    James,

We're going to have some very similar cars (in many respects) going head-to-head at GT Live at VIR. It'll be fun to say the least. What is your block/turbo setup?

P&L would like to save the details on the engine/turbo setup for a formal reveal in a few weeks.  Until then I can tell you that we are using one of P&L's turbo kits that is available to consumers.  I agree that our cars should be on a fairly level playing field.  I am really looking forward to the VIR event!  But we should meet at Summit Point in August as well, right?

A question, when painting a racing car in real life how hard is it to both sides of the car the same?
At the end of the day, a game is a game, so play it and have a laugh, rather then pulling out your hair out at the guy who's doing something wrong. If they fall, pick 'em up! Taking something too seriously takes away the fun, which ruins the game. ;)

The base paint will be white, and is the same all around.  The decals are applied with vinyl.  So it isn't any trouble at all.

I saw an edition of Rides on Discovery recently where they were making a souped up old NY cab for a hotel in Las Vegas & a good tip they pointed out when painting it to keep things symetrical was to look at it from the front with the doors open as you go along...not the most technical of solutions but I thought it was pretty clever.

    you haz PM duff.

    >@xevious: How do get the decal on the other side of the car (mirrored) to be in the same spot as the other side? I allways wondered this since I want to put a 'shopping list' on my car lol. This is just for decals and not the belt strap as that is big and I ssume the points where they match up are found much easier.

Apply the decals to one side.
    Take a photo.
    Mirror it in Photoshop.
Print it and use it as a guide.

    Does that work?

I've really gotta get into this Vynil business, I could put stickers on sweeta$$ cars all day, and straight up bend people over with the bill! To hell with this Marketing BS!

We really appreciate the enthusaism guys.  Myself, P&L Motorsports, and Leyden Auto Body are all working very hard to get the car to the track by the end of the month.  I know the guys at P&L and Leyden both are working overtime and weekends to make this happen.  Your enthusiasm is fueling our energy!  So who's coming to Nashville on July 26/27 to see our debut?

I have added an update to Page 1 today, but sorry, no pics.

    July 11, 2008

Leyden Auto Body is working at a very fast pace!  The car is already in the paint booth and the base white coat is complete.  Saturday the car will receive the pearl coat and clear coat.  It will spend the weekend in the paint booth curing.  By Tuesday the 15th it should be back at P&L.  Although it looks like we won't have the luxury of testing the car on the 19th and 20th at Autobahn, I plan to head up to Chicago that weekend to turn some wrenches.

Sorry no photos in the last couple updates.  I'll have photos of the painted car uploaded by 21st if not sooner.

Good thing you stripped all the extra weight, cause that looks to be a lot of paint you're spraying on. Might end up cancelling out in the end. lol. jk.

I always post our in-car videos on our webpage and my YouTube page.  In the near future, Redline Time Attack events will be broadcast live on the web.
