I have put a few vids together of how to make faded flames for all of those who wanted to know. Here is what I will be showing you how to make.

Ok. So first of all im sure there is a better way to do this, but since you have 1000 layers in Forza 2 I do it this way. Sorry there is no music or anything in these videos its all just me doing the paint job. It is about 30 minutes long in total, but it is separated into 4 parts because youtube wouldnt allow me to upload the whole video. I'm sure it will get quite boring, and really you dont have to watch the whole thing because alot of it is just the same thing over and over. Well now that you know all of this stuff you can watch the video.

So all of that is just getting your fade layed out on the car and then laying out where you want your flames to be. You can also put other backgrounds behind there if you dont want a typical flame. Here is an example of a car with flames but not your typical flames. It has rocks breaking down to expose the metal sheeting underneath.

Then here is what the car that im doing looked like after I got done setting up the fade.
Now that you know some of the things you can do with these types of flames ill direct you to the second video in this set of tutorials.

Now what im doing in that video is im taking circles and squares the same color of the car to cover up the excess fade that I dont need. You can also use other shapes as well.
Here is the third video.

In this video im doing the same thing repeatedly as I was doing in the second video.
Here is the last video.

In this video I finish up covering the excess fade for the flames. Then I finally finish it by going through and finding where I originally placed my white flames that I used for a guide. Once I found them I just simply pressed x to cut them all out to reveal what my flames looked like. Here is what it looked like when I finished.

As you can tell by the pic above my flames are real subtle and barley visible so I decided to go in and change the color of my fade and the square that I put behind it in the first video. Here is what my flames look like after I did that.

As you can see they are quite a bit more visible. You should be able to get a real nice looking flame with about 100 layers. Thats about it to making nice looking flames. Any questions you have just ask me, and I will try my best to give you an answer. I will appreciate all feedback on these tutorials. I think thats all I have to say. Just remember to have fun doing this and be creative with your ideas. Those are the best to look at.
