Re: The best car list around......... CHECK IT OUT

    ViolentVelocity:
This in addition to Max PI for a car including top speed, 0-60 times, etc.

The max PI is 999 and I believe almost all the cars can reach it so that would be pointless. As for the top speed, 0-60 times all depend on tuning so there is no exact top speed unless you put the stock top speed, 0-60 times.

Re: THE BEST CAR LIST SPREADSHEET

I've taken the car list which was a very good starting point and added some things to it.

    Forza_2_Kitchen_Sink.xls

The main thing this spreadsheet does is combine the car list with feuerdog's suspension calculations.  In other words, it has the basic suspension settings for all cars listed on one sheet. I was getting tired of the existing spreadsheets that were set up for one car.  The sheet is filled out for all cars with the default drive train and weight.  There are a set of columns Y through AB to change the current values if the car has been upgraded.

Re: THE BEST CAR LIST SPREADSHEET

Hey tonka nice work on combining several sheets. One thing you should probably just ask the owner in the future if you can use there stuff. Not that I care you "stole" my car list, just some people out there can get a little while you know. the first version I started did include the feuerdog's calculator V1 but I never included it (too much work)
once again nice job on the combo

Just click the link and Google should open it up for you. It may be different on IE or whatever you use. I use FF. OpenOffice works too.

Re: THE BEST CAR LIST SPREADSHEET

I can see this stuff mustve taken you a good while to put together.  I'll drop you a suggestion, though.  If you can get your hands on a program like SPSS or SAS you can transfer all this data to their spreadsheet and then compute different numbers for different variables, such as a cross between class and average rank or something like that.  What would really be helpful, though, is to have people send you the specs on a car maxed at C, maxed at B, and also maxed at A, with each corresponding rating for speed, handle, etc.  At that point you could begin to compare which cares are rated, on average, higher per PI at 550, 700, and 850.  These programs will do all of that for you.  People get payed a s**tload of money to do this with different data for different corporations.  Data is data.  I wouldnt pay for this, but someone probably would.  Essentially the comp will spit out numbers for each car  maxed at each class, thus taking some of the guess work out of what youre buying or trying to tune, by telling you ahead of time which cars are "better."

Good stuff on this spreadsheet though.  I'll print this thing out and use it.

Re: THE BEST CAR LIST SPREADSHEET

that not a bad idea big cousin jim, the only thing is that there are so moany different ways to max a cars PI at different lvls. example would be someone could go for racing tires and the next guy could go for HP and they could both have a 850 PI. there is no real max per class since there are so many options available tp upgrade the car with.
