Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

Car Manufacturer and Name: Nissan Silvia s13 Club k (RB26DET Skyline AWD Swap)
    Class:
    U PI: 999

    [List of Upgrades]

    Power:
    Full race kit, max everything.

    Platfrom and Handling:
Full race kit, max everything. Max weight removed.

    Wheels:
Optional, the lighter and wider the better.

    Aero:
Again optional, but being able to adjust downforce is always a bonus.

    [Car Settings]

    Tire Pressure
    Front: 29
    Rear: 26

    Gearing:
    Final Drive, 3.37
    First, 2.94
    Second, 2.03
    Third, 1.55
    Fourth, 1.23
    Fifth, 1.03
    Sixth, .88

    Alignment
    Camber front: -0.4
    Camber Rear: -0.7
    Toe Front: 0.1
    Toe Rear: 0.2
    Front Caster: 4.7

    Anti Roll Bars
    Front: 9.56
    Rear: 9.08

    Springs
    Front: 408.1
    Rear 381.4

    Ride Height
    Front: 4.6
    Rear: 4.7

    Rebound Damping
    Front: 6.8
    Rear: 6.1

    Bump Stiffness
    Front: 3.4
    Rear: 3.0

    DownForce
    Front: 100 lb
Rear: Stock (No wing on mine)

    Braking Force
    Balance: Neutral
    Pressure: 150%

    Differential
    Front Accel: 50%
    Front Decel: 50%
    Rear Accel: 20%
    Rear Decel: 20%

    Torque Split: 100% rear

This set-up is quite tame considering the power involved, and actually makes it a pretty hot 0-100 car as well. It should be said that this set-up could also be used as a starting point for a RB26DET swapped, 100% rear torque, S14. Then adjust spring rates, tire and braking pressure up for the added weight of the s14 chassis. Step two would be tighten the gear ratios for more acceleration and presto, s14 sideways. Also, it will clock in at under PI:999 if done right, giving it S class status for racing. My current, Skyline powered, S14 is race specced. I'll post specifics on it when it becomes a full time drift car.

Still to come:  A B700 1969 Fairlady Z with no power Mods for beginners to learn on and power up as they go, B700 AE86, U999 R34 NUr with the VRH RWD swap that will power over in any gear at any rpm above 1500, and a crazy fast (literally and laterally) S997 '04 STi.

...Then it's on to Supra's and Rx7's. This game rocks.

    Enjoy,

    <3 Ale.

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

Hi, I'm a beginner and I was wondering if these setting would work in a Evo VIII MR? I assume they would since they are already on an Evo VIII (Just the sparco version) but then again I'm not much of a car guy, I input this into my Evo VIII and I like the way it handles if anybody has any other input or if you more experienced guys out there think I'm doing this wrong please any input would be appreciated! awesome work keep it up!

    Information:

This setup took me a good hour or two worth of tuning and testing to fit my style. It will drift when you want it too and still maintains decent control. Just be sensitive on the throttle or you'll be spinning out in frustration. I'd advise tweaking it after you set your car up with this to conform to your own drifting style. Enjoy!

    PS:

In my opinion, since it was asked, the Evo set-up in this thread will work in the MR. Also, request for rear-drive Del Sol set-up noted and in the works.

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

Aye, it should be noted that all of my set-ups are using american units of measure.

I'm canadian, and therefore am used to a bastardized measurement system. We are technically metric... but people measure their height in feet and inches, tire pressures in pounds per square inch and power in number of horses. Of course, then we turn around and measure speed in Km/h, volume in litres and weight in kilograms. Backwards, whale blubber and kraft dinner eating, dogsled racing, beady eyed, flappy headed canadians...

    Blame us. =)

Also, I've not mentioned that all of my set-ups are tuned using the M$ FF wheel exclusively and could be very different animals on a controller.

Once you get the hang of it, start tweaking the spring stiffness, tire pressure, and camber to get the car sliding more easily as you become more comfortable. Enjoy!

    Info:
Here's a setup I use regularly on my 350z. Just tap the e-brake till it starts to slide, then use your throttle as a way to control your angle and speed. As you get used to it, start tweaking with the tire pressure in the back if you want it to be more loose. Increase the front camber to give the front tires more control during a drift or vice versa. Just have to find your preferred style and fine tune. Enjoy!

Just added my 350z/350z (Pre-Order) setups to my previous post. I'll try and work with the rx-7 for you guys and try to have a base drift setup in a few.

Still interested in a proper R32 drift tune. Right now i'm using the STI tune and well, it could use some work. I'd tweak it but I don't know what im doing.

Re: Drift Settings Database (Forza 2 Set-ups Only)

if you take an STi or an Evo or any awd car for that matter and set all the torque to the rear, does it actually feel like a RWD car? because I remember in Forza 1 when you set the torque all the way to the rear it still felt like an AWD.
