Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

Pleasent surprise Che! I hope it is Road America, but if it was Blue Mountains or Alpine Ring I would be equally happy. Alpine Ring was the only track I used for testing my setups due to banked corners and changes in elevations, and Blue Mountains was a test of skill with the walls close to each side of the tarmac.

Now, I can't believe people are asking for a drag strip.... Seriously, what's so difficult about pulling the trigger and hitting a button for 6-7 seconds? No clutch or shifter means it's nothing like the real deal, so you might as well do it on the last straightaway of Seebring.

Not only that, but the drag strip in FM1 was a pain for more than 2 people to race on. In case you never played FM1, did you know that after the first two cars took each lane's starting position, the rest of the grid was placed behind those cars? How the hell is that fair for whoever starts last? (You won by position, not by time)

If this is Road America I'll be super happy. I've been out of Forza for a while and kind of started picking it up again last week. Good stuff.

New cars and a track, yay! I would still rather have the drag strip though.

Looking forward to the DLC, and it's been a rapid package as well, so well done chaps, it's priced just right so I don't feel upset at paying for it either!

However, I'm concerned that I and others pointed out that we have a glitched time on the career leaderboard at No.1 over two weeks ago and it hasn't been sorted, can SOMEONE take care of this?

Looking forward to the DLC next week!

I have a short attention sp.....

Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

I could handle Road America, but honestly, I think we have enough high speed dominated tracks... Blue Mountians would be an awesome addition... Alpine ring could be fun also... Even Reo could be a fun addition.

Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

    awesome news...that was pretty quick...

it's not going to be road america though people...for 100 points...I just don't see it happening...

i say either blue mountain or alpine ring, cause they could forgo any licensing issues by making an original track, that way saving time and money.

I hope they bring in the Trans Am especially 02 and 73 with that 455.

For this DLC I'm thinking theyre gonna bring in the 08 Viper, the 08 Evo, the Audi R8, the Lambo Reventon, maybe the Veyron but licensing issues might stop that, and since it was said the muscle car is widely requested i would guess the mercury cougar eliminator, dodge dart, or maybe plymouth road runner. Anybody else have some guesses?

"Seriously, what's so difficult about pulling the trigger and hitting a button for 6-7 seconds?"

Well obviously you missed the whole point, to me I like dragging and racing in hondas and all that good stuff, but to you well I guess you only like tracks. Just like me and my buddy on XBL like dragging our hondas just because it is fun. We would do stuff like he gets the 06 Civic si with a cold air intake and exhaust with the race tranny, and I would get the EG6 Civic with the K20 with a cold air, race tranny and full weight reduction. Then we would race and found each other laughing like little kids by the end of it. The whole point to bring back the drag is just so people can race each other and have fun, and to see who has the better tune. Oh and we need to have the tree to start with and be able to jump at the start and lose the race, and be able to put on drag radials on a civic someday (praying).

Thank you for seeing it my way, and turn 10 bring it back!

Please let the track be Road America...PLEASE let it be Road America!

To musclekarz - Good call on the Trans Am, '08 Viper(or hopefully the '06 SRT-10 coupe) and the Audi R8!  I was about to throw the R8 out there as it would fit in the exotic category...but another exotic I would like to see is the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.  That is possibly my favorite Lambo...and you can thank the Top Gear segment featuring it beside the falcon for that.  Another exotic that I would think is worth is the Pagani Zonda F(fastest production car on the Nurburgring)...and while the Evo X would a good addition, I'm sure the rally car they mentioned is the Sport Quattro.

As for the Veyron, good luck.  I don't think Bugatti would even THINK about putting it into a game with (gasp!) damage.  That and I'm not sure if Turn 10 would be willing to introduce an entirely new manufacturer at this point.

I'm an idiot, I take back my previous post, I was thinking of Road Atlanta, haha.

Wow ROTORKING, while you might have a valid point, that's still a little harsh. lol

At least they know we all would love to see that track back. So we've made some kind of progress.

