Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
I dont think this is going to be addressed guys. Ive emailed them several times with no response. It seems as if they dont care.
They must read this forum, yet they choose not to even give a response.
They soon reply with the hype up til till the game was released, now its been released and prob sold as much as it will they dont want to know!
Come on Turn 10 sort this small bug out, it cant be that difficult.

Hi bob,i ain't really played online much yet,so i can't really answer you.But you've just got me worried that my 350 cars (can't fit anymore in my garage) will go down to 150 cars in a lobby?
Could it be the host putting restrictions on the car classes available to you for the next race?

I think your right "sg1975",why i came back here today is beyond me?..i really should have given up by now.Thing is,if they do finally reply...i just know their gonna tell us our gamesaves are corrupted.
I can't believe im dumb enough to look back for an official response...when i already know what their official response will be.

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
OK guys, this is how I've been working around this issue. I have found that entering your garage for any reason through "My Cars" in the main menu will make you prone to a guaranteed freeze at some point in the game, causing you to have to reboot, whether it be right at the car selection screen or while shopping, painting, etc. BUT, if you never enter your garage in that manner, it will not freeze, and you can buy and race all you please. My solution to selecting the car you want? Just go to enter a race where the car you want to get into is accepted, select that car you want, and then back out of the course selection and then, you are in the car of your choice, ready to upgrade, race, paint, or what ever. Just do NOT enter the "My Cars" screen as you are pretty much guaranteed to freeze it. I don't know if this will work for all of you, but since I have been having the same issues as the rest of you, I figured this will work for you, too. Now, the game should still be fixed IMO, but this is still atleast makes the game somewhat playable. Hope this helps anyone out there.

Thanks Man! and my hat's off to you(in salute).

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
same prob here. it used to only freeze while selecting a car from the garage (which i could live with..) but since the last update it freezes everywhere. car select, during races, while painting, loading a race. . .
its very dissapointing, i love this game, so i want to be able to play it with out having to worry about freezing.

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
I'm sorry but this is BEYOND annoying! ATLEAST once a day I am experiencing this freezing issue at the same point on the same game every time.
On the 'select a car' screen, as the models are loading up it will always always always freeze. I'm posting this now as my screen is completely frozen on my 360.
I would assume that this is a hardware issue except for the fact that this game only freezes on this portion of the game and it happens multiple times. What gives, this is beyond frustrating.
:edit: guess I'll have to stick with the "workaround" for now...

not the room settings..... checked. (friend was host)
I would hate to think this game is a dud and that i wasted the last 2 months playing 4 no reason... I mean whats the point of doing all those races and getting all those cars and makin all that online$$$ to buy all these hot replicas, when i can never show a friend?

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
I've got a little scratch on the disc, but never had a freeze. Maybe it's the way to pick a car: I enter the garage and select 'em by the list...

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
I rarely freeze, however it does happen and is not an issue with the xbox itself as I have had it on both my premium and my elite.
Since the update I have had no change in freezing though, it did it before too and it isn't always at a specific place. It's happened mid race, while loading for a race and when sat in the menu once too. Never when I have been selecting a car.
It isn't that big a deal, it isn't the only game which freezes, freezing is the future of gaming, get used to it.

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
guys, i had exactly the same issues and only with FM2!
I was also complaining on here regularly!!!
- in fact if you search for my posts, you will see i even raised the it with the demo when it was first released.
i then bought a second xbox (2) and sent xbox (1) back to MS
after 2 days, xbox (2) froze exactly the same ...
at this point i KNEW it was forza, how could it not be?
BUT....
i then returned xbox (2) to the shop, and got a replacement (xbox 3) that then worked for 4 weeks and still works
then after 6 weeks (to the day!), xbox 1 ,returned back from MS (replaced motherboard apparently)
i switch back to using it, even though xbox 3 was still working and that has now been working for over 4 weeks.
the point is,
YES xboxs are failing very regularly
YES i think FM2 pushes the xbox more than other games (why do others not fail)
But... its a hardware issue, and your boxes need to go back to MS , and beware, as 360 games get more complex (PGR4, halo!) just watch the ever increasing numbers of failures!
agreed, the current 6 weeks waiting is unacceptable, but at least if you send it in MS have to pay for fixing the shoddy goods they have given you.
(you also get 4 weeks gold free, but thats a joke as your most likely be without your xbox for 6 weeks :( )

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
Ok i get what your saying that fortza might " push" the 360.....but come on, mine doesnt freeze when playing the game itself. Its freezes on the garage scrolling cars part, so your telling me a next gen machine cant scroll small images across the screen without freezing?
The game has a bug/problem....that is a fact.

Agreed. Mine only begins freezing once iv'e been into or are in the garage. Other than that my 360 Elite is perfect. Never froze once before I started getting a lot of cars and was Manufactured July 16th 07.

@ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
yeah im getting the frezzing in forza also but my 360 was also nice enough to give me a bonus ring of scratches all around the outside of the disc and i dunno if it just me but forza 2 is the only game that my xbox has done this to, i find that to be ironic on acount of the microsoft Xbox / Microsoft Forza 2 thing.....
i am the stig.... the second one the one whos not dead....

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.
Yeah, they really need to fix it. Mine only freezes when im in my garage looking for cars. It freezes because of the design on the car. They should make it that you don't have to load the design. I kind of stopped playing because of it.
