i put my car up for sell in the auction house and it didnt sell and the auctions over with. i went to go collect it back from the auction house and it came up with a warning that said this Forza profile has been tampered with. please delete and create a new one. does anyone know what happened??? does it need to be deleted or what do i need to do. any help would be great thanks.

Before doing or trying anything, please see the information in the Forza Motorsport 2 FAQ for details about a specific information which Turn 10 can fix.  It must be the specific message, and if it is, follow exactly the details of what to submit to Turn 10.  If it does not fit the criteria outlined, you've got corruption and will have to start over.

SAME HERE! dude someone tampered with mine and I called Xbox and they said to wait. THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK!! so I just started a new profile and had my  friends get me back up in ranks. Now look at me I have 50 million and still rising!lOL alothough I am an ok painter and drifter LOL. But yeah, my advice is to go to the dashboard and go to the Hard drive, then find you GT and scroll down to forza, then delete the profile that you use, then just have your friends help you work your way back up

LIL BIG:  Please don't recommend someone wipe out their hard-earned credits, etc., when there might be a chance that Turn 10 can fix it.  There are specific circumstances where that error message appears, and if it falls under the proper conditions it can be fixed.

 see i bought the car in career mode and thought i'd put a paint job on it and put it in the auction house to sell... and well it didnt sell, and when i try to reclaim it just gave me that warning.. but ill try and see what i can do frist before i have to delete it like the other guy said..

Ive had this message aswell.  Worked hard to get all my credits and a few cars in my garage.  So to make some credits I sold one on the Auction House and it went okay but when I went to get the credits for it, it kept saying transaction failed and then I started getting the "tampered with" message.

I have sent the e-mail to Forza as mentioned in the FAQ etc but not sure how long it takes, will have to wait and see but hope it doesnt take to long as I cant buy or sell new cars and thats part of the fun, getting the cars I need to race with.  And I cant receive gifted cars from my friends either.

Anyone had this problem and may know how long it takes to resolve.. Would be grateful for any help

I emailed them and they fixed it. I'm sure glad I don't have to start over. Thanks to everybody with their suggestions.
