Howdy Folks
Hope everyone is well. Seems awfully quiet in here of late with Fods having dropped of the planet and many others moving on or losing interest. Hope everyone has not given up on Forza entirely.
I have not had the best start to this week. Works PC went blue screen on Monday requiring a total rebuild. Thankfully no work lost as that is stored on central server but had to rebuild from scratch reinstalling all programs, downloading patches and restoring all my personalised settings. Now thankfully back to normalish just struggling with our offices very slow internet (does anyone remember the days of dial up modems)
As all who follow posts will have gathered I have not been that active in Forza 4 lately apart from the club comps but still planning rematch with the leaderboards probably over christmas holidays.
Still have 3 of the achievements to get in Horizon and have been waiting for the new DLC to come out before I try to complete the last ones.
I must also confess to being unfaithfull to Forza and have been sampling a number of other driving games to play for variety.
For accade style entertainment I now have NFS Most Wanted, Burnout Paradise and Driver San Francisco. Of these Driver San Fancisco and Burnout are probably the best fun although there is a limit to the amount of time you can spend tearing about crashing into things and doing stunts till it does get a bit boring.
For serious racing I also have F1 2012 and Dirt 3. The nearest thing I have found to Forza and can highly recomend for anyone who has not tried it is Dirt 3. This has excellent handling and the FFB works really well. Assists can be turned off to make the handling even more realistic and the graphics and weather effect such as the snow and ice with spray flying everywhere is awesome. Really loving this one so if anyone who has ever fancies a bit of head to head give me a shout. For the tuners car set up is also possible although not quite up to Forza standards. F1 2012 seems like an excellent game as well but really struggling to master the speed as well as getting the timing right for the braking and apexes. A very challenging game for serious racers. Have put that one aside to try and master more over Christmas hols.
Have also just ordered a true bargain buy. This is wait for it...... Drum roll ...... Forza 3 Ultimate Edition.... Cost the princely sum of £11 including delivery. This may seem to be a little late but as I really spend most of my time doing offline playing thought would be a worthwhile investment at this price and will enjoy the challenge of the event list. Also look forward to trying the tracks which were removed from Forza 4 like the full Positano and New York I believe.
Think my holiday is well sorted anyway an expecting to be spending lots of it in the drivers seat so if anyone fancies some racing in any of those games then hit me up.

Just a quick question on Power Tour. Was wondering if we were going to try out any of the remaining cars (from those who dropped out) even if just for entertainment value. Would have liked to try B2B's for one and sure there were a couple of other drop outs whose tunes may have been interesting. Apreciate you are pretty buy at the moment with all those race series going on in addition to some crazy working hours. If not worth putting up for the main comp might you be able to put them in the Club Garage so those like myself who might be interested could give them a spin.
Happy gaming all whatever you may be up to
All Best
