytime i went into my garage all my cars are there but only a few show the pictures then after about 10 seconds it freezes up but i have noticed in exhibition races i can go into the class split garages are fine.
    4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? None what so ever

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

    1. Where are you from?

    Wisconsin, USA
2.a. How long have you had your 360?
    About 1.5 years

2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite)
xbox 360 Premium, sorry I don't know the manufacture date.

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze.
    - I haven't had the 3 red lights yet, but the game constantly locks up during the load screen of a race. Along with that the music skips. After it freezes, I can open the DVD drive but none of the controls work. The only way to get out of the freeze is to hold the power button on the console and turn it off. After that I'm usually too frustrated to try again and don't play Forza2 for a couple days.

    4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza?
    No

    5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?
    -Nope

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

    Hey kids,
Check out the last 2 pages of this thread: http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/1035449.aspx
There's quite a bit of information copied from other websites regarding this issue.

The freezing issues and RROD have been associated with this title since day one and theres some evidence that Che Chou and M$ are making an attempt to cover it up.

IF you don;t belive what's written there, check any popular gaming website.
They've all know about this being an issue since June 25th of this year and many have advised against playing the game until it gets fixed.

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

It isn't just Forza Motorsport 2 folks.  Halo 3/GoW/GHII/PGR4, etc., etc., are all being blamed for the same thing in their forums.  Making posts here, there and everywhere won't get you help.

Microsoft came out with the extended warranty coverage in July this year, and that's the information which should be used.  See:  Xbox 360 Warranty Coverage Expanded for details and the proper links to go to the source of a solution.

EXACTLY the response one would expect from a M$ puppet.
It's obvious at this point NOTHING is going to get us any help.
No matter what you say, this title is flawed and M$ wants to cover it up.

Re: Fill this Form out if your 360 froze or died after playing Forza 2

    1. Where are you from? Arlington VA
2.a. How long have you had your 360? This one, about 4 days
2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite) Not sure of manufacture date; it's a refurb Premium

    3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. I had Forza for about a month and got to Level 34 without a single freeze ever. That was with a Premium 360 purchased in November 2006. My 360 then red-ringed (who knows what was to blame, although I had been playing Forza prior to the red-ring). A replacement unit was sent to me and I got it last Thursday. Since then, I have been unable to play Forza without having it freeze on me. I cleared the cache and it still freezes. It freezes during a race, not while browsing cars. It also annoyingly freezes at about lap 6 of 7 or lap 7 of 8. I've tried different cars thinking that may have something to do with it, and I have yet to race with a freeze-free car.
    4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? None: played a lot of Halo 3 and kids played Viva Pinata and had no freezes whatsoever.
    5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Original 360 repaired under the extended 3-yr warranty. I doubt if MS will replace this unit since everything else BUT Forza plays just fine (so far).
