    This Needs fixing Urgently T10,

By the way guys, have none of you ever thought, If it were Microsoft then all games wouldnt work, It has to have at least a little bit to do with T10,  Get it fixed and stop ignoring people who have put so many hours and money into your game.  Seriously it needs fixing coz I might not have an internet connection soon, therefore all those 850 acheivements and all that racing time will be out the window.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

seeing that i have downloaded ALL the content available for forza and my 360 was 'repaired' very quickly (no more than a day) i have a feeling xbox support will have my dad coming towards them at full force which is REALLY not a good thing.

the last time this happened was when he was having his car repaired and didnt include some of the parts of the repair in the price they quoted him on the phone. you can imagine how angry you would be if the FINAL price of your repair was quoted at £750 and then they asked for over £1400 on a car that was probably only worth about £1500 at the time. needless to say with my dad being in super cross mode the bill was £750 in the end.

anyway, back on topic. hope the problem gets sorted out for my case, your case and the helpdesks case.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Snowowl its NOT an xbox problem its a software issue, this game like a few others before it has had this problem since it came out, i work for a company that sells the consoles and the software, so ive had many many numerous opportunities to test this out, so for the final time, ITS THE BLOODY GAME, the software works offline if you download the dlc then disconnect from live then put the disc in to play ut when you go online it asks you to update or you cant play online, and this is where the problem occurs, as soon as you update the game to play on live, BANG, the software will not let you play offline from that point on, stop ranting about xbox cs as they pretty much dont exist unless you are fluent in 56,000 languages non of which are English, maybe your sleeping with bill gates as your getting some sort of help that we are not, but for the rest of us normal folk, there seems to be no remedy, as it stands at this moment in time, you pay Microsh*t a ton of money for nothing better than a defective doorstop.
So to clarify Snowowl, this game had issues BEFORE and AFTER the famous 'fall' update.
Che also happens to be on my friends list, if he is on yours also why dont you politely ask him if he or turn10 can do anything about it.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

When my 360 died, I took it back to the Gamestop I got it from because I had bought a 1 year replacement warranty from them, back when they were still offered. I got a new one and of course, none of my DLC worked offline. But I called Xbox Customer Support about it, and basically they had me fax them a copy of the receipt for the returned Xbox and they released all my content from my old Xbox for me to redownload and get licenses back on the new one. They did this within a week, pretty much. This included all game content and XBLA games.

So, for everyone who has this problem, call Xbox support and prepare to fax your reciept and the problem should be fixed. Their DLC scheme is pretty wonky, but I can't complain too much since it was legitimately fixed for me within a week.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

I recently got a replacement Xbox 360 also from Game, they said to me I shouldnt have anymore probs coz it had all the new things installed in it, anyway it runs lovely and is the 3rd one ive had, not once have I had clean disc error, Anyway back to the point. I just am so fuming about not being able to play Forza offline and I mean what would happen if I couldnt get the Internet where I lived anymore or I couldnt afford to pay for Internet anymore. This is very Disgusting if im right in thinking I would have to start a whole new game. I swear to god man I wish id kept my PS3 instead of taking it back and getting an Xbox. As soon as I get the Cash together im going back to PS3, I love this game and yet this has ruined it for me now.

How do I fax the receipts with no Fax machine ? and how to I email it also when that stupid outlook express just wont work as keeps asking me for POP3 port number and some other stupid server things. Then also the phone bill would be sky High foning them Divvies who are just pure Con Merchants.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Well, when they told me to fax it, I didn't have a problem with it so I agreed. If you call them and talk to them about it, there might be some other method you can use. They just want you to prove that you really did return your Xbox, so maybe there's some other way to do that.

    Just call and see.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Sneaky, if you dont have the internet then your console wont update except for the updates that you get built into the games so it wont affect you. It only affects people online if you read the post properly it says clear as day, "go online update then try it", maybe you should learn to read and understand things properly before you stick your 2 pence worth in.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Yes it can affect you.  If you used to have an internet connection, and then don't have it anymore.  Its funny that you are insulting me when you are the person who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

I do know what im talking about as i have the problem, if you didnt have the internet anymore, but had the original console that the dlc was downloaded too, then you would be ok offline. If like us you had our problem, then yes you would be right.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Im not saying this isnt a problem because its happening to me too.  My house got struck by lightning and killed my wireless bridge so ive been without live and my xbox's ethernet port is fried.  but instead of paying microsoft to repair it and then buy another bridge im just buying the usb adapter to save money.  But you dont have to have gold to sign in to live so you dont have to renew your subscription to be able to use the dlc

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Forza 2 is one of those weird games where if you have DLC the game won't let you load your save period, which is good in a way since it autosaves and that would remove your DLC content cars if you happen to have any.

Then again it also stinks because you can't use your save at all.
Also if your patch gets overwritten  and even if you have your DLC content tied to your current 360 and are unable to re-dl the patch your save file becomes un-usable as well.

For anyone who doesn't know about the Patch cache go to the wishlist forum at xbox.com.  There's a topic on there about it but if you have noticed how some games keep asking you to be updated even though you already have,  you've already come across the issue.

Re: Why can't I play this game anymore offline?

Microsoft has released a license transfer tool very recently:

    http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/?WT.svl=nav

You guys should try it if you'd like to.
