Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Yesterday's auction went very well - thank you all for your support! All but three sold, and those will be held over for the next auction. If you didn't get one, my next auction will probably be this Friday, and will include my newest design, which is almost done, a replica of the Gotham Police Department cruisers from the new Batman movie: That one's almost finished - just need to finish up the badges - and then I'm going to start working on some of those State Police liveries that people have been requesting. Hopefully, by Friday's auction, I'll have at least one or two of those done, and I've still got a half-complete version of the Mount Prospect police trim made famous as the Bluesmobile, complete with age spots and rust. Sooner or later, I'm going to get around to finishing that one. Once again, thank you for all the support, folks - keep feeding this addiction of mine, and it may not end until I've recreated every real and fictional cop car in America. Oh, and anyone who has cop cars of their own, remember that I'm a collector as well as a designer, and I love the work you guys have done. I just picked up a Border Patrol car, a Wharton, NJ, Fire Chief car, and that blue Gallardo Italian police car. Soon, this little side-business of mine might actually turn into a tuning house devoted specifically to police cars, so anyone with a really spot-on real-life design is welcome to contact me here or on XBL (GamerTag: Darque1137) to talk about this possibility, or just to sell me their designs. And always buckle up!

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Thanks for the interest, xshadowsxfallsx. I've got a few things I'm working on this week, but the South Carolina State Trooper badge does look like it would present a fun challenge - nothing else quite like that, is there? They put that design on quite a few vehicles, too, and... ... wait a minute, when did South Carolina's staties get a Viper?!? Lucky guys, unlucky speeders... Gotta remember that the next time I'm headed to Dillon. Tell you what, let me add it to my to-do list for this week, and we'll see where I'm at come auction time this Friday. I've been threatening to have a Charger done for every State Police in the country for a while now, and that design looks simple enough to translate well onto just about any car around - from what I can tell, SCSP puts it on Crown Vics, Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros, all the usual suspects. That's definitely the first SCSP Viper I've ever seen, though - kind of shocked me when I clicked the link. If I can get it done this week, I'll let you know either on here or XBL, xshadowsxfallx.

Holyspartan489:Making any more barricades?
I wasn't planning on doing so for a while - it seems that there's a lot out there - but if you want one, I can do that before the next auction. Send me a FR at Darque1137 and we can work it out.

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Unfortunately, I'm out of state right now with a family emergency. I won't go into details, but it's pretty grim around here, and I must admit that Forza got bumped down a notch on my priority list for the next few days. I should have things back up and humming soon. I will keep this thread posted with any details into upcoming auctions and/or new designs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Okay, I'm still out of state right now, so I'm not selling anything quite yet. Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience to all. All my designs are on hold, all my deals are on pause. Video gaming is on the back burner for a few days. However, I was, and I assume I still am, negotiating a few important deals. First, I'm reaching out to other cop-car designers. See, there's a lot of source material out there. Fifty states, plus territories, plus all those municipalities, townships, cities, counties - and that's not even including different departments, or different emergency services. (Fire-chief cars are cool, too.) And that's just in America. So I've begun the process of creating a group of people who design and sell police and emergency cars. Some have already been selling their police designs on the AH, and some are new. I already have on board one designer who will be working on (at first exclusively) Canadian cars. I also have offers on the table with some guys who do European and Japanese cars and, of course, more American cars. I've put up a prize for who can tune the best A-class Dodge Charger, just to see if anyone can do better than I can. (While it's nice to say that I do all the work, frankly, I just want the best Interceptor for my customers.) I think it's going to be called the Forza Motor Pool - a coalition of designers and tuners with the explicit purpose of bringing police and emergency vehicles to the Auction House. We will not be limited to America, nor we will be limited to modern cars. Our goal will be to get our cars out to auction in a regular fashion, with once- or perhaps twice-weekly auction batches. We will keep our prices low on our catalog designs, with open auctions for special models and special occasions. We will sell some unlocked versions of cars, like black-and-white bases with a light bar and the Interceptor tune, ready to be painted in your own police livery. Also, this way, if anything happens to me, say, like a medical emergency that forces me to be away from my XBox for a while, the auctions and designing will still go on. Once we're back up and running, I will try my best to fill all my orders in a timely fashion. Give me a few days.

