For certain. I'm hoping to finally pull it off about 5 minutes before the challenge is over

The best I could get with the Viper was 44.191 and it certainly has more in it, the problem is milking that extra time out of it. Very stubborn car IMO. Big time props to anyone who can run 43.9 or better in that thing.

i think bryce ran a 43.8 in the viper and yeah its a stubborn car as its easy to run 44.5's with it even been a little sloppy but its hard to get that perfect lap in it. if i was racing i would definately use the viper

Looks like alot of people are coming back over from PGR... but will it last?
Theres said to be some DLC coming out in the next month for PGR4 so this switch over may be temporary. It is interesting, however, and we will have to see how it developes.

Re: HLC Week XXII - Season Wk 4 R3 Suzuka East
Ok, I ran a 43.941 with a bad entrance into turn 1 and on the next lap I was .208 ahead of that time after the first split. That runs out to about 43.733 if I could keep up the pace from the previous lap, needless to say I butchered the last turn. I ran about 60 laps after that and couldn't even get to 43.899 so at this point I'm willing to share my setup to see if anyone can break into the 43.6xx range. I honestly believe this setup is capable of doing so but I don't think that I am. The frustation is mounting with each lap and I'll get just as must satisfaction knowing that someone was able to do it with my setup. As a matter of fact, I'll just post the settings here ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif) Good luck! #25 Supra Tires: 28F, 27R Gears: 5.30FD, 2.77, 1.56, 1.12, 0.84, 0.69, 0.60(not used) Camber: -1.1F, -.08R Toe: +0.3F, +0.1R Caster: 2.5 ARB: 34.78F, 40.00R Springs: 428.7F, 531.1R Damping rebound: 10.2F&R Damping Stiffness: 2.5F&R Aero: 198F, 461R Brakes: 50%B, 78%P Differential: 15%A, 30%D I've just been using 3rd and 4th gears, staying in 3rd until the straight. When braking, I try to imagine touching someone's hand without them feeling it (if that makes any sense lol)

Re: HLC Week XXII - Season Wk 4 R3 Suzuka East
Darn... I was hoping your setup would be VERY different, but It looks a LOT like 2 different tunes I've had my hands on already... which means it's not going to help me much... *sigh*...
Oh well, I guess I'm just going to have to keep praying for a 43.9, cause it doesnt look like I'm going to drive one!

Thanks for posting,
This is my first R3 tune job and I borrowed the basics from a certain Viper tune I received from a certain someone you may know lol. Vague enough? Also, looks can be deceiving so you may want to give it a go anyhow. Speaking of the Viper, I tried it again just a bit ago and ran a 37.958 with a bit of tweaking. I'll probably do a bit more tweaking over the next day or so. If you've driven a Viper, chances are it is the same tune I started with.

Re: HLC Week XXII - Season Wk 4 R3 Suzuka East
Hi there! I'm REALLY NEW to FM2, and this is actually my first post! Just wanted to say how great this HLC is! I participated on week 1, and now this one, and I'm having lots of fun, even though I can't get past the 200th, 300th place... I only wish the HLC was something a little more mainstream, maybe with a big link in the main page of this website or something... I'm sure a lot more of the "non-hardcore" ppl would like to participate... Maybe if points were credited to more ppl... Until the 100th, or the 150th...
Anyway, this week i managed to get a 44.9 with the #25 Supra using my own tuning setup, so I feel very happy about it, since I'm such a newbie and I use the controller and auto transmission! :) Later I'm gonna try out chickenfrydzombie's setup, and see what nice times I can get... Thanks for helping us noobs, zombie!

Re: HLC Week XXII - Season Wk 4 R3 Suzuka East
I am incredibly rusty right now. I haven't played anything in nearly three weeks, and I haven't played Forza much for about two months. I think I'll concentrate on other things until I get my mojo back.

hey guys, I need something explained to me...How is it that in Forza it seems to be that on most tracks it's quicker to use only 2 gears than to use a full 5 or 6 gears of a sequential racing gearbox..That just doesnt make sense, your acceleration would suffer badly and you would never accelerate fast enough to not lose huge amounts of time between corners.

Re: HLC Week XXII - Season Wk 4 R3 Suzuka East
He everybody,
I'm a member of Team Exile, we're new to the HLC for this season. I just thoughgt I'd say hello to everybody and say how much we are all enjoying these challenges.
I'm loving this weeks challenge, its so close and the smallest imporvement means you are likely to move up a lot. I'm not really used to using the R3 cars yet but they are so much better thn last weeks Charger. I hate the last corner with a passion, my best time so far is 44.390 but I know I can get that down to atleast a 43.9XX if I can just get that last corner right.
