Here is our schedule for 2008.  Dates are subject to change so always check the "upcoming events" side bar on TakataTimeAttack.com for the latest.  We will also be making some appearances at St. Louis Region SCCA Solo (Autocross) events since St. Louis is my hometown.

He's not coming back this year is he.

Time Attack events have 3 primary divisions, Unlimited, Modified/Limited, and Street.  Nob and the HKS Hypermax Evo compete in the Unlimited category.  The Takata Impreza will continue to compete in the Modified/Limited catgeory, so we won't be going head to head regardless.  I saw the Hypermax Evo at the Super Lap Battle Finale last year and it is an incredible machine.  There is nothing else like it.

I understand that Time Attack is quite popular in the UK.  Maybe someday we will get an invite to Europe!

If you ever do, make sure you go to Donington. It's easily the best British track, and also the closest to me.  I watched the UK Time Attack series there last year. If that's anything to go by, your car must be pretty special. What's your Impreza like? Have you done much to the engine, (and if so how much power is  it putting out) or did you go for cornering ability over speed, or both.

My Impreza was originally built with an emphasis on the chassis and cornering ability.  I have maintained this philosophy for the last 5 years.  For years I have been keeping up with cars with much higher power thanks to my well sorted chassis.  This year the power will finally catch up to the chassis, as we are replacing the stock turbocharger with a large aftermarket turbo and a larger intercooler.  We will have a full disclosure on the car's equipment when the build is complete.  Stay tuned.

At the end of the day, a game is a game, so play it and have a laugh, rather then pulling out your hair out at the guy who's doing something wrong. If they fall, pick 'em up! Taking something too seriously takes away the fun, which ruins the game. ;)

I saw the addition of the new bumper and I am wondering why you chose this bumper in the first place.
I have been talking to a friend who owns an 2003 or 2004 Impreza (Don't pin me here) and he works for Subaru. He told me that the 2005 styled bumper is heavier and a bit less aerodynamic but it allows more air to flow to the engine freely.

Is this a choice you made because you refurbished the engine or did the rules change?

(I personally prefer the 2005 version of the Impreza because it looks different, although the new WRX STi is a REAL beauty aswell!)

I'll be making an update to this thread early next week that details why we are making the change and reveals some other BIG news related to it.  Not trying to kill you all with suspense... I'm just waiting for a few things to fall in place first.  :)
