The Rennsport Porsche 911 GT3-RSR

 

Here is SW2's first release on Forza Motorsport 3.  Speedba has done an exceptional job replicating the Porsche 911 GT3-RSR on the #45 Flying Lizard 2008 GT3-RSR Race Car in Forza.  This livery is amazing to look at from any angle, and compliments the car in every way.  

To go along with the amazing livery, I've created a user-friendly R3 tune for the car.  It cannot be upgraded fully to R3|800, so it is admittedly somewhat of a niche tune, but it is fun to drive.  It claws at the road at every corner and never really gets out of hand, all while achieving an amazing amount of turn-in and mid-corner grip.  This car seems to feel the most exceptional at mid to long length courses, such as Suzuka, Road Atlanta, Motegi, and Road America.

SW2 will be giving away the first 100 copies of this paint and tune.  When those are gone, the price will be the governed maximum of 10K Cr. for each (We've gotta make some money to work on our next car after all).  We've given much discussion to how we'd handle the Storefront, so please observe below the specification for which car you'd like:

Photo Contest

Our first Photo Contest of Forza Motorsport 3 will be a simple one.  Take a photo of the Rennsport Porsche 911 GT3-RSR on any track.  You can resize to as small as 500x281.  There will be a two picture maximum for submission.

Each entrant will get 1 point towards SW2 Platinum Membership, with first place taking home 4 additional points, second 3 additional points, and third 2 additional points.

Additional prizes will also be given out.  I'm in the process of painting a Limited Edition of the livery, that will consist of another replica of a GT3-RSR in much the same manner.  I don't want to reveal it yet, as it's not complete, but I will post pictures when it's done.  I will award 1 each for first, second, and third place. 

Get your entries in, and don't forget, if you can post a verified top 100 time that's an additional 2 Platinum Membership points.  This car isn't exactly a LB burner, but it's definitely capable on a few courses.

Everyone who gets the prize can contact me for the Porsche livery (it goes with the stock tune) and the three winners can contact dn604 for the C6.R.  Because this is a car you get free during career and because we're not exactly rolling in the dough yet, we're going to give you the tune and paint free via the Storefront.  Upgrades are roughly 20K Cr., so not steep at all.

Personal Record: 21-0 l FMDA II Staff l RIP DIS: 2007 - 2010

Hmmm, interesting that you have chosen to tune this car. But listen, this thing will be wasted with the current state of the R3 class. There is only 1 true test I think this car could undergo, and that is to be tuned for the RWS Le Mans race in December, where the winning driver will receive a pass for the actual Le Mans 24 hours. If this car were to be tuned for the Le Mans track, it will at least have a chance against other REAL R3 cars. But then again, Le Mans requires speed builds, and I'm not sure if this car is suited for that. But hey, if you guys are interested, I'll be more than happy to test drive for you. I hit a top 10 time on the FM3 demo in this thing so I've driven it quite a bit. 

 That said, I'll look to pick one up tomorrow regardless :)

I can't find the tune without ABS. Blonde Avengers tune is showing up but not the other one.
