This is my WIP of the Thorney Motorsport VXR-R. Its  such a cool car I just had to do it!! The thorns on either side a asymetrical as on the reall deal and I've triedto do it as accurate as possble. Sorce pics have been hard to come by barring some really good shots in Autosport and I caught the rear of the car almost as a fluke when it was being towed on a trailer out of Thruxton. So that was lucky!!

I'll post the final thing when its finished which shouldn't be soooo lng now : D

Its from the BARC Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup which runs as part of the Dunlop Great and British meetings. They are at Castle Combe this weekend.

 Captain Mattirex, I work for Thorney Motorsport,look after all the performance centres for John Thorne.

Your car looks amazing but if you want it perfect then the wheels on our car are the standard Vauxhall 18 inch but painted yellow.

If you want any more pics or to come and see the car let me know, can also sort you out some tickets for the race days if you want to in our hospitality.

Are you putting up for sale in the Auction House?

I'm a friend of Captain Mattirex, and I think I can answer part of this for him.

The reason the alloys are not standard on his version is due to the game only having one set of Vauxhall alloys as standard, which are different from the ones on the real car.  Plus, you can't colour them.  So he picked the alloys that were closest and used them.  I'm currently making the VX Racing Vauxhalls and facing the same problem. 

We run a website called the Forza 2 British Grand Touring Association.  From it, we run two primary series, the British GT and the BTCC, and a few side series, for instance our GRID championship.  We have been looking at starting some new championships, and one of them we plumped for was the Sport Maxx series.

Hi Guys,

Back from Hols now.

Spoke to John Thorne yesterday while we were at Brands Hatch,loved the car,he also sent it to our sponsors.

We are at Thruxton in 2 weeks time so if you want to come let me know asap so i can arrange some tickets for you.

John use to race a Vx220, was green with teeth on the front,in the corner of the workshop at present,can get you some pics if you want, he races a M3 CSL now in the Kumo championship.

In September we are doing a 24hr race in another Vx220,should be live on our website.

Wow, this is so cool.  Captain Mattirex will be delighted.

Wish I could get to Thruxton, but living on the west coast of Scotland, it's quite a distance away.

Would be great to get some more pics, especially of the VX220s.  Got one in my Forza garage that needs a paint job.
