Rd 12 PowerTour MY FINAL TIME

    3:50:608

I really liked this tune, suited the track very well. Nothing wrong with your tuning!

Next up is my car I think. You're all going to hate it, max power and rubbish handling.

I was thinking of throwing in some extra credit prizes for this round if that's ok by you Gateman? I would open it up to anyone with access to the car and prizes would be substantial. Perhaps a photo comp and booby prize also?

    Power Tour Rd 12 - Final Time - 3:48.241

My Xbox Live subscription expired last week.  I had a 48hr code, which I used last Sunday and it enabled me to set a time on Monday for this round but I haven't been able to try and improve my time because I haven't got access to the club garage.  My time is up on the leaderboard but I've just realised that I can't upload my replay.  If there're no objections, I'll try to sort something out for next week and I'll upload my replay then.

Hey Jimmy, I have a farely old 1 month Gold membership code (never used) that I will give you. (Do they ever expire if not used by a certain date??) Anyways add me on XBL and I will gladly send you over the code.

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

So after a week of neglecting Forza to play Sleeping Dogs (which I just beat yesterday) I finally got around to driving the Power Tour car a little while ago. Great car Eddie, I'll admit that the Falcon is the one I wanted to pick but when I saw that you chose it I figured it was appropriate if the resident upside down Aussie got to tune the most iconic Australian Ford! 900 horsepower in that car is a fun ride!

After 3 sessions (two 4 lap runs, than a 2 lapper) I set what I thought was a great time. It was ahead of you on the LB, so I thought I had this round in the bag...then I came on here and I find out that your official time is roughly 3 tenths faster than me.

Hmmph. So that's the way it's gonna be, eh? THIS MEANS WAR!!! Stick out tongue

I guess it's back to work for me! I'm off to go try to improve, I think I can find the time I need but it's gonna require a PERFECT lap. Lucky for me I reeeallly like Le Mans...

@Bickel: Yeah those codes do expire, I had a bunch of them from my old original Xbox games from around the time XBL launched that I tried to use when I finally got high speed internet 2? years ago, but they were all expired. Check the cards, it should say what date they expire in the tiny print somewhere on them...

EDIT: Well, I was able to do it...sorry Eddie! Hey, if I'm going to make it close at the end I need to try to pick up a win man...so MY FINAL TIME IS:

Round 12 Power Tour - 3:45.033 (as always, no assists) set on Lap 1 of the replay in my SF...

What's that I hear you say? "Lap ONE?!!" Well, I sort of got tired after my 5th or 6th restart (I kept messing up at Tertre Rouge on my 2nd fast lap) sooo I did away with the whole wasting 4 minutes on a standing start lap and backed up to get a run at the start. Embarrassed Once I was able to get a clean run through that corner without hitting the baguettes it was only a matter of not messing up Mulsanne hairpin or the no name righthander just before Indianapolis, the other two corners that were giving me problems...and I did it! Now I'm off to go do a victory dance and then collapse into bed lol, I've been awake for close to 30 hours now...

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

Hmm well after looking at the codes there is no date on them. I got them a few months before FM4 was launch when I was at an ALMS race at the Forza tent. So I dunno how long ago that was and how long they would last but they are not like 5 yrs old or nothing. Its worth a shot I guess so Jimmy if you send me a message on XBL I will send you the code to atleast try. Or you can PM me here either way just let me know if you want to try the code.

    Rd 12 PowerTour

MY FINAL TIME: 3:49.024 on lap 5.

    Replay on SF.

Considering Eddy's info on the Falcon, I'd say it handled pretty good. As long as you keep it smooth on the corners and get the sweeps just right, there's no probs. It was a fun run & I'm happy I got below the 50's. I was shooting for Jimmy's time and I got plenty of dirty successes but just couldn't keep it together when getting anxious in the S's tward the end.

I hope Gateman has some good luck with all the bakeryness going on. I bet it smells good there... hehe. I hope you get lots of rest and have some driving time, buddy!

Also very nice of Bickel to offer Jimmy some more Xbox LIVE time. Hope that goes well.

I managed to get 3rd place in the week 49 Forza Motorsport 4 Community Photo Contest in the Community Events so I was happy to see that. It was quite a surprise! If anyone gets a chance, feel free to view the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in the SF's Turn 10 Picks.

I hope you all have a great week!

    Jebi

    Hi All,

Fun drive Eddie!  A bit too much power for me though; my final time ( only clean lap of 20 or so frustrating efforts) is: 4:08.814 on the LB.

     Cheers!

Congrats on the photo comp place Jebi. I never was that good with photos but I always enjoy viewing the good shots. Keep it up. Did you win anything??

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

    Howdy All

Somewhat confused with my saved lap this week as I could have sworn that I set a lap which was only just behind my original LB ghost at 04.00.??? but when I checked to get the time to post the fastest lap recorded is 04:06.325

Will have to go with the lower time so. Power Tour round 12 MY FINAL TIME 04:06.325

I thought the car worked pretty well for Old Mulsanne and would have beaten my original LB time if I had given a bit more effort. Bemused as to what happended to my 4 minute run. Always found Le Mans a very frustrating circuit though where clipping a corner 2 minutes before you finish the lap dirties your next one so did not really give this one as much effort as I should have. Probably the mother of all hangovers did not help......... Anyway enough excuses replay is up

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

    Howdy again,

Well I am starting to get back into the game alittle being that I have alot of free time on hand and its winter now. So I just put up my Seat Supercup car sense so many people enjoyed driving it I figured maybe when you guys get together with other club memebrs in a lobby you could have you own Supercup race.

