I say repair, but I mean replacement. Anyway, I can no longer play this game offline because I've had my 360 "repaired" so the premium DLC I downloaded is copyrighted to broken console (they had to actually replace it, not repair it). The point is, the game will not let me play offline because it says that there is downloadable content missing that is linked to my profile. Basically, if I'm not signed into Live, I can't play the game, period, because the copy protection knows that this isn't the original console I downloaded it on.

What the hell have they done it like this for? Any other game will just not let you use the premium content if you're not signed into Live. They don't stop you using your profile fullstop just because it has premium DLC tied to it that is unavailable.

This needs fixing Turn 10. I paid full money for this game when it came out and now I can't play it (unless signed into Live) with my main profile that contains my game save because I've had my console repaired.

I actually stumbled across this problem just last week, took my xbox 360 hard drive home swapped it with my younger brother's and signed in but didn't connect to live, and like you said wasn't able to play.  Hopefully there's something that will remedy this problem in the pipe.

I have the same problem mate, really s**t!

They should update the game to fix this issue, Its been driving me nuts.

Me too, i've had the same problem on FM2 & test drive.

I took my console over to my friends house the other night as I wanted to show him some of my cars in my garage.  I got that same message.  This is horrible.  I have had no less than 5 repairs on my xbox, and now to add insult to injury, I can't play Forza unless I'm connected to live?   This is retarded.  Something needs to be done.

I also have to signed in to play any of the 10 or so arcade games I bought.  What if I don't renew my membership?  The system they have in place is horrible.

Yes. Deleting the DLC and redownloading it doesn't work. The license for the DLC is still tied to the broken console regardless.

And whilst I CAN get online whenever I want, I don't want to have to. If Live is down for maintenance, or my internet connection is down for whatever reason, then I can't get online, which means I can't play Forza, which is quite honestly unacceptable.

Although i've had my xbox repaired i hadnt downloaded any extra cars or tracks until it came back. i'm wondering if when you download a car pack is some of the info to load the car on some kind of server or have other people downloaded cars and had no probs playing off line?

my copy of test drive was doing this long before i had my xbox in for repair.

It has to do with the DRM crap Microshaft put in the console to avoid piracy.  They are aware of it and say they are working on it but until we actually see an update remedying the problem I tend to take what they say with a pinch of salt.  Really is bullsh*t though spending all this money on a damn console and having stupid crap like this to contend with....especially given the fact that the cooling design of it sucks as bad as it does.

I know it's to do with the anti-piracy stuff but I should still be able to play the game.

Take Oblivion for example. I can still play the game with my gamesave and profile that are linked to the DLC. It just doesn't let me access the DLC unless I'm signed into Live. It doesn't stop me playing the game fullstop just because it can't access the DLC like this game does.

As poor as the 360 hardware is and as stupid as the copyprotection system is, the fact that this game doesn't let you play it if it can't access your DLC is unacceptable.

Of course it's a Turn 10 issue. It's nothing to do with the way the fall update handles things. It did this BEFORE the damn fall update.

This is a game issue. The game should still let you play, it should just restrict access to the premium DLC if you're offline. It shouldn't block you from using your profile and gamesave completely just because it has DLC tied to it that isn't avaialble.

And don't get me started with Xbox Tech support. They all retards. You get put through to some Asian person at a call centre in India or wherever who can't even f'ing understand the problem you're trying to explain to them.

I've been trying to get the premium DLC license's switched from my old console to this new console since last October. They're useless.

Yes, MS SHOULD sort out my premium DLC problems, but also, this game SHOULD let you still play it if your premium dlc connected to your profile isn't currently available.

I absolutely agree that this is a Turn 10 issue as well as a Microsoft issue seeing as it will definately affect your future DLC sales. I've been BS'd by the customer support for approx.4-5 months now about this issue and it seems that they cant resolve it. It is not MY fault that the consoles were produced defective upon release and from what I can tell STILL have serious cooling issues. I spent my hard earned money on this expensive as "F" product just to be told that my software I purchased is unaccesable to me because of some stupid issue with Microsoft. If such measure are to be implied i would have no issue with it all and ebrace it if the console did not have an inferior reliability. I dont expect T10 to resolve my console replacement glitch as far as patching MS's handywork but i would appreciate it if T10 would patch their software to work without the live connection, be it with or without the DLC cars until MS magically resolves this issue (very skeptical). This will definately hinder me from even considering any future content seeing as this is not my first replacement of my console. I sure as heck am not gunna be stuck in this situation again. I dont understand what the issue is as far as MS is concerned; if i have my HD then that should be good enough. Who cares if the console is different, its not as if I'm burning their intellectual property onto multiple pieces of hardware ! Software I purchased is located on a product which I also purchased from them amd I should be entitled to it. If i can get my profile to work than i will at least consider adding more DLC to it. This is such an unfortunate situation.

I've rung multi times they can hardly speak the queens english let alone understand a problem you have, you'd have better luck ringing your local Pizza store!!

Yes its not T10's fault but they could update there end to allow restricted play when offline, its just another total Micro rip off as usual.. in a nutshell anybody buying DLC for Forza IS FORCED TO PAY FOR LIVE MEMBERSHIP FOREVER if you want to carry on playing Forza