I'm not dissapointed, I'm just happy to get some new content. I wish they could give us a better hint about the track. I can't wait!! =)

I don't know but if you look at what he said i think we are getting more bimmers then just an e30 m3:

"For instance, the cover image for this week's Pitpass is a top-down photo of one of my favorite Bimmers in the new pack"

And that could be the new m3 or m6!

I for one hope the following are in the car pack, and if any 1 of them are in it i will buy it

    Aston Martin V8
    Lambo Reventon
    07 BMW M3
    Ferrari 599
Ferrari F430 Scuderia (and im hopeful for some decent handling on this one)

And as for the classic rally car its gotta be the quattro or maybe even the Castrol Celica

    xATx ROTORKING:

As for the DLC track... anything I note about its characteristics will definitely give it away, so let me just say that it is one of our favorite tracks from Forza 1 and we're glad it's back in the game. Before I make the Intarwebz implode and crash our forum software with rampant community speculation, know that the new DLC track is not Fujimi Kaido. Sorry, but it's not! But we think you'll be glad nonetheless

Well if you know what track people want

Why Dont You F***n make the C*** instead of disappointing everyone again

you have proved that you know what we want and yet dont give a **** just force feed other **** down our throats

I was thinking the same thing, but not with those words. Its funny you see "one of our favorite tracks from Forza 1" and then, "It isnt Fugi the one everyone wants" We picked the one we had scheduled to come out" Sorry

Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

I hope we are getting 1 or more new R Class cars (thats all I care about) maybe the Porsche Spider P2 car, but with the abbility to change the livery like the 908..

As long as it is not a drag strip, I will like it.. Well, on the other hand I do wish that they release a drag strip just so everyone will shut the hell up about it... What the hell is so fun about a Drag Strip... My god, its like all of the other stupid requests like, please oh please Turn 10 can you add a 1982 Buick LeSabre convertible V6, my Auntie Edith use to take me to the Flea Market every Sunday morning in it and I just think it would be a great addition to FM2...

Give me a F**kin break!!!!!!   This is a video game and it is meant to give you a chance to do something or drive something that otherwise you would not be able to do in real life, like drive a real life 2 million dollar race car that unless you are either a billionare or one of the few select people on earth that get to drive these things for a living, you will only ever be able to watch it on TV or from the side of the track... These requests are like if they came out with a game that you could have sex with any woman or women on earth, would you say please oh please Turn 10 can we have the abbility to beat off in the next DLC?

What would be cool is a spec series with identical cars just with different bodies and multiple different paint schemes.. Like a DTM series with the new C class DTM race car and the new Audi A4 DTM race car and all of the different liveries, but with identical performance with only the ability for minor set up changes, such as gearing and arrow.

Sorry, I know everyone has their own taste and personality, but give us all a break.

P.S. Call of Duty 4, Can you please give us a sling shot in the next DLC! You know, that same one that David used against Goliath...

Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

i was hoping for the R33, theres only a VERY FEW games taht actually have the R33, i really would like to see the R33 GT-s(rwd skyline) but from what che said, i didn't see anything about japanese cars. so it probably wont show up.

but honestly, i dont see whats so great abour road america. But blue mountains, HELLA YEA!!
besides kaido, blue mountains was the second most wanted track from forza, and he said our favorite track from forza one, if you go back to the track request thread, blue mountain has it hands down.

but i could be wrong. im just looking for a new touge/drift course

and to the people who said its going to eb a drag strip, i dont know if yall remember this, but as said earlier around teh time when the game first came out, there aint ANY  PTP tracks coming out for this game, and obvously the drag strip is a ptp, so you ALREADY know it not comming, at least not right now.

Re: The Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report - 11/30/07

    Thought this might help..

Took some shots of Road America (Forza 1)..

Cover car is taken on the "New" track. so that means the track has a rumble strip. A few tracks and guesses I've seen.. Really don't think a drag strip would have rumbles (its possible tho).. Rio doesn't have rumble strips. Blue Mountain has blue and yellow rumbles. Alpine Ring doesn't ever have the patch of concrete on the outside of the rumbles.

Wouldn't be the first time im wrong but I believe these pic's solves the question on which track it is.

    And the cover image..
