Porsche are using a 40 year old design in essence and Nissan placed the gearbox in the back to help weight distribution. I can't find any figures to check Porshe's weight distribution so excuse me if I'm wrong.

Just remember there are many other things that contribute to a cars speed, not just power and tires. Hell the ZR1 runs leaf springs and is 2nd there, congrats to Corvette for sticking to their belief in that suspension, personally I would have laughed but its time proves they can work.

Nissan is 12 years behind the Corvette in moving their gearbox to the rear. Corvettes did that with the 1997 model year. And I believe the ZR1 has a single transverse-mounted leaf spring in the rear.

lol they have been doing in in Europe for decades its nothing new to move the gearbox back for better weight distribution and its not something that will make a car faster per say it just solves a problem.

as for saying the Nissan is behind the Corvette in terms of technology...wrong in so so many ways

how does the car "de-restrict itself?"

It's electronically restricted in the first place. It's not like there's some metal restrictor plate in the air intake. During normal driving, the car will stop providing fuel to the engine once it reaches a certain speed.

When the car is on a racetrack, the GPS unit in the car detects as much, and stops electronically limiting the car.

    Does that answer your question?

i find that hard to Believe , that nissan put all that info in the GPS system; what do they do about new tracks?

what if the GPS is not working?

how would this effect the warranty?

but if it is true... that is SICK!!!!!
