Avanti 63r1025:
No audio from my personal car, but I love the centrifugal supercharger on my '63 Avanti.
I had fun driving a supercharged 5L V-8 to high school. Late one night my friend (in his '68 327 Chevelle) and I were coming home from a 24-hour restaurant. He was in the lane next to me while we were driving home and he told me the next morning that he was in heaven, listening to my blower whine from one lane over.
Meanwhile, this other friend was still outside the restaurant getting ready to leave. He told us the next morning, "All I could hear were two muscle cars racing home in the distance."
I drove a '76 Avanti II with a 400 sbc and 700R4 in High School. I also drove a '59 Willys 4x4 pickup and my dad wanted me to sell it and he was going to give me this really wicked 67 Nova w/ a 327 and a Muncie rock crusher. My mom nixxed that idea pretty quick though haha. Probably a good thing though, 17 year olds shouldnt drive legit 11 second street cars.
Dad ended up selling the Nova to buy a '60 Studebaker Hawk that was turbo charged by the great Ak Miller and I drove that some in High School too... We didnt have money so I was'nt cruisin around in a brand new beemer like the 'cool' kids were, but I drove the coolest cars when I was in high school.
And you totally need to get some vids of your 63 R2. People just don't know how fast those supercharged Studebakers really are. R2 Avanti's and R2 Super Larks are among my favorite cars.
What? "The Jaggys" ???? What the hell is that?
It's a way of saying "I'm not a real sim racing fan and only care about gfx".
