I would agree. Only because of the light seats -- that's too feminine for me. I don't know if you're talking about the car as a whole or just this one, but this one is really elegant, to me.

I think a lowered, custom Bug with tasteful wheels is more manly than a lifted Excursion.

Was that a shot at me? We're dealing in particulars here, not the car as a whole -- at least I am. I'm going to tell you like I told someone else; I like Beetles a lot. I have the utmost respect for those little cars, but I'm talking about the particular car I posted - I'm talking about just one vehicle ... not custom drag Beetles or bad*** Baja Beetles... lol.

I, for one, like the lifted Excursion. I think it's bad***. But, just that one I posted -- not the model as a whole. When I think girlie; I think gorgeous lines (or more graceful lines) and elegance -- this doesn't necessarily apply to the Beetle. When I think manly; I think nasty, ugly and aggressive. I know a lot of women are into 4WD's, crawlers, dragsters and other custom vehicles -- like as us males -- but that's not the point ... not for me anyway.

    Touche...

But the vert' Bug that you posted was manly in my opinion, because of its stance and presence.

To each their own, I guess. ;) And just because I think a car looks girlie (feminine) doesn't mean it sucks or it's pathetic -- that's why there is a tacky option. :P

    Re: manly vs girlie

First off, for a car to be considered manly, it has to have what I like to call, "balls".

Example:  White pontiac in the sig.

    Or, It can float. (V-DUB!)

Or it can just be classic---

    '40 Ford Coupe Deluxe.

    OR a van...

    Renault Espace F1

    Chevy Astro van

Girly: Miata, Solara, New Beetle, Scions.  Convertibles in general.  Hyundais, "crossovers",

    Tacky: 36" wheels.

There's a Pilsbury dough boy themed Crown Victoria cruising my town with 26"s. It even has an 8" doughboy figure on the hood......

455 cubic inches, 12 MPG, I'm just fine with that.

Oh, crossovers are girlie now?? jk. I have a crossover and love it to death. :D

    Re: manly vs girlie

Don't get me wrong, some crossovers are okay.

Like the Dodge Journey. I want one.....

    Grand Caravan -GAY + 'Roids=Journey.

    But

B9 Tribeca, and what is it called... Hyundai Veracruz? those are FAIL.

    Those aren't too bad looking.

I personally like the Ford Flex. I'm not sure what it is classified as, but it's still pretty cool.

    Re: manly vs girlie

IMO the mustang is neutral. You put a mild kit on it, maybe a "ballsy" exhaust and you got a man's mustang!

I really hope you don't consider the Saleen S281 or the Shelby GT500kr girly cars, I'd have to ridiculously punish you.

The R32 does have balls, it just looks girly I think. As for the 1-Series, I think 135i or go home.

I thought it was a Toyota MR-S modified with some kind of Celica body kit. It looks kind of small to be a Celica, but may just be the perspective.

    Good call ^

Now that I think about it I've never seen a convertible celica before and the hood(as well as convertible aspect) both have appeared on an MR-S before. Well played sir
