Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
this type of thing isn't new, it was used at the drag strip to set pretty much all the fastest times in forza one, & I'm sure more than a few of you remember the contrived drafted times of the dr. shocker clan. I support uploading of times from single player modes only. if there is a way to cheat & put one over getting your name on a leaderboard there will always be a certain portion of the community who feels this is acceptable. to think these proven means of manipulating the game would not crop up in this game was naive at best. multi player times should never be allowed on the leaderboards because these times are too easily manipulated, that will not change...... al

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
Thank god this is being looked into. I only hope that action is actually taken and not just "we will see what we can do."
If these kinds of acts are allowed by a few dirty players, it wouldn't be long before formerly honest players would get frusterated and stoop down to their level, filling the scoreboards with ill-legitament times.
Taking action early before it gets out of control is of urgent importance. If you send a message now, people thinking about doing this, might just think twice about it.

GeorgiaDawg72:Well, well, well. Frankly, I'm suprised it took this long before some idiot decided to start screwing the community with this stuff.
And it will get worse. This JVE Cheatinator guy is running multiple gamertags and now has a group of buddes willing to help him. Between his multiple gamertags and his little cheating friends they'll eliminate the possibility of even the fastest guys setting times in the top 10.
Holy crap...Speednation all over again.

Yea, nice to see they wiped the guy on mugello flat off the boards. But there's atleast one more. The #2 time on Suzuka East in C class is definetely bump assisted. Easy to spot that one. Not sure whether the #1 guy used the bump or is just drafting a R1 car or something.

You have the right to defend your team by all means.
But it's facts of Forza 1, SpeedNation drafted everything and multitagged a lot. People like Scooty and me and other hotlappers from Forza 1 will never forget it.
You guys have changed your ways in Forza 2 as King has a tough stance against cheaters in the new SPDN and I am glad he does.
The comment was probably unecessary but Scooty as well as me and a lot of others were affected with what happened in Forza 1.
Quick question though in your sig. There are 2 gamertags there. Thats multi-tagging to me if they are both yours. :)
Sigs should not be used to attack other members.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
Lets keep this thread solely about reporting instances of cheating. See, we got one guy wiped off of the boards already!
Taking swipes at other teams is not helping matters at all and is very unproductive to what is trying to be accomplished here. Please save that stuff for private messages or another thread. Georgia Dawg, C - class Suzuka you say?

Yea, C class Suzuka East. The #2 time is definetely bump cheated, plain to see at the beginning of the lap.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
Mugello Short - D Class
Geud1 - 1st
Silon95 - 2nd
JVE Perturbator - 3rd
Suzuka East - D Class
Silon95 - 1st
JVE Perturbator - 2nd
Suzuka East - C-Class
JVE Perturbator - 1st
Silon95 - 2nd
Looks like T10 took care of Mugello Short- C-Class. Few more to go!
Note: Silon and JVE also have suspect times in B-Class as well (Less obvious), but it doesn't matter. They're all getting deleted anyway.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
Well. What can one say. I didn't do hotlap in Forza 1 because of all the drafting cheating cheating etc etc. The glitches starting with a rediculous time stop on the Auto cross, to Enzo's pushing pulling etc. Now here we go again. Forza 2 came and I thought let me try my hand at this hotlap thing, currently doing R4. I only hotlap in freerun, this way no one can point any fingers. It really sadens me to see me full out driving with my wheel pushing my car to limit and running only #20 + on the speedway due to drafting, this was something I made peace with since there would always be little infants trying to run fast. Then came the bump. Now this is unexceptable for guys who like me spend litterally hours doing all this and with all the tracks it takes time to climb the boards. Please Turn 10 get rid of these guys, wipe their times give them a ban, go over to their house and shoot their dog anything! ok maybe not the dog but ,yes this has got to stop. Limit hotlap boards to freerun then you will never in a million years see those names again ruining our Hotlap boards. Cheers thanks man! Oh and did I say good job to all there at Turn 10!

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
They can't do anything about the Speedways. There's literally hunderds (Thousands?) of suspicious times on them, and there's no logical way to clear them all out. IFor an individual it's either deleting no time, or all times.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
Oh shut up all of you. I have bigger problems to deal with
and you guys complaining like a bunch of old hags about 3 guys who are cheating
is going to result in yet another botched attempt by turn 10 to apiece you
babies and in the end we will all suffer another patch and wipe
go look on any game forum board. You will not see this level of bitching.
Now grow up and help me figure out why I'm getting a warning when I start up
the game saying I can’t buy cars with designs on them. Something about blocked
member created content or something.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
eliminate multi player hotlap times and you would get rid of 99% of cheating on the boards, it is as easy as that. yes we'll be able to tell this latest cheat easy enough but what if it just lands them in say 30th? the boards are just as compromised by slower cheated times as by the fastest times that are getting wiped. the drafting is yet to be a real problem but you all know that it'll eventually effect all the leaderboards, it already is effecting them on the ovals. though most of you are willing to accept that as ok, there are many of us discouraged by this attitude of acceptance of drafted and or cheated times. to think this drafting won't eventually spill over into all the boards much like it did in the first game is just burying your head in the sand. it is being done right now, there will always be a part of this community that will take advantage of the system to see their names near the top. the only way to stop teams or groups of individuals from cheating to gain an advantage is to take their ability to group up and contrive these times away. anything less is just a band aid & will render the boards as useless BS...........
the oval leaderboards should be separated into single player and team/multi player hotlaps, all the fastest oval times belong in a team leaderboard and the people pulling the guy to his hotlap should be listed in the boards also. it was pretty predictable that drafted times would eventually render all our hard work tuning & running the ovals into useless wasted time. I mean we've seen all this before.....

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards
PorscheH6:
Suzuka East - C-Class
JVE Perturbator - 1st
Silon95 - 2nd
I've witheld commenting on the #1 time because after watching the replay it appears that he did not use a faster car to physically push his car. He's not getting the 30 mph boost off the line that the guy in second place (Silon95) is plainly getting. #2 for sure needs to be wiped because it's plain he had something physically pushing his car.
What it appears JVE Pertubator is doing is having faster cars strategically placed on the track so that when he gets on the straight it's there to give him the draft then gets out of his way in the corners. To me, this is just as bad and just as wipe worthy. Although, a little different from what people like Silon are doing with cars actually physically pushing cars to unattainable speeds.

Well I think you are cheating by crying like a old hag that somebody
faster than you has a time on the board that must be removed banished and his
times wiped.
just get over it man
if you spent half the time on the track learning the line you do on here
bitching you would have better times too.

this is exactly what I witnessed several years ago when I joined a dr. shocker clan race/game. several pre positioned cars set to pull a slower class car along one stretch of track then pass him off to another waiting friend/racer. I watched that day as I grew pissed, I was booted from the lobby before I could say anything that day. this will be the norm for those that feel compelled to use whatever means available to get higher on the leaderboards. there is no way to combat this joining of forces to set unrealistic times. the only real answer if the boards will be worth anything would be to do away with multi-player hotlap downloading. I guess taking away the muli class car room option might also limit these ultra contrived drafted times but I know that if I assembled a crew of several good drivers in lower class cars I could engineer a hotlap for one of us without using higher class cars. it sucks but we have many in our community who have no ethics when it comes to setting fast times, that has been proved long ago......
