So I promised to stick it on a Veyron and get a pic. Well I saw the Veyron yesterday, but was afraid I would be sniped for touching the car. I'll wait til it gets back to the dealer it came from and politely ask to do it. lol

I really have to see that shot! Big Smile [:D]

And Dewstain, maybe it's total darkness with a flash...maybe. Doesn't look right to me either.

E-Mail sent. I don't have my own car yet but I'm planning on getting one within the next year or so, might as well get some freebies while I can.

I wonder if my Dad would let me throw it on his car just for a photo shoot... hmm... nah, I'll just Photoshop it. Big Smile [:D]

Re: Fuel Your Fantasy! - License Plate Picture Thread!

My point exactly lotus exelI constantly go on about this and narcs the hell outa me, If they do things like this for fans then they have either gotta provide overseas for equal opportunities OR just dont even say anything or give any away,  SIMPLE !!!  Those U.S residents will be sniggering at us right now for sure and yeah I dont mind admitting this but im very gutted and envy them so much, I could do so much with some of these plates, My Uncle has a lovely Rally Prepared Subaru Impreza and a CBR Fireblade which I could put them on, even if its just for 5 mins to take some nice pics.

DEVASTATED but proves my point entirely.

P.S  We give them support, yet we dont get it returned somehow. they sell the game in the UK so they need to provide everyone with the same opportunities, I know its the shipping and so on but I say dont give any away, Its only fair !!! Then dont sell games in the UK, then we cant argue but its here so we can and have a very valid point too !!!

Hey Fred, Landin, or Che or Dan even,

i feel bad for the fans across the pond, is there a way they could order-them and pay for the S&H to get it to their house, or is there another reason that we are unaware of ? licensing or something.

if its just the $ of shipping them , i bet that some of the Forzites would be happy to pay for them , even though we get em for free.

im sure you could toss around an idea that could make everyone a bit happier in this regard. just a thought.

Landin, e-mail sent. Hope there's a couple left for me! If not, I always have the frame I made... Too bad when stuff gets real small in game it's fuzzy :(

Yep, got the Forza frame, on top of my Wisconsin license plate... Now, if I could put my spare time to GOOD use...

sphilli, that is another way to look at it, LOL ( sorry mates i tried Sad [:(])

S22 here is a car you may appreciate, its a rarity to be sure , not like a the Bugatti Veyron or anything , but its American MuscleCool [H]

in this picture you can see my car IRL in the upper left corner

after the owner came out , i asked politely if he minded, he was cool and obliged. now both of the cars are sporting the FORZA styleWink [;)]

just a little info on the car:

March 2007 – The first 2008 Shelby Ford GT-H Hertz convertible sells for $250,000 at Barrett-Jackson Auction.

With total production expected to number only 500 units exclusively for Hertz rental fleets, this special-edition Shelby GT-H Mustang convertible will give Hertz customers a truly exclusive driving experience.

The Shelby GT-H Mustang program was launched in 2006 to commemorate a plan by Carroll Shelby and The Hertz Corporation in 1966 to help put high-performance, special-edition Shelby Mustang coupes into the hands of racing enthusiast-minded rental customers. Ford supplied the new Mustangs with V-8 engines and automatic transmissions while Shelby added extra performance and style. Hertz gave the public access to a unique driving experience. Those Shelby GT-H Mustang coupes are being retired from the fleet, and are in the process of being auctioned off to Ford dealers. Some of the early GT-H coupes to reach auction have achieved impressively high prices – in the range of $60,000-$90,000 – which underscores the desirability of the Shelby GT-H program.

The program was so popular that Shelby, Ford and Hertz have again teamed up to create the first Shelby GT-H Mustang convertibles. The 500 cars will be built at Shelby Auto’s facility in Las Vegas for delivery to Hertz.

i feel luck to have had the opportunity to have even seen this car IRL let alone get some pics and to top it off GET THE PLATES ON IT !!!!!!!!!

Thats one for you Che, Landin and the group @TURN10

as soon as i can convince the wife she wont get hurt while filming the burnout for you guys, I will get that to you somehow, if no other way maybe youtube or myspace.

    on to the next victim

Re: Fuel Your Fantasy! - License Plate Picture Thread!

What you mean that crappy LE game that is exactly the same as the normal one, only its in a cheap metal box, Wow you guys are seriously peed about a TIN BOX, Im sure someone would donate you one of those if you asked around.

