Sorry for the delay, folks, I had a nice long weekend of visiting family members, a visit to the theater, and my daughter's favorite, a trip to the carnival.  Just in case you've ever wondered, the pure physical form of happiness is a two-year-old on a four story tall slide.

So I haven't done much on the XBox this weekend, what with all the real-life stuff going on.

Anyway, today I start in on a Georgia car, and then on to Clayton County, GA, by request.

I'm trying to figure out why our email registration isn't working.  I don't want to have to do one of those admin-approval things, where you have to wait for someone to approve your membership, but on the other hand, I don't want to let every spambot loose in there because then we'll have to spend the rest of our lives just sorting the wheat from the chaff.

That's about the last thing on my end from opening the FMP Forums.  I'm probably going to set up a separate post about our tuning packages, too, with pretty much all the info but the tunes themselves - stats, benchmark results, all that.  I could even put in a section for people to share their own best times with the different cars.

I was also thinking of setting up a photo album - it occurs to me that I've gone through several generations of cars since the first ones I sold, and some of the older ones could qualify as collectibles since they're out of circulation.  Might be fun seeing how people have been doing with their FMP purchases...

Yes, I know I have been busy lately.  With Connecticon just a week and a half away, I'm devoting a lot of time to getting the console gaming department up to speed.  Again, anyone in the New England area owes it to themselves to come and check it out - as the head of the video game department, I've put a lot of my own blood, sweat, and tears into this year's 'Con, and it'll be worth it.  The Forza 1 and 2 tournaments (yes, we will have our old XBoxes out to play, too!) will feature some pretty cool prizes for anyone who has a valid XBL account to receive cars - they'll have their pick of the FMP catalog, as well as the Transformers lineup that WylieJL is putting together.  (G1 Jazz is friggin' spectacular, I just want to point out - S998 tune and loves to drift!)  Maybe next year we'll actually have our act together in time to get Turn 10 involved...?

Finally, an update from my own garage: Georgia State Patrol car is coming along nicely.  Thanks to some confusion as to whether the official Chargers were going to use the blue/white scheme with gold lettering, the blue/white scheme with white lettering, or the black scheme with gold lettering, I ended up doing them all.  The lettering didn't suit me at all, so it will feature a fair amount of custom lettering, too, which is something I've been meaning to get better at doing - so this is my excuse to perfect it and get at least one usable font in my library for other cars.  I've got the lettering pretty much the way I want it on the GSP car, and the plate's all but done, so now it's just the badge and any other finishing touches to complete.  Call it about halfway there.  I will, of course, unveil it here first, so keep your eyes peeled.

Okay, after fiddling this long with the email settings, it still isn't working the way it's supposed to.  So I've decided that it's been long enough, and to change tactics.  From here on in, the FMP board will require a simple human check at registration - instead of the usual COPPA form, I've put in a little plain-text question that should keep all but the most determined spambots out of our forums.  Email validation is no longer required.

To whit, I guess it's about time to invite people in...

From there, you'll be able to check out our catalog, place orders, see the status of any current open auctions, look for special FMP-themed events, and leave feedback.

While it would be nice to have one of those open-ended forums that have the off-topic category and all like that, the FMP Forum really isn't about that.  It's just a way to supplement what we do here on this thread, and to make getting a Forza Motor Pool car into your garage that much easier.

If you haven't noticed, though, this is my first time setting up my own forums, so please, take it easy on us, okay?  Any constructive criticism would be welcome, and I'll do my best to streamline and improve the customer experience based on that criticism.

I'll update the first post in this thread with a link to the forum, too.

Iowa State Patrol used to be brown/tan, but I got jumped by their '06 Charger the other day.  Apparently they're gun-metal grey now.  Had I known I wouldn't have been speeding. Lol.

As for a sweet design for Chargers:  I will look into it and see if I can use photobucket (never have before) and try to get you a picture of the Chargers the County Sherrifs drive in Iowa.  Base-coat white with Green/Yellow design.  Paint scheme looks ever better on the Crysler 300C's they drive.

Braden57 has done an excellent job of putting together a portfolio of cars in his attempt to join the FMP - so good that I think he's earned himself a slot on the team.  He brings with him cars from Colorado, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and he's been working on a Tennessee car as well.  We'll get some pics up in the catalog on the first post of this thread and on the FMP Forums website very soon.

Like all FMP sellers, his Chargers will come with the FMP Interceptor A850 tune by Pothole 0222, and will feature the most realistic paint modeling that Forza 2 can handle.
