You're absolutely right.  I will need to check with Tank on this, but I believe you should install the Street Fuel System instead of Sport.  I'll get back to ya.

The Carlton is a good tune. I ran about 5 laps at Silverstone GP and got a 1.54.xxx. With a little tweaking it should get lower. I still dont like the Viper Coupe.

Ice Man >> I checked with Tank, and it turns out that I was right to add the Street Fuel System instead of Sport.  The tune has also been revised very slightly.  Both changes are reflected in the updated build / tune sheet.  Hope this helps. 

 

Jimnran >> I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the Comp Coupe.  I double-checked the tune with Tank just to be sure I recorded the tune correctly, and the tune was indeed correct.  Keep in mind that the car does require more skill to drive than most RWD cars considering the fact that there is no downforce.  Nonetheless, thanks for the feedback, and I'm happy to hear that your experience with the Comp Coupe is not keeping you from trying some of the other tunes.

Dont get me wrong, I love the paint. I bought the red one and it is great. I adjusted the tune some last night and it didnt help much, so it is more car is crap then tune. Tanks tune did better for me on Suzuka then the other 2. I feels like it is designed to be driven like a missle. I will keep plugging at it while I look for my camera.

 

I like the cars that he has tunes for, not many are used and I like that.

Ok so far I have built the Carlton, the 997 and the BMW 3.0. They ALL are very good tunes. I beat my R3 430GT on one of the career races by half a second wth the 997, I was with in a few seconds of my Elise time on one of the British career races. I still do not like the Viper but I now know it is not because of Tank's tune. One thing though, the BMW build is a little off. It will be around 705 if built to specs. I lowered the tire brand and added the other model rim. Same brand, different model. Keep up the work tank, they are great!!!

It seems like there is mistake with the build sheet for the CSL.  I will investigate and get back to ya.

Just got done building the 911 T 3.3 and the 04 WRX.

The 911 is very easy to drive and will do good on a more open track. Does take some throttle control to keep it steady coming out of some corners, but usually a very stable car. I ran it on Sunset Short even though it is more of a grip tune.

The WRX seemed to have alot of understeer compared to what I usually run. I ran a few laps at Laguna Seca and by the 6-7th lap I was use to it and was running good lap times (1.26's).

 

I am guessing these tunes are not meant to be top 100 times and are meant to be a good online tune.  Just like any tune on any car, what works for some will not work for others but these should give the average driver (me) a good time online. I am very ipressed so far and look forward to other tunes from Tank.

^^Yes, exactly!  Tank tunes his cars for consistency online. 

Seriously, thanks for posting such great feedback.  It is much appreciated!  And seeing how you've been the only one to post times for the hotlapping contest, you're going to get a pretty sizeable reward for trying these tunes out!

I built the supra last night and what a dream. I took it to Maple Valley just to see how the grip tune would work there. WOW. I dont remember my exact time, but I remember it was somewhere a low 1:30 or high 29's. I know that is not the fastest car on the track but it is still a Supra! I didnt know this thing could grip so well.

Im looking for paint for some of these cars, so if any of you are looking to sell some let me know.

I primarily drive awd's so this has been really good practice for throttle control for me.. It's a fun car to drive and I have plenty of room to improve on those times, especially road atlanta as I am absolutely terrible at that track.

Okay, I think I know what went wrong.  There are two different tire width options that give you 235 in the front.  The 2nd to last one is the one that you want with 245 in the rear.  The other one has 255 in the rear.  If you choose the right tire width, then the build should be B700.  Hope this helps!
