A couple of things I would like to see.

 

1.  Instead of a braking line, a light meter or something unobtrusive on the side of the screen going from green to yellow to red.  I need the braking line but I love seeing the track without the arcady line on it.

2.  AI for multiplayer like PGR3.  My buddy is horrible at racing but still loves to race.  He won't buy forza though because he can't compete online and only two of us in the room would be incredibly boring.  We play PGR3 all the time with the AI and just the two of us.  DON'T MAKE THE CAR PHYSICS like PGR3, I love the sim aspect but give us AI cars in multiplayer please.

3. Better design tools and a way to sell individually created graphics on the AH not layered on a car, buy the car, highlight all the layers, rename it, yada, yada, yada

4. For tuners ability to not only put a tune on a car but immediatly with one button press buy all parts required for a saved tune.  I could build cars in 5 minutes to sell instead of hours.

5.  Ability to modify locked paint jobs but not resell them or copy them.  If I buy a sweet paintjob I'd like to tweak it, my own number and so forth, but I shouldn't then be able to replicate.  If you want to sell it you can but ALL paint is removed when you do and it goes back to stock paint.  I want to prootect the painting community but if I buy a car I should be able to make some changes to it.

6.  Locked tunes, locked tunes, locked tunes.  I understand pulling tunes from the leaderboard, but it's to easy to just buy a well tuned car, copy the tune and the sell as your own

7.  More data on the car in the info screen.  How many hot laps has it run, does it have any top 100 times, top 500, top 1000

8.  Can the physics be tweaked so high horsepower rockets don't dominate the leaderboards.  Seems there should be more of a penatly in handeling, plus in online you have to modify your line all the time to get through corners.  These beasts advantage is the straights and nobody gets in their way so they always have the advantage in online as well.

Just some suggestions I'd like to see.  Love the game and play it way more then the other 40 titles I've owned.

I want to race against my own pimped and tuned cars, now we can only choose from the standard cars when we race in system-link races, is it possible to choose from your own garage box when we assign cars for the AI.

I know you are working on your next project (presumely Forza 3) so there might not be that much time to make stuff for Forza 2.

But:

You are happy about the acitivity from your community.

I played Forza since the first day of its release and I still love it and we always had "DLC-evenings" when new stuff came out.

You can be proud of the game and your community but you also should give us more new stuff so it won´t get boring till the next Forza title comes.

DLC keeps the community alive.
Keep that in mind :)

C´mon use your chance. The opponent Gran Turismo will come in 2010 so much time for you to gain a lot of lead here :D

more models for cars would be awsome (like the different body styles of a car exp; mustangs 66 to most recent.....i like the selections, and i think we all want a certin style more then another right?)

I truly believe and want the next forza game to come out with more body kits, wheels, but more importantly!!! wheel offsets and widths.....and the option to have CHROME WHEELS! maybe add a boost control mode to turn down/up boost. sometimes its nice to not have the max HP in the car...and to be able to turn down HP by a boost controller would be a cool feature. but more importantly....gotta have those chrome wheels/widths/offsets!!

i could think of a million things that would completely top out the next forza...however i know that if u go completely out ...it does take a lot...and it will be almost impossible to make another forza...but i really think it would be a good idea to make drifting a lil bit bigger part of it...im not sayin make it like all these other driftin games where the drift is completely fake and all u have to do is turn the wheel to start ...leave the controls the same...if u wanna add a clutch feature by all means do so ...but i wouldnt make it a mandatory feature...it seems in the forums that drifting is a big big part of this game...so i would definately look into the real drifting world for some ideas on some much needed new cars...i can list a few:

toyota ae86 levin

toyota chaser (theres a couple good years)

lexus gs300 (98-00 model) (toyota aristo)

older model skylines (please god)

nissan skyline r34 (four door)

