    Re: Forza 2 faceplate

I didn't mean it like that. Instead of saying something basically like "you suck" you could have said "The rear-end needs improvement". I personally can't complain because I know that I can't draw anything, unless it's a stick figure, and I think he did a great freehand job.

    Re: Forza 2 faceplate

i thought it looked pretty good as far as talent goes, it does have a slight weird looking rear end but all i can say is kudos mate, i think you did a good job on it.

Cool [H] Re: Forza 2 faceplate

If I had more than the 15 minutes it took me to download and figure out GIMP, I'd have done some of the car wash hotties spongieing down these rides...

I think I'd want one without all the destracting embossed junk..

I wish I had the time to take some of my pics and cut out the cars to make a nice garage of front ends like I think the Original Road and Track Need For Speed had in their manual... HHmm wonder why Road And Track is no longer is associated with NFS..

Hey Mister, nice collection of models there, are those Maisto?.  As for the faceplate, the picture looks a little stretched.

Cool [H] Re: Forza 2 faceplate

Maybe I can more quickly and easily take pics of models from above, front and side and do some quick transparency between them and create a garage of angles of sorts...

max sig img size 115h x 480w. Thanks

I only collect 1:18ths and they range from AutoArts, Maistos, Hot Wheels, Kyosho, Minchamps, and so many more.

Can anyone name these in this part of the collection?

yeah, sweet!! Turns found the f40 model. If it is the one that I am thinking of, it was red, and had sparco seats in it. Well, I can't wait for tonight.

    Re: Forza 2 faceplate

And if something is totally wrong in his drawing is that, somehow, the back of the cars ends up in a lower position than the front.

And no, it's not the angle of the pictures.

I purposefully made the angle that way - it's called PERSPECTIVE. lol Big Smile [:D]  The back of the car is met to look as if it is "fading" away into the background.  It would make absolutely no sense for the back end of the car to look bigger than the front...again, the perspective was done on purpose by me to make the front end look as if it is kind of sitting towards you.

But I'm glad some of you guys liked my entry.

    Re: Forza 2 faceplate

Okay, here is my second entry...(that car is actually taken from Forza 1...cool, huh?)

I worked on this image when FM1 came out and I put together a box cover concept that I sent onto MS as an idea before they released their official box cover.  The memories... Smile [:)]

    Re: Forza 2 faceplate

Nice collection of model cars, Mister2zx3. To say I was jealous would be an extreme understatement!!

Ryan, your Celica proportions aren't quite right(the nosecone is a little too steeply angled over the front wheelarch, the side could do with a bit more height/thickness between the windows and the roofline, especially at the back, and the RL bottom of the window line isn't quite as flat, it's on a slight angle), but it's a more complicated shape than most people realise. Besides its a damn site better than I could do, mate! I think the colours suit the plate too. Keep up the good work.

Looking back over the thread, I've realised how much I like the carbon fibre look filling in bare spots in the pictures. Makes you feel like the console is part of the car.

    One last thing.

FAR OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are all so talented!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A friendly critique:

-Car needs to have color to show contrast

-And a texture in the background would add nicely to the faceplate, too much negative space

I like the reference to the trailer!

That is a real picture there, no photoshopping at all. The mesh is that see through in the back. Its beautiful.