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Absolutely. I don't want to have a set limit on too many people involved in this. To be entirely honest, I just think that there's so many people messing around with these cop cars, that maybe we can pool our resources to come up with a very professional corporation. The Charger tuning challenge is coming along nicely - there's a lot of interest here, because with all the Fairlady and Evo tunes out there, this might be the first real chance for people to tinker professionally with some old-fashioned all-American V8 RWD muscle. So in another couple of weeks, we should have at our disposal a standard A-class Charger Interceptor tune to use on all our cars. I've already been doing that, but I think those guys will be able to improve on my tune, and besides, it greatly increases public interest. I'm still out of state right now and my XBox is still offline. With all the drama around here, I haven't really gotten much of a chance to play with it too much in the last two days, but I think I'm headed home at some point tonight. I still have a couple of designs that I'm half-done with, including the Gotham PD and SCSP design. (They're going onto the Charger first, by the way, as that has become my standard-bearer for police cars.) But I really think that there's a great opportunity to form this group, the Forza Motor Pool. So let's do it. Anyone interested should contact me, preferably via Private Message here on FM.net. Include pictures of any current designs you have - the more realistic, the better. Try to get pictures of your own local police cars - you'd be surprised how much of a good sport cops can be when you say you want to reproduce their car in a video game - and do them as realistically as possible. State Police are great, but I also think there's plenty of room for local designs, emergency services, fire departments, EMTs - you name it, we'll do it. There will definitely be a bit of emphasis on the group here - we will share designs unlocked so that we have common access to things like light bars, grilles, license plates, black-and-white patterns, certain logos ("Emergency Response 911" and stuff like that), and other things that tend to repeat. Since I think we would do best keeping prices low, the volume will be impressive - if we play our cards right, the Charger itself will become the most mass-produced car on Forza, and without being spam! But that means profits will come in smaller increments. It will definitely be much more of a labor of love than a major money-making deal. Anyone who knows how to set up a free website for us with a simple forum so that we can share tips and keep each other up to date will be an invaluable asset. Nothing fancy, of course, just something so we can keep in touch and help each other out. Maybe some people will just do lightbars, and some will just do lettering, and some will just do badges. How profits are shared here, I'm not sure yet, but we'll make sure everybody involved gets some cha-ching in their pocket. For those who just happen to have just one or two designs and aren't interested in doing much more, maybe we'll buy the design and full rights to reproduce for a single lump sum. For those who want to make a career out of it and be in the club, maybe we'll just have some sort of profit-sharing or something. I don't know, I just don't want to be somebody's boss that hands out wages - I just want to make and collect cop cars. That's what it's all about. So I guess it's an open call now - if you want to join the Forza Motor Pool, get your cop car designs ready, and get ready to catch some bad guys. But remember, this isn't going to be one of those, "We're awesome because we've cornered the market so don't even try" kind of things. More like, "Hey, that's a cool design, you wanna join?" kind of things. Buckle up. Click it or ticket!

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
South Carolina Highway Patrol is on the road! That door badge turned out to be a challenge. Lots of feathers and leaves... They have nice plates in South Carolina: "Friendly Faces, Beautiful Places." And just because I couldn't help it and I wanted a new one, here's a shot of the new lightbar: xshadowsxfallx: Got the Viper done, too: Sweet!

Re: Cop cars, get your fresh hot cop cars!
Fixed the SCHP cars. One little: the rearview mirrors are supposed to be black. One huge: the badge's flying wing on the passenger-side door is supposed to be reversed! Pain in the rear. I tried to mirror-image it by copying from one side of a car to the other, but a bunch of the curvy pieces ended up going wrong. I ended up re-doing the entire wing in reverse to come up with a completely separate stamp for passenger-side badges. Lots of mildly inebriated late-night work in there, you know. So since you were the one that wanted this thing so bad, xshadowsxfallx, you get to pay for it on the Viper. That's probably not going to end up as one of my regular police vehicles, so I'll consider that a unique car just for you. If you would like, I can use the U-class tune that I used to beat and win the Hennessey in the Viper races, so it's nice and fast, too. Then we can come up with a suitably large number of zeroes to put together as a price for your custom, commissioned, one-of-a-kind South Carolina Highway Patrol Viper. Just let me know what plates you want on it - I used "HP 47" as mine, since 47 is my usual 2-digit number, and "HP" is South Carolina's code for their state police highway patrol plates. I can't, for the life of me, see any other number designation on these cars, though, so the numbers are entirely limited to the plates on the SCHP design. However, just for yours, xshadowxfallsx, I can make an exception and put whatever six-digit plate you want on it. Meanwhile, the Charger version will be added to my usual lineup. Since I have that Charger-tuning contest going on, it looks like I'll have a brand-new Interceptor package for my Chargers sometime in the next week or so, so I'm not going to sell any Chargers until that time - my own Charger Interceptor tune, I think, is officially retired. When they go back on sale after the contest, the first of each will probably be a featured, no-buyout auction, with a little something extra added to the design to differentiate it from the regular patrol cars. In the meantime, I'm probably going to sell a few Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes tonight, perhaps a Barricade or two for those that have been requesting it, and maybe I'll even then be able to afford a few more Chargers. I'll tentatively plan on getting a group of cars out to auction later tonight - nothing huge, maybe six or seven assorted cars. I'll post it here if and when I get it together. Oh, and on a completely unrelated note: thank you to all of you who offered support in a tough time. I know, it shouldn't seem like much, but to me, it does, so thank you.