infiniti g37

nissan laurel

nissan 180sx

i could go on and on but these are just some that i wish were on there...just go do research on d1 please...now am i sayin completely go drifting in this game...heavens no please proceed to have the lambos and such...by all means there always people that like regular forza...all im sayin is ur missing a lot of good quality cars in the game...ok lets get off this subject and get to the parts and such...bein able to choose ur exhaust would be amazin...to be able to get that huge 3-4 inch exhaust would be amazin and to be able to choose the angle that the exhaust hangs would be crazy awesome...to the rims...now i know ur aware that there are millions of rims out there and u could bring way better lookin rims in the game ...im not knockin the ones on this game but come on ...could be better...ok colors of the rims...ive noticed the white doesnt really look white...also would u please and i am beggin u please make it where u can have a different color lip...also the offset idea would be completely sweet...to the tires...this will be short a resent issue of the dsport magazine game me a really good idea...lately colored tired is becomein a huge thing in drifting...for the colored smoke...speakin of which more more more smoke...im not sayin u have to have it the color of the tired but i will give massive props if u can pull it off...also when u make ur adjustments in tunin it should show the car and the changes ur makin to it...now to the body kits...OMG...have u actually seen some of the bodykits uve put on this game...i wouldnt put this crap on a station wagon to make it look better...now i admit some of them are ok but come on...i say bring all the origin bodykits...i mean u can only get it on the s13...they did make it for other cars u know...s14 s15 fc fd skyline...this list is almost endless...now there are other brands i highly suggest...this is when i bring in the wide body...im sure u can ask anybody and they will agree...this would be awesome...dont be like need for speed and make onely one kit per car...just a simple fender flare would be nice...which brings me to carbon fiber...bein able to choose if the parts are painted fiberglass or carbon fiber would be sweet...and something i almost forgot...and i cant stress this enough...more wings...more wings...more wings...and anothere lil and i mean lil idea that would earn mad props is custom side mirrors...custom fenders would be nice too...ill even throw this in for the people that like them...roof scoops...and maybe just maybe a nitrous feature...although i am not a nitrous fan...im not too worried about paintjobs cuz people love to see what they r capable of in the paint shop but more shapes would probably help...this is all i can think off right now for the cars...but i cant forget about the tracks...more more more and more tracks...i even know something that will put yall at the top of the map for all racing games...create a track...let people make their own tracks...their own angles for turns...the works...now i know this all may cost a lot of money ...but after reading all this and imagining the future of a game like this do u honestly think it wouldnt make ur money bak to pay for it and thensome...hell u dont even have to make all this i suggest makin the basics and then sellin mega car packages on xbox live...im not sayin over price it though...have it where u can choose the cars in the package...or something....well i think i said enough i know ur probably like will this post ever end...but the last thing i can say...whether u listen to my post or not...please listen to the other people in these forums...because they r ur customers...they know what they want i suggest give it to them that way we all can profit off of it

 

ps one more think i hate to bring it up but for some dumb reason i see it comin into driftin sometime in the near future...single cab small pickups...y u may ask...a light bodied truck with the torque capability is (as much as i hate to admit it) will make the ultimate drifter

First thing I agree with a lot of these ideas, I don't know if you know but you can have A.I online but only in exhibition mode.

I think the paint locking idea would work but you would need something similar to protect the tuners, I don't think the tune should be locked completley as they need to be tweaked to fit peoples driving style but they could be locked from being sold on, Or even when the original tuner locks the tune it could be marked in some way to say it has been bought tuned, This would prevent people copying and selling on.

I also think there should be more choice in the endurance races and custom races, Theres Exhibition Mode but it doesn't have all the tracks and all races are a set number of laps, Free Run you can race as many laps as you like but tire wear/damage are off so it's different to race conditions. I think there should be a custom race mode where you could set up any race how you want to.

Ummm... why not just ask the artist, creating a tag yiu can'don't wanna, to teak it to your satisfaction? Most artists will make changes after the first job (on the sme tag) for very little or nothing.

Locked tunes? Come on man... rely on people having integrity.. some don, and when word gets out a design/tune is stolen.. peole are quick to black list the thief. Much like you'd like tp tweak a custom tag, I like fine tuning tunes tho beter suit my driving style.

I agree with penalty though, and try VERY hard to play clean (but whn the first corner is tight.. paint  is bound to be traded to be as clean as poss. I've driven againast drivers who, after realizing that it didn't matter they were driving a McLaren F1GT, they just culdn't drive. And when they got tired of being beaten by skill, guy's new tactic was take me out at the start...wait til I caught up, and take me out again. No accident either.. everytime I got close after that, he swerved into me. He's the kinda guy that buy all his Uber L337 gear on MMOs, rather than working at it. So yeah.. a penalty rating should be put into effect. And at races end, the deductions posted for all to see.

Car detailing. I' like to see some detailing for the luxury vehicles (Bentley and Caddy). Slight variations. Deco, Nouveau.. industrial.. silver or chrome, or gold grills and rims. Think it'd be cool to create some luxury cars that LOOK like luxury cars.

I don't think bought tunes should be completly locked,Just that they shouldn't be allowed to be sold on. But like you say most people are genuine and don't stoop that low.

I strongly agree with the penalties though, There are always people who can't take losing fairly and clip you every time you break for a corner-It's ruined many races for me as even if you catch up and beat the cheat if there are any decent drivers in the race your left behind.

I also think there should be trueskill penalties if you quit the race (like Halo 3) I've never quit myself but often find myself racing alone after 2-3 laps of a 10 lap race because people have given up. I have a lot more respect for those who actually finish the race regardless of position-I raced a guy the other day who was 12 seconds behind but kept going-I badly damaged my gearbox and he came back to win by .200.-It just shows anything can happen if you race to the end.
