How do I go about getting a yellow/green one? Me really likey!

Glad to hear you like it, Drizze!  Big Smile [:D]

So the lime ones are special LEs meant to be raffle prizes.  More information on the raffle is available in the Tuning Marketplace thread here

Basically, to get raffle tickets, all you need to do is take photos of you running the speed tune (with gunmetal rims) on various tracks in an online lobby.  You get one raffle ticket for each track that you run the speed tune on using your photo as proof, and each person is able to get a max of 5 tickets.  3 winners will be selected randomly to receive these lime LEs.  In addition, we will be voting on the best photo, the winner of which will receive a custom LE, where they can decide exactly which colors they want.

I must admit that it's a bit complicated, but my rationale is that I wanted to give some incentive to people who don't usually drive speed tunes (such as myself) in the hopes that they will give it a shot.  Plus, I made the requirement that the photos be taken in an online lobby because I figured the best way to practice driving these beasts is to drive them online.

Re: [Super Taikyu] 2008 H.I.S. Fairlady Z Replica - *FINISHED*

I have to admit that I will have to practice a little bit before launching the speed tune into an online room :P

The problem is that I know that the car is going to rip my head off when I'm racing it, but I don't know exactly when... :D

Very nice work on those anyway they're looking damn good :)

    Cheers

Nice pics Macrom!  I see that you drove the speed tune on Maple Valley.  It must have been difficult to keep that beast on the track!!  Stick out tongue [:P]  If you want some tips from a beginner such as myself, use TCS and keep the car in 3rd gear in the corners until you get a better feel for when you can get on the throttle.

Thanks, glad you like it!  Smile [:)]  I think something similar might look good on both of those cars.  If you ever try it, keep me informed.  I'd love to see how they turned out.

I bought one of AWD versions and I'm very impressed.  Took my R34 out of the lead for my Mugello Short track car.  Too afraid to try the RWD.  Fingers are too twitchy for those power house RWDs.

Very nice!  I can't take credit for the tune, so you'll have to compliment Sneaky for that.  Stick out tongue [:P]  But I'm certainly happy that you are enjoying the car.

I also have trouble controlling these beastly RWDs, but I found that this one is easier to control than speed tunes I have driven in the past... easier to control in the sense that it can be run without TCS.

Yeah I saw after I made the post that it should've gone into the tuning market thread.  But I also should've commented on the great paint job too.  Excellent work!

I forgot to post this here, but there is a new thread for auctioning of the LE color schemes I showed here.  They will be sold using a silent auction.  Please read this thread in the Tuning Marketplace for more details.  I hope to see some bids because I think the more bids submitted, the more interesting the auction will be.

By the way, here are the final LE color schemes.

Re: [Super Taikyu] 2008 H.I.S. Fairlady Z Replica - in AH!

Okay, here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the silent auction process to help explain how it works.  Again, for more details, please visit this thread.

Q:  How many LEs are there?
A:  There are 7 color schemes and 3 of each color scheme for a total of 21.  Plus, there is one custom color scheme, for a grand total of 22.

Q:  How many LEs can I bid on?
A:  You are allowed to place bids on up to two different LEs via PM.

Q:  How many LEs can I win?
A:  You are allowed to win up to two different LEs.

Q:  How many times can I change my bid?
A:  You can place a new bid via PM everytime I post an update of the standings of the highest bidders for each LE color scheme.

Q:  How often will you update these standings?
A:  The standings will be updated at least daily.

Q:  Where in the standings do I have to place to qualify for an LE when the auction ends?
A:  You have to place in the top 3 to win the LE, and this applies for each LE color scheme available.

Q:  When does the silent auction end?
    A:  The auction ends on Saturday, May 17th, 2008 @ 12AM EST (5 GMT).

Q:  If I bid a lot more than the person in 2nd or 3rd, can I pay less?
A:  You pay what you bid.  Strategy is key.

There are two tunes available, and both tunes are in the AH right now.  A-class, 500k buyout, unfeatured.  If there aren't any there when you look, post here, and someone will put some up when I get home.
