Also, as far as categories, maybe you could add a Battle Tested subsection as far as drift tunes.

How exactly would you like to see that implemented?  Right now I have the facilities to store what kind of tune it is.  I think you're talking about adding some kind of yes/no field to the tune so people can searched based on that?  If so, what would be the criteria for "battle tested"?  Are there other attributes thta you would like to see wired up for drift tunes?

Thats exactly it. You could do a yes/no field titled Battle Tested in the drift subsection, and one titled Race Tested in the race subsection. As far as criteria, the car would have to have been in a battle/race against its peer cars and have come out the winner. Also, another drift tune category could be whether or not the tune is recommended for beginner or advanced drifters.

I'm not doing your busy work.  Check your PM's Wink [;)].

For those of you who haven't guessed, I'm just about ready to release the tools that let people manage their own shop rosters and bios.  A lot of the garage heads have been in on the beta testing of these tools and I'm pretty sure they're ready to go.

For now I'm going to reserve the ability to create brand new garages as I want to do a little quality assurance and make sure the right people are registering the right garage names.  I really don't want to deal with the debacle of people registering other garages that they don't actually own...

Also, I got a new computer this week and was able to photoshop on it (I have restrictions on what I can do with other machines) which means I was able to come up with a preliminary logo.  I went ahead and tossed it up on the masthead of the live site and as well as attached it to my sig.  If anyone wanted to put the logo in their sig as a show of support, I wouldn't complain.... Wink [;)]

Also, also, I reworked the initial post a little bit to be more cohesive and provide a better at-a-glance look for newcomers to the project.

As always, if you guys have any questions/comments/concerns, feel free to let me know!

I have the "Add Tune" utility up as a wireframe on the beta section of the site.  If you're a beta tester I've tapped before, check your PM's.  If you're a shop manager and I HAVEN'T tapped you as a beta tester, drop me a PM.

Did you use the same name to register as you have for a forum account here?  I'll take peek and get you wired up.

It's on the way.  Right now I'm beta testing the form that will allow garages to list their tunes on the site.  After that it's pretty easy to let people search for them.

Sooooooooo....   I had a bunch of decent paying side gigs and a mandate to acquire WSSv3 competency that kind of cut in to my personal project time.

I'm going to continue picking at ForzaTunes.com in my very, very limited free time.  In the mean time, I'm more than happy to share the database assets that I've come up with so far.  If you're a .NET guy, I can show you how I integrated the default SqlMembershipProvider with the custom team concept too.
