Everyone wants to be updated on whats going on, but name- calling isn't going to make it happen any faster. Most mods don't work for Turn 10 and don't have the access and power that most people assume they have.

I'm trying to determine if his reply was sarcastic or an insult.  I think the pit pass report on Friday is a pretty solid update as far as what their intentions are.  Keep in mind the majority of the work they performed on Friday was to prepare that PPR.

Penguin was being sarcastic. Trust me I am in his team and he is always sarcastic. Don't take what he said personally Solo, Penguin is just being Penguin.

Penguin is persistent as he feels if nothing is done and quickly it will spiral out of control like the AWD Glitch. I am glad he keeps asking for an update as this form of cheating can destroy the Forza 2 leaderboards. I know if this gets out of control and Turn 10 does nothing about it. I won't be playing this game again.

The only way i enjoy it is by trying to top the leaderboards. Thats the fun for me. I will be lucky to get decent competition in an online race maybe 1 in 50 racers. Thats why I enjoy hotlapping.

And thats why Turn 10 needs to do something about these cheating little immature kids and do it quick. Or a lot of racers who are just like me will leave and never come back.

Four weeks and two complaints.... the no.1 time on Career mode is a cheat/glitch/bug.

 

Can somebody for the love of god remove that time? It's 30 hours quicker than is possible.

I have a short attention sp.....

Basically, the good people out here, dont want to endure what we had to with the AWD glitch.  It went on far too long, got out of hand, and the only thing Turn 10 could do was an entire Scoreboard Wipe.

They know this time around, that if they choose that route again, they will no longer have a community, they may have to take their time, but if the list becomes to long, they will be forced to do something we dont want to see.

Its sad that we have to deal with delinquints on Live, especially on Forza, but its only gonna get worse from here.

I was just being sarcastic.  I didn't like solo's condescending post so I followed up with one of my own just to explain where I was coming from.  In the scheme of things it's no big deal.  Solo doesn't like me and I don't like him, but my intentions here aren't to have a go at him.  I just want to see the cheaters wiped off the boards so I'm sorry if I sent this thread off in a slightly different direction. 

And to the guy who said all my posts from here on our are null and void... don't blow things out of proportion.  My opinion stands with the rest of you that this situation has the potential to go in the same direction it did in the summer if a strong message isn't sent out early on.   I know the guys at Turn 10 are working hard though so I'll try to be more patient.  I mean in hindsight all I did was ask if there was an update... but whatever.  People are getting touchy I guess.  To be honest I completely forgot to check the Pitpass Report this week so I will check that out now.  Thanks for the support Greek.

Why.. dont you simply delete all their times. They have cheated, get catched
and now they will get the bill. To delete one time is a joke... to delete
all there times is a sign... to ban them for doing this all the time again
(remember AWD glitch) is even fair.

My point was asking for an update about 24 hours after you got an update and on a weekend no less is rude and inconsiderate.  Additionally turn 10 had a swift response to the first report of slam drafting by wiping the scoreboard of the first reported slam drafter.  One would stand to reason that sometime on Monday these additional reports will be addressed.

And actually Penguin I don't believe I've ever had a conversation with you so I'm not sure why I should like or dislike you, but it's nice to know someone I've never really talked to doesn't like me.  I may have moderated a couple of your posts and asked you to cool down a little bit, but that was nothing personal so I'm not sure what you're talking about.  I've had to moderate GeorgiaDawg numerous times and I get along quite well with him.

In any sort of an on-line community I'm sure this is typical but since the outset the disrespectful, unhappy mmembers have been much more vocal than the constructively critical members of the board.  Less than 48 hours after being so excited and thankful that the first reported griefer got his scoreboard wiped you're asking for an update and on a weekend again about 24 hours after you GOT an update.  How is that not going to be seen as a slap in the face by those involved in correcting this issue?  Yes all you did was ask for an update, but as someone involved in the process I couldn't believe someone was asking so soon and on a weekend no less.  Turn 10 stated their intentions in the Pit Pass Report.  Perhaps you didn't read it and in that case your question makes more sense, but otherwise what do you honestly think changed between ~3am Saturday morning when the PPR went up and when you asked?

Well that is just it, I didn't read the Pitpass update.  It had completely slipped my mind, so when I asked for the update it was because I hadn't really heard much from you all since that one guy got wiped, and I was curious to find out if there was a problem.  It was my mistake for forgetting to check the Pitpass, it hadn't been posted for a couple of weeks and I just forgot to check out that area of the site.  I come directly the the forums via bookmark.  When I saw your condescending response I got a bit ruffled.  Doesn't take much I guess.    I'll edit that post now.

Your question makes a lot more sense then.  Given that my reply wasn't necessary either, but I need to swap out my old supply of patients for a new one.  Being polite when I so naturally like to argue and make someone look unintelligent is so hard :(

Yea I know what you mean, I fight that impulse all the time.    Well I think we've done a good job creating a diversion in this thread while we wait for whatever the next step is with the scoreboards.   You know what, I haven't even read the Pitpass yet, I think I'm gonna go do that now. 

On an aside I'm not sure why you all think JVE OGC guy is cheating on D-class Mugello.  Certainly some of his other times might not be legitimate, but have you actually taken the time to watch the replay?  His car is clean and he's only doing ~106 mph at the line.  Yeah it might be a drafted time, but it's definitely not a slam drafted time.  This is why I say don't jump on the wagon and name names.

If he has the number 1 time, I find it hard to believe that the time is not cheated. If he beat IPR Backone ABS and R2P KimiMatt who use a wheel and a superfast if the JVE OGTchi guy OGT or JVE Perturbator or whatever his name is the time is questionable as he hasn't got the skill to hang with those 2 thats for sure.

Another thing Solo can't he get introuble for multi tagging on the scoreboards aswell. I will check out the replay heck I will run against his ghost and I will let you all know if the time is cheated or drafted on purpose is cheating aswell. Just like in Forza 1. Instead of listening to yourself listen to us the hotlappers who live on the scoreboards on this game. We know when a time is cheated or not. Who can get what times. a JVE OGTchi guy will never be able to compete with the elites of this game without cheating. So any top times he has with a drafted symbol next to it and he is up the top or close has a 99% chance its cheated.

I talked to this JVE guy over XBL messages the other day.  He admitted to purposely drafting his times but told me that it was not cheating.  All that really needs to be known is that he was in the room with Silon when they were going around to Mugello Short... Suzuka East... D class... C class...  When looking at the cooincidental track selection... the sudden "great" drafted times at the top of the scoreboards... at some point one has to clearly see that this group's only intention in those sessions was to cheat and grief the scoreboards.   His times were drafted intentionally, but not bumped.  The only way his time will get beat is with intentional draft.  He knows what he was trying to do and it will suck if he gets away with it.  I'm going to go race his ghosts later when I get on Live and I'll report back any new info.

Ageed on all points.  He's not doing the slam draft (guess that's the new word for it) stuff, but he is most certainly setting up positioned draft cars.  That is as much of a cheat as the slamming the car nonsense.  He's not even as fast as me on most tracks where he has ran legitly so him showing up considerably ahead of Backone and people like that isn't possible without cheating.  Also agree about the multitagging aspect.  Doing stuff like that just shows you have absolutely zero respect for anyone else and imo should be a wipeable offense too.
