Report Cheating On Tracks Other Than Nissan Speedway Here

    (EDIT)

Due to the occurrence of people boosting their friends at the beginning of tracks with long straights in multiplayer to achieve unrealistic times, this thread has been created for you to report instances of unfair times being posted to the scoreboards.  Keep in mind this is only for tracks OTHER THAN Nissan Speedway.  As we all know that track is pretty much a lost cause at this point.

This tactic has begun to be used in the lower classes on tracks outside of Nissan Speedway.  Turn 10 has changed their stance on these methods and now consider it cheating.  If you see a suspect time please do the following :

Name the track, class, and position of the potential cheater - followed by a description of how they cheated.
DO NOT NAME THEIR GAMERTAG.  This is not a name and shame thread.  Eliminating the scoreboards of cheated times is all that is trying to be accomplished here.

Turn 10 will then look into it further and decide if the time was actually achieved by cheating.  If so, that person will have their entire hotlap entry wiped.  Every class, every track.  If caught doing it again, the person will be banned altogether from the Forza 2 servers.

Please keep the discussion in this thread solely focused on reporting cheaters.  Once again DO NOT MENTION THEIR GAMERTAG, just the track, class, and position of the suspected time - followed by a description of how they cheated.

Any off-topic or argumentative posts will be deleted by a moderator.  Thanks!

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

Check out Suzuka East as well. Three cheated times, 1-2-3, all set today. Wouldn't be a stretch to say they're in it together.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

I read an older thread about this where they don't consider it cheating - only bad sportsmanship.  I think you're gonna be dissapointed if you really expect anything to be done about it.  This is probably way down on their priority list I would imagine.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

D-class is the same way. There are 4 of them in it together.

    Mugello Short
    Suzuka East

I am sure they are doing it in every class, but I havent looked. This is such freakin crap. Its bad enough with all the glitching. Now, we have these a$$bags that have to bump each other in order to set decent times. Is this what we have to deal with now? If these guys arent banned & scoreboard wiped, then there is no message getting sent. If they dont get punished for this, then you might as well get rid of the scoreboards all together.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

They did in fact announce it in a Pit Pass Report. But these are small amounts of obvious blantent cheaters that could easily be taken care of, and not the hundreds of times on the speedways that are hard to determine if they are legit or not.

They are using unfair methids. Misusing the game. Why not everyone
who is upset give an reaction on their accounts?  File a complaint
that they are using the game in unfair way. If turn 10 / MS gets
hundreds of that they will react. This is sure.

It is one thing to show a glitch and one to missuse unfair practice only for scoreboard times.

It's technically a glitch as well, using collisions as a boost

Of course its cheating. No question. But as long as no one cares about what weare
complaining about and no one takes time to send the complaint, no one will listen.
So give all of these cheaters  bad complaints.

    Of course man!
Btw I already hear Ryan coming and write "any personal attack [...] please e-mail at forzafb@microsoft.com [...]" Stick out tongue [:P]. Seriously, I already reported cheaters in the past with videos and pics as proofs but they're still playing, so if T10 doesn't care about it, why should we care about TOS as long as what we're doing is legit, no matter if it's legal or not.

What the? Rafaby you read me like a book.

Im still unsure on where all this boosting stands, because if it were the case that you could accuse people and they'd be banned or removed from the scoreboards, then T10 would have endless emails of people pointing fingers....

lol, yeah I recognized after you replied.

Back to on:topic - I really hope this doesnt mean teams will be getting into a bump-drafting frenzy. I dont think theres any teams stupid and desperate enough to do that?

We have already had that happen. Nothing was done about it & now, we have others that are blattenly taking advantage of it. I dont care what anyone has to say about this. It is cheating. No if/ands/buts about it.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

This is depressing news guys, i hope they ban all who are using this new way of cheating. This has put me off starting an attack on the scoreboards Sad [:(]
Since the score board wipe i havnt found the motivation to start hotlapping till now and then i read this.
I guess one way of stoping the bump cheat is to disable the uploading of fastest times through multiplayer matches. A bit extreme i know but thats the only way to permanetly stop this.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

This issue was addressed in a pit pass report many weeks ago.  I wasn't happy with the stance Turn 10 took on it, but it was simply one that this is poor sportsmanship not cheating.  That spawned discussion about our scoreboard system.  Ultimately when we get the ability to filter out times placed with a drafting logo that should take care of filtering these guys out of our data.  With that in mind I do not expect them to do anything about what those guys are doing... the game is functioning as it was designed to.  Cars that collide with each other react.  This is the natural reaction of that collision.  There is absolutely nothing I can think of that would prevent this from happening as far as re-coding something in game.

That being said how can we expect Turn 10 to punish people who aren't making the game do something it wasn't designed to do?  Do I like this?  No I'm #19 on Hot lap and at least 1 or 2 of those guys are ahead of me.  Do I understand it?  Yes

Also please do not turn this thread into a witch hunt.  Do not start throwing people under the bus by throwing names in this thread.  That's been a policy since day 1.  Yes I intend to give these users bad feedback, but I also don't intend to let this entire community throw a list of names out there and run all over it.

Re: Turn 10 protect the integrity of your scoreboards

Easily enuf fixed however, make hotlaps times only available via Freerun and only post times to the scoreboards with no penalty time whatsoever.

Multiplayer scoreboards will and have always been able to be manipulated by persons such as these.

    p175:

... only post times to the scoreboards with no penalty time...

THIS would really easy fix a LOT of problems! This is a quite good idea.
This would even fix a lot of misusing some available shortcuts
    on the tracks.

Sometimes you are faster even if you take the penalty... look at Road Atlanta
    as example.

AND... it is an easy to do...
