Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

i haven't read the hole thread so i dont know if you've already said, but how exactly do you drift? what do you do to get the car sideways(you know what i mean), keep going sideways round the corner and then straight on the way out.im tryin it in my sparco evo right now and i cant get it to DRIFT!!!

**even when i get the car sideways a bit it slows down loads, and im sure that not supposed to happen?

    Lexus IS 300 By Ale

Yes, You are reading this right. Two different cars, two different classes, same *tuning* setup. The upgrade set-ups are one after another, starting with the Lexus:

Car Manufacturer and Name: Lexus IS 300  Class: B PI: 699

    [List of Upgrades]

Power: Sport Fuel System, Street Ignition, Race Intake, Race Exhaust

    Platform and Handling:
Full race kit, 1.5 way diff, max weight reduction.

    Wheels:
Sport compound,  255/30/19 front and rear, Work VS-RF style.

    Aero:
    C-west, Kaminari mix... (optional)

Car Manufacturer and Name: Toyota Altezza 200 Class: D PI: 400

    [List of Upgrades]

    Power:
    Sport Ignition

    Platform and Handling:
Full race kit *Minus the Flywheel which is Street and a Stock Clutch, 1.5 way diff, Street weight reduction

    Wheels:
Blitz Technospeed 21's, stock size and compound.

    Aero:
    Complete Forza 2 kit.

    [Car Settings]

    Tire Pressure
    Front: 32 psi
    Rear: 38 psi

    Gearing
    Final Drive, 3.40. First, 2.88. Second, 2.00. Third ----> Sixth = Stock.

    Alignment
    Camber front: -1.1
    Camber Rear: -0.5
    Toe Front: -0.1
    Toe Rear: -0.0
    Front Caster: 4.6 degrees

    Anti Roll Bars
    Front: 9.01 Rear: 12.08

    Springs
    Front: 433.5 lb/in
    Rear: 397.7

    Ride Height
    Front: 5.2
    Rear: 5.3 in

    Rebound Damping
    Front: 6.8
    Rear: 6.8

    Bump Stiffness
    Front: 3.4
    Rear: 3.8

    DownForce
    Front: Stock Rear: Stock

    Braking Force
    Balance: Neutral
    Pressure: 153%

    Differential
    Rear Accel: 68%
    Rear Decel: N/A

Note: This is a good base set-up for both cars as they are quite similar. The Toyota version is slightly underpowered for most experienced drifters, but there is plenty of room in that engine bay... can anyone say Supra twin turbo? ...Setup in the works.

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

It seems I made a typo when posting this BMW set-up, http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/permalink/161300/258823/ShowThread.aspx#258823.

It said it was for a 1997 BMW E46... When it should have been E36. It has been corrected, and my apologizes to anyone who tried to build a newer M3 E46 using those guildlines. I will be posting a set-up for the 2000+ M3 E46, using those parts, very soon.

Also, Rylin has an E46 set-up linked two posts above my 1997 set-up in this thread, which I can say works quite well.

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

This is an amazing game Turn 10, well done.
God bless to all who made this game, it was made for the right reasons, unlike quite a few games out there.

I built this F355, i'm having so much fun drifting this thing I had to post it here.
I loved F355 on Arcade and Dreamcast, and it seems you guys do too.
Yu Suzuki's favourite number seems to crop up a lot. lol

Thanks again for this game, it's been a while since I could just sit down and play a game for enjoyment. I hope you enjoy the setup if you try it out.

Thanks Ale and rylin, I was waiting for a supra RZ guide :) great

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

Corrections made in the R32 skyline set-up: 265 is the proper tire width. The Wing is made by Top Secret, not Jun. ...and there is a Do-Luck hood I didn't mention.

Many thanks to the people who brought this to my attention.

PS: Lankfisher, did you try the AWD S13 setup in your RWD s13? And if so... was it geared wrong, or just didn't handle well? It's built with more power than the SR20DET can produce, and it's all too the rear wheels. I've done runs with the RWD in there, and it feels just as nice, even if it does reduce the angle I can hold a little.

PSS: Mugen S2000 set-up is on the way.
