    GeorgiaDawg72:

As some will remember, I was fairly bitter about the wipes as well.  But once the realization hit me that I was going to beat all the times I had posted before anyways, then it sort of took the sting out of it.  Even if something creeped up today that forced another wipe of the boards, it'd be annoying, but I'm still going to beat every time I have posted now many times over until FM3 comes out.

Being as you are here, awake, detail oriented, and crazy (lol)...have you noticed any times on this site for individual tracks that your prewipe times are showing up?

You've probably gotten faster on everything everywhere, so you might not be the best person to ask...but I'd swear I'm seeing PREwipe times of mine on the site scoreboards. Back then I had an occassional "spiritual possession by a much better driver" moment pre wipe that I still can't catch, even with "better" skills and faster cars...but those times should only still exist on my local view. I created a seperate topic assuming everyone in this topic might be busy posting instead of reading, but no luck so far. If we still have individual track prewipe times on the site scoreboards....we have a problem.

I'm doing the "I'm retired and I'll stay up all night and then have beer and pizza for breakfast if I want to, damn-it!" routine, so I might (um...probably am?) be confused...lol.

Ah! I see the filter is in use at this site! But i was looking t the game first.

Will the filter be usable on xbox live? I never look at scoreboards here anyway.

Re: New Scoreboard Filter is Up

The filter is great for the most part. I don't need to filter out anything that would make me #1 on every Scoreboard.

Here is the bad part IMO

When you set the filter, it should stay set when you change Class or tracks. We could reset the Filter back ourselves.

Drafting should not be under Assists. There's no way to filter out drafting separately and still include any or no assits. Make Drafting a separate Filter just like the Date has a Separate filter.

I want to filter out drafting only scores from the Speedway and the only way you can do it is to Filter out Multiplayer. but there are non-drafted scores in Multiplayer. lol  Then there are a few drafted times in Exhibition in U Class, that I can't figure out how on the the 2nd lap, the GT40 was able to catch up and get a little drafting.

The Assists Filter should work opposite to what is programed. You should be able to click on what assits you want to see on the Scoreboard. This way you could click on each assist and leave off Drafting.

I used the Date Filter to filter out any AT AWD Glitches that were not reset before the AWD Fix. There are still AT AWD Glitched times on the Leaderboards because only the top 500 AT times were wiped.

    Good work Turn 10.

There are five assists shown. TCS,ABS,STM,AT and Drafting, I was able to select any # of them from 1 to 5, of course picking all 5 would be the same as no asists. You should be able to set up the filters any way you want.

Re: New Scoreboard Filter is Up

when i go on the scoreboard i cannot see any option to set filters. I take it this is because i do not have a time in the top 1000?

    am i right?

I had the same problem at first too. The filter only works after you have selected the class and track you want to filter. For ex. pick A-class, Real World, Mazda Laguna Seca, get results. Then you will see customize results pop up.

I'm a little fuzzy on what your responce is.  I would like to show everything but drafting.

You cannot show all the combinations of assists or NO-Assits and eliminate "Drafting" only

Cheers it works. I only wish that it would show higher ranks then the top 1000, because i do not use leaderboard cars, so do not really have much hope of getting into the top 1000 with my driving ability

Which again would make the filter cool as hell.

I do appreciate Turn 10 trying, but.....Implementation = fail.  Basically this filter is useless to everyone except the top 1000....which is a pretty small group when you take into account how many people play this game.

If you want to filter out just drafting, check the other four boxes,STM,ABS,TCS, AT. You can check any combo of the five. Had to edit, when you check a box you are including that in search criteria, I had thought previously that you were excluding.

like people have previously mentioned, the scoreboard filter sucks for non leader board cars that are NOT in the top 1000... guess I will never find out if i am the best with X car that hardly anyone uses because it's "slow"

bummer, i was hoping for more.

Yeah the whole point of the filter was supposed to be the ablility to see how you ranked with non-scoreboard cars. But unforunately they used xbox live, which only allows up to 1,000 times to be posted for some reason. They are looking to integrate their own scoreboard into Forza 3, so everything should be much better next time around.

As it stands now, it's basically just good for filtering the assists, dates, etc. of scoreboard cars.

Re: New Scoreboard Filter is Up

yes, cross your fingers, in Forza 3 you should be posting top times for each car you run then be able to filter your results and see how fast car X is compared to other people running it.  Then you should also be able to filter those results by HP, assists, weight,  hopefully

GD, from seeing your times on the boards, I have zero doubt in my mind that you indeed will just continue to get faster and faster...careful, you might get to that elite status soon Wink [;)]  Still love to actually get the chance to connect to a room with ya someday and run a few laps.

Oops, totally forgot I had posted in this thread.  How rude of me not to respond..lol.  But yea, I'm getting faster still and am now at the point where I know I can do it and am just as fast as the top guys, the key is minimizing little mistakes.  I'm usually good for 3 or 4 of them on a average lap, but lately I've ran some laps where I've kept the mistakes at bay for large parts of the lap, even getting to the final corner on pace for some #1's.  But alas, I know I'm on pace for a #1 going into that final corner and well, what happens in that final corner ain't pretty.Angry [:@]  But I figure that'll come with some more time and practice.

But, back on topic, the good news is I've been able to filter myself out a few #1's.Big Smile [:D]

Phantosas, no, I haven't noticed any times I have that were pre-wipe times.  But, I've beaten every time I had pre-wipe at this point so maybe I'm not the best to ask about that.

So the filters are only on live?  They could do so much more right here.

Re: New Scoreboard Filter is Up

Well I just went to check out the filtered scoreboard, I only have a few times set since the wipes.

I noted there are nearly 1.5 million times recorded by unique profiles.
Now notice that the scoreboards are now only filtered down to 1000 places.

Does it not seem to be in the least an absolute waste of resources for such a limited selection of users?

It's like keeping stats for everyone who ever played any college level up to pro since the inception of pro sports and keeping stats for people who made the top 1000 all time.  Seriously why bother.

.0006 percent of the userbase base really finds this usefull.   Well it may be as high as .006  depending on how many  people outside of the serious players have scored times in the top 1000.

I think they must have had some excess web development budget that they had to spend, and some poor sucker got stuck with  a create work project.  All I know is that if Forza3 has such a pathetic filter, and no car clubs, I'd rather pass on the game and try some other type of game, turn 10 is going to have to work much, much harder to get me to want to purchase this game.

Oh and fix the ^*&$^% brakes with the steering wheel.  (I'd like to have a one-sided conversation with the guy who programmed that part of the game.  Why use less than 1/4 total of the pedal travel - idiots!)
