anyone from turn 10 know whats happening with this????

Using a third party device has nothing to do with the problem. Only reloading from memory card gives you the tampered with file error.  Loading from memory card or loading a different save from when you last turned off the game will corrupt the file.  No nudie cars, no duped cars, no third parties will ruin your save.  Ive used third party devices and memory cards and those are the only ways it will corrupt the file. 

For the past day or so Xbox live has been having problems and has been banning people by accident.  Whenever xbox fixes this problem, whoever has been banned will be unbanned but only when xbox fixes the problem.  I would stay out of AH for the next day or two till this is fixed.

that would be very much appreciated. i really think it maybe to do with having multiple identical cars in your garage but have no way off proving this.

But I spend more time on these forums than playing forza anymore.

I know my scoreboards are most likely cleared and I dont want to smash my xbox yet,lol. but I will play it again someday. maybe.

This makes me happy I havent been on in a while, the AH is usually my first stop.

Alright I have spent some time investigating this and have come up with a few scenarios where you might receive this problem.

If you unplug your console while the game is saving, or have a power outage, it is possible that you could receive this message upon attempting to reload your profile.  In this case, it has nothing to do with any third party devices. 

Another case is if your xbox froze while it was trying to save.

Also I would like to know if anyone who has faced this problem, has duplicate or multiple accounts?

Also if you could give me a short sysnopsis of the steps leading up to your problems it will help.

And Zed:  This issue does not have any relation to users who have multiple cars in there garage.

I just had this happen to me, a solution would be great, I would hate to lose my 100h+ of racing I put into this.

If your profile has been tampered with you can still use it.  Then only thing you cant do with it is gift cars and go to the AH.  You can still race the career, race online, and get those achievements.  After my file was "tampered" with I still race online and am finishing my achievements.  I started a new game to be able to go to AH but thats the only reason. 

So if you want to finish career and race online, you can still use tampered file.  If you want to gift and go to AH then you have to start a new one.

I really believe T10 wont fix that problem or atleast overturn tampered files because they wont be able to distinguish which files were "tampered' by xbox mistake or user mistake.

A friend of mine had this problem too. I know him and he's no duper or anythg else. I lended him one of my tuned car to make him try it, then asked to send it back, then he said he couldn't, it was written this "terms of service" thing on his screen. I first thought he was lying before learning that much honnest people were victims too.

The "Terms Of Service" Message is actually another issue that has already been resolved.  That message appeared for a very large number of people, due to a server issue.  It has since been fixed, so your friend should have access to the auction house and gifting again.

If he doesnt then he most likely has been banned from these features for selling inappropriate designs on the auction house.

Hey Project,

If you use your memory card to just do a back up of your file, it wont give that error.   What made it not work was when my HD crashed and I tried to load a older save.  Because it there was a difference between my last save on the game and my backup, thats when it gave me the tampered issue.  Once my game was ruined I tried different things with new game saves and thats where I came up with the info. With my new game I used the memory card to do a back up and it still works. 

What would be nice is if there is ever a gift locked car patch fix, people who's files were ruined due to xbox fault can get their cars out of tampered files would really be much abliged.

I say to Turn10 to take the update patch out of the sysytem and wipe the leaderboards and see if this will fix the Profile Tampered With Glitch that is happening to us all..I have 3 xbox360's, copies of FM2, and 5 xboxlive accounts that we use and 2 accounts that Never play FM2, are Banned from AH & Gifting, so what the h3ll gives with that???
If people want to cheat and dupe the cars so be it, it is only a game and I did enjoy playing it now it SUCKS....People are going to always find ways to cheat and if the Makers did their jobs right we would not be going through all of this at all...

Yes this is correct.  Moving your data over to a memory unit will not give you this message.  If the game freezes during a save, or power is cut from your console you will receive this message.

The message you are referring to was the result of a server issue that has since been fixed.  It caused innocent users to recieve a message saying there accounts have been banned from the auction house due to violations of the Terms of Service.  This has now been fixed, so unless you have used your multiple accounts to dupe cars, or have sold innnapropriate designs on the auction house, your other accounts should be fine.

 Well I'm the newest victim of the tampered profile problem.

I wrote to microsoft via e-mail as I was advised to do by a mod before he locked the thread Id made asking if this was fixable, due to users flaming Turn 10 big time anyway they replied which was nice and seemed to genuinely feel for me.. although it does not make me feel any better.

As instructed here is exactly what happened before the dredded profile tamper screen

PLEASE NOTE I HAVE NO MEMORY CARDS OR ANY MEMORY BACK UPS AND HAVE NEVER EVER CHEATED

Okay last night I was racing online without problems I also had a 12 hour auction running which finished early hours this morning, this being a Ferrari Enzo with my Starbuck self made design

was in a online lobby choosing a car to race in class A but as I flipped through the garage I got the common freeze up, so no option but to switch off console which I've done maybe 20 times before

Switched back on and searched for a race, got in went to choose car same thing again, at which point I gave up turned power off and went to bed.

Woke up this morning saw via the website by Ferrari had sold via BUY OUT so went and turned Xbox on to collect credits.

However upon loading my profile it took like 3 minutes to load (red screen with forza background with saving game etc at the bottom) then it at last loaded, went to AH but car not there, powered down and rebooted, 3-4 minutes again loading (normally takes 15 seconds) it was so bad I thought it had frozen, this time I got to AH my Ferrari was there lit up green as it was sold.

I then attempted to collect money, it thought about it for a bit then said my profile had been tampered with, tried a few times but same thing every time.

Tried to bid on stuff? same thing.. tried to list another car?? same thing

I don't need to go into detail but VERY UNHAPPY and I refuse to start again, I've completed career at level 50 and 93% complete in arcade, have a fair few million of hard earned credits

In regards to the banned from auction guys, think yourself lucky that sorts itself out with zero long term problems, I've had it 4-5 times now

I was going to give up but I found out the only thing you cant do is go to AH or gift, but you can complete career and do arcade and race online.  You still get those achievements.  Just cant go to the AH.  So I decided to start a new game just to be able to go to AH.  But since I have  memory card, I kept my "tampered file" so I can race online and finish my arcade mode.  Hopefully this is a consolation but the problem needs to be fixed and maybe even undo on some honest peoples saves.

Hey fats, yeah cheers for that I figured that out tonight, I was gutted thinking Id not be able to race online with my one off Paris Hilton design, I don't have a memory card to be able to do like you, but then most artists have left the game so not a great deal in AH nowadays.

Down side is I can't collect my 490,000 for car I sold last night and will not be able to AH my Zippy from rainbow design lol!! plus I sent a message to all my mates which many have gifted me cars to help bump start me but obviously I cant collect

I'm just very bitter that once again another innocent player suffers while that scum bag cheaters remain out there

I have an Xbox Elite STILL in the box as I'm waiting for the free transfere cable from Microsoft, as I wanted to be sure something like this did not happen, if your trying to help? thanks but its not working dude, I don't appriciate being called a liar which is what you are saying... if you don't have this problem get lost and bug another thread!! leave this for people that have something constructive or helpful to say

so is this still being looked into? just wondering if I should just E-bay the game to get my sanity and life back or hold tight and hope for the best.

This game is addictive however you look at it.... I still have Bioshock and Stuntman ignition in there plastic lol!!