I just dont see why some people need to be clever about the whole thing,  It aint right and like I said if they want fans in other countries then its only fair to treat them exactly the same, if they cant ship then like I also said, They should NOT of made this public, and I sure wont be the only one annoyed by this, Its also really making me consider adding Forza 2 to my next trade list, Im bored with it anyway and that aint gonna change by the looks of things so why sit there getting dsuty when we Europeans are treated in this way when we buy their dam game, and probablies alot more money than it is over in the States, Dam I do hate that place, with a vengeance thanks to all those annoying little kids on Live. Ill say 2 words "  Jerry Springer " show explains it very clear to me, and yeah if yous wanna be clever I can get clever too.

Thanks to the guy above for trying to help us, This aint aimed at you dont worry !!!

Re: Fuel Your Fantasy! - License Plate Picture Thread!

It sucks that the US didn't get the LE, for the main sale countries, they should be treated equally, I would be more than happy to pay for the postage, as it probably wouldn't be that much, but we don't even have the opportunity to get one, yet again, since the majority of the fans are in the US, only the US will reap the rewards of promotions! it was the same with the anniversary, in GMT time, Race with the Devs was at 5am! its surely not fair since there are many dedicated FM2 fans that are in other countries on this forum

many of use would happily pay postage for the license plate holders

It's aimed at me isn't it? It wasn't the "tin box" that upset the US fan. It was the fact that it had 3 cars on the disc that (at the time we thought) we couldn't get. We we're acting just as childish as you are now about a plastic frame when Turn 10 told us the entire world except the US were to get a Collector's Edition game.

Besides, I'm sure they have good reasons not to ship it outside the US. It's not like they are doing it on purpose to leave out the rest of the world fans.

In no way am I saying you shouldn't get the plate frames. One thing that comes to mind though is... will they even fit over your license plates? Indifferent [:|]

Re: Fuel Your Fantasy! - License Plate Picture Thread!

    TURN 10,

just a thought for the next time ( FORZA3 ) if you are gonna have some kinda freebies / exclusives, be fair across the board in the game and in real life , at least allow the ones originally left out to somehow have a reasonable chance at getting the wanted items in some known time frame so everyone can enjoy what it is that you guys do.

You can reward the people who preorder etc with the LCEs , just make em available to everyone at some point maybe 3-6 mos. down the road , just make em part of the game challenge level rewards and / or cost a bunch of credits. just make em obtainable to everyone.

As far as the contest not allowing non-states residents to get prizes/freebies. :

Just explain WHY you cant , or list how much it would be for someone across the pond to aquire such an item if they were to win.

you could always ship it to someone in the states ( what are the Friends Request for anyhow ) and they could get it to their buddy overseas, im sure!!!!!! I know ive gotten stuff offline from across the pond via websites and that little place called EBAY.

you could also set up a "store" here on FM.net or hell even one on Ebay, pay-pal could take car of the rest. how about T-shirts , hats, etc, THINK merchandising and advertising.... maybe after you unlock certain levels you could trade in game credits AND cash to cover the shipping to get real world items. HERE and abroad.Big Smile [:D]

One last thing that would be cool for all who love this game, WHEN are we gonna be able to get REAL cash for our user created content like MR. BILL said was his vision one day, with the LIVE marketplace?????? Im not talking about being able to fund a retirement plan or anything but it would be neat if that were a possibility to maybe trade online via a pay-pal like system where one could buy/sell with real money OR in game credits, but somehow not allow the cheating part for the Credits.

if you guys really want some more great ideas that could be turned into reality and not just FUELING our FANTASIES simply set up my desk next to Freds.Cool [H] or am i too old to work with all you young dudes.

THINK about it .Wink [;)] Im more than half serious.

Re: Fuel Your Fantasy! - License Plate Picture Thread!

There is no defence for this no matter what anyone says, if they try they are just being silly, We are all equal and should be treat in this way, plus those extra cars whatever they were, I live in the UK and have played forza for about 5-6 hrs a day since release and guess what buddy, I dont even know what cars your talking about, It was basically just a farce to make money, then they go and release them for everyone, LoL

I aint being nasty to anyone but feel I need to speak up about this, Treat us BOTH equally,  Is there even any point in me going on coz they dont listen anyway, Oh yeah just another Brit having a moan, Think of it like this for your F1 fans over in the states, Codemasters brings out F1 08-09, Its awesome and they sell it worldwide, The next season comes along and instead of giving us a new game they give us a free DLC season, Except the U.S, thinking of those very few F1 fans over the pond, It would be world war all over again, or even codies were giving away F1 stuff.  I just think its common sense not to publicise it in these circumstances, its like the guy at the top says,  Way to kick us in the nuts T10 !!!   Cheers !!!