Secondly I added a new tune and paint for the Transit Van for the new monthly rivals. Currently I have it sitting #40 on the LB's and my pal Miffymak was so kind to give me some great decals to put on the side to make it look stunning. Feel free to give some feedback on it as I still feel there is some room to improve it. I also might share it with the TM if it gets good feedback. Very fun to slide that beast around!!

    Happy racing.

To whoever it's applicable, feel free to remove me from the horizon club. Traded it in a few weeks ago as it feels unfinished and the DLC makes me vom a little in my mouth

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

    Howdy Folks

Hope everyone is well. Seems awfully quiet in here of late with Fods having dropped of the planet and many others moving on or losing interest. Hope everyone has not given up on Forza entirely.

I have not had the best start to this week. Works PC went blue screen on Monday requiring a total rebuild. Thankfully no work lost as that is stored on central server but had to rebuild from scratch reinstalling all programs, downloading patches and restoring all my personalised settings. Now thankfully back to normalish just struggling with our offices very slow internet (does anyone remember the days of dial up modems)

As all who follow posts will have gathered I have not been that active in Forza 4 lately apart from the club comps but still planning rematch with the leaderboards probably over christmas holidays.

Still have 3 of the achievements to get in Horizon and have been waiting for the new DLC to come out before I try to complete the last ones.

I must also confess to being unfaithfull to Forza and have been sampling a number of other driving games to play for variety.

For accade style entertainment I now have NFS Most Wanted, Burnout Paradise and Driver San Francisco. Of these Driver San Fancisco and Burnout are probably the best fun although there is a limit to the amount of time you can spend tearing about crashing into things and doing stunts till it does get a bit boring.

For serious racing I also have F1 2012 and Dirt 3. The nearest thing I have found to Forza and can highly recomend for anyone who has not tried it is Dirt 3. This has excellent handling and the FFB works really well. Assists can be turned off to make the handling even more realistic and the graphics and weather effect such as the snow and ice with spray flying everywhere is awesome. Really loving this one so if anyone who has ever fancies a bit of head to head give me a shout. For the tuners car set up is also possible although not quite up to Forza standards. F1 2012 seems like an excellent game as well but really struggling to master the speed as well as getting the timing right for the braking and apexes. A very challenging game for serious racers. Have put that one aside to try and master more over Christmas hols.

Have also just ordered a true bargain buy. This is wait for it...... Drum roll ...... Forza 3 Ultimate Edition....  Cost the princely sum of £11 including delivery. This may seem to be a little late but as I really spend most of my time doing offline playing thought would be a worthwhile investment at this price and will enjoy the challenge of the event list. Also look forward to trying the tracks which were removed from Forza 4 like the full Positano and New York I believe.

Think my holiday is well sorted anyway an expecting to be spending lots of it in the drivers seat so if anyone fancies some racing in any of those games then hit me up.

    Couple of personal messages

    @Jimmy

    PM Replied Thanks

    @Gateman

Just a quick question on Power Tour. Was wondering if we were going to try out any of the remaining cars (from those who dropped out) even if just for entertainment value. Would have liked to try B2B's for one and sure there were a couple of other drop outs whose tunes may have been interesting. Apreciate you are pretty buy at the moment with all those race series going on in addition to some crazy working hours. If not worth putting up for the main comp might you be able to put them in the Club Garage so those like myself who might be interested could give them a spin.

Happy gaming all whatever you may be up to

    All Best

@Leper,I was nice enough to let you win in your car, what kind of person goes back and has another go to beat the tuner in his own car,the youth of today just have no respect for their elders Stick out tongue. On a serious note,Well done mate, nice time and makes the Final round very interesting and a great battle.

Can't wait to see the updated table,so i know how much time i need to make up on you.

Re: Forza Community Club (4zCC) Thread

Hey man, all's fair in love & war (and hotlap competitions)!!

But yeah, the fact that the comp is going down to the wire in the last round of a 13 week battle is pretty cool, no matter who comes out on top I think we can both be proud of our effort! It's a shame we lost ONEQWKSTI and Linear from the comp tho, this could've easily been a 4-way battle for the win...

And what do ya mean youth? My receding hairline and expanding gut dispute that claim! Stick out tongue

@Leper:I will see your receding hairline and expanding gut,and raise you Grey hair and bad eyesight.

Yeh,it would of been a great battle if they were still around, but at least we have still kept it interesting. On that note,i have gone back a few pages to the last Power tour update and this is the standings as of rnd 9,plus the 3 rounds since.

                     LEPER                                EDDIE

                Time        Points                      Time        Points

    Total   15.55.010      165                    15.55.752   166

    rnd10     1.39.119        19                     1.38.915     20

    rnd11     1.49.522        19                     1.48.804     20

    rnd12     3.45.033        20                     3.45.440     19

                    ?               223                          ?         225

Can you and anyone else see what total times you get, because every time i total it,then tally it a different way to make sure, they never match.

I am ahead by 2 points and think you are ahead by .227.

From a quick headcount, I get the same as you jtbp.

Congrats on the pick jebi! Good work!

For those interested, a member of the firl.Com website has put up a contest in light of the lf-a's new record time around the ring. He's challenging us to beat a certain time around the nordschleife in an lf-a, so anyone feeling like trying it out, check it out.

    A little update regarding me-

Got less than a week until the new season of the fscc kicks off! Getting excited, eventhou I have no clue what car Ill drive yet. It usually comes down to a last minute decision, building and tuning a car in panic, lol. The v8 supercars might switch days to thursdays and become bi-weekly ( or well, every other week-type of thing). It looks like we might soon have a full field of drivers so we might kick it off soon. If you guys know anyone else interested in running in that type of series, be kind and advise them to this series:P

I hope everyone gets a nice and relaxing weekend, I know I will:)
