Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

Another thing is the actual look of the exhaust gas.  I have a turboed Nissan 240SX with an SR20DET and when I hit full throttle its not some clear exhaust.  Since I run a lil rich to compensate I got an exhaust gast with a lil more carbon so its not slear and unseeable.  Anyone who runs without a cat or runs similair to me knows what I'm talking about.  Why not include that?

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

yep...totally agree with all of you...its like fully customising a car, but keeping stock exhausts on it...so pointless!!!!!! haha...but ye...i want to be able to customise exhausts!!!

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

agree with everybody. i can be made fun of all you want but im a huge import fan and i love the look of big exhaust "cans" being cocked a little up and sideways a little bit. it would be nice if you could choose a selection of exhaust mufflers or atleast tips and it would be nice if you were able to set up the angle of the exhaust for a more of a custom look.

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

Like most other people.. I also agree that the exhausts needed a lot more work. Or at least some sort of update for the game. They need to add something new for the exhausts. Other games like saint's row etc. get awsome updates.

Everyone that likes cars knows that the sound that the exhaust makes is one of the most enjoyable parts about a car.

Customisation is nothing with the sound and looks of an exhaust. Yeah the bodykits and everything else are really good other than not many spoilers. There's plenty of wheels aswel, but.. where's my new exhaust? I have fitted a new performance exhaust on my car and it looks and sounds no different.

I have to say it's a HUGE dissapointment that there were not multiple choices of exhausts I could buy. I was really looking forward to doing this after I bought this game.

*Can someone please tell me if they know anything about exhausts updates or anything? Much appreciated!*

    Re: Exhaust looks

I beg to differ in the regards that this is just a race simulator and not a customization simulator as well.  If you watched the TV program, it was all about adding mods to the car to make it better, as well as fine tuning the car.

I hope to God, they add more manufacturer mods to the game, anything from aero kits, wheels, suspension, "exhaust looks" and sounds.  All of this imerses the person in the game that much more.  The sounds, looks, and the acomplishment of putting something together that looks, and sounds great.

More wheel mods would be nice, and the ability to leave the lips either polished or chrome and paint just the center portion instead of the entire bloody wheel.

    Re: Exhaust looks

i agree with everyone. Please add new exhausts to the game. Also, can we get some more wheels? and some good ones? of all the wheels that are in game, nice looking ones are like 10. Everyone knows C-West bodykit for Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, why not to include it? buying this game i was hoping to see it, and it wasn't there!

Please, TURN 10 and MICROSOFT don't ignore us!

We spend time talking and asking and evrything to take your attention, so many people want custom exhausts and YOU just ignore us!

Please, at least tell us now that you will or will not add new exhaust looks ot at least consider it, so people won't waste time checking here every day to see for answers from TURN 10 or MICROSOFT.

or if someone from TURN 10 or MICROSOFT already told there will be no custom exhaust, could someone please give me link here, or message me? thx.

    Re: Exhaust looks

I perfectly agree with all of you, as you get choiche of rims (wich however could be upgraded), it vould be cool if we could get a choiche of engine parts brands, and widebodies too....is this a serious sumulator or what?

I had great expectations of FM2 and despite the degree of customization it could have been mutch better!!!!!

the RX-7 looks so silly with its stock pipes sticking out and since the tuner cars (like the INGS+1 rx7) have them I dont see how turn 10 just let it slip

Thats what the NFS series is for. It's a racing sim, where they allow you to customize your car a bit. It's not ABOUT customizing your car. I've done replica paintjobs, but I think that's a bit more understandable than wanting a huge exhaust. Do you ever look at your exhaust in a race and complain? If you do, chances are you SHOULD be playing NFS.

    And, P.S.
You lose a lot of back pressure with those huge ass exhausts.
Please tell me that was sarcasm.  Back pressure has so little to do with exhaust that it is laughable when people make this comment.  Yes if you put diesel exhaust on a 4 cyl engine you will lose low end power and your top end will suffer also, but if anybody is that ignorant then they deserve the consequences.  Increasing the size of your exhaust (with in reason) will only help your performance.  I mean hell, I gained close to 25 horsepower and over 30 lb/ft just by switch my stock 2.0" exhaust to 3".

Thank God this is not a tech forum because there's so much mis-information about cars going on in here that I feel I am getting dumber by the minute.

But if i put a 3" exhaust on a 1l engine it will probably hamper the engine performance. Exhausts are hugely engine and tune specific. Running bigger exhaust will change you back pressure which CAN hamper performance but not in all cases.

you missed the point, if you increase the exhaust size !!!WITHIN REASON!!!AS IN NOT GOING TOO BIG!!! taking in to account engine size and how many RPMs you are gonna be turning, and in TURBO APPLICATIONS NO BACK PRESSURE = POWER

and besides the guy that upgraded 2" to 3" was probably running at very least a 3.5 liter and/or turbo

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

they (turn 10) should also include exaust tips since you can to a body kit why not complete it with exaust tips to get that (sound)

theres 3 types of racers theres the
    clean
    the fair
    and the dirty
i am the clean not sure about you

    Re: Exhaust looks

I 100% agree with adding more body kits.  It's a sim, which is something that's supposed to give you a taste of what real life racing's about, so why not give us different body kits?

I 100% DISAGREE with exhaust looks.  People, this isn't NFS.  NFS sucks now.  Want exhaust looks?  Buy the old ones.  Want a racing sim?  Forza 2....and soon 3......

Come on, pipes are not rice when there real and not wallmart 12 buck tips. No one, and I mean NO ONE is going to be running a 900+HP beast with a stock pipe.
