    Re: My Forza gaming rig.

So I can add a new addition to my race setup. Last Friday I ordered the SFA-1 Shifter Adapter by Basher Boards. This puppy will allow me to hook up a TH8RS-shifter to my Fanatec wheel.... Very excited Big Smile

Check out his thread on GT-Planet

Nice rig! Looks a lot of fun! I was tempted to get a Logitech G25. You can get the adaptors now to use it with the xbox360 but I feel ide need the propper chair/frame and with it being in my bedroom there won't be much space.

Thanks Beav. It is lots of fun. But be carefull with those G25/G27 adapters, as I have heard a lot of mixed results... mostly bad. But good luck any way you go. Big Smile

    Re: My Forza gaming rig.

Hi I saw the link to this thread from the horizon page. I wanted to ask whether you had put another covering over the plastic on the top and lower portions of the wheel. It looks to me like there is some kind of grip tape on there but I can't quite tell from the picture. I have the orange electrical tape waiting for the centre stripe :D

Bicycle handlebar tape. You can get it in leather, foam, cork, and gel. I got the leather, and it feels great.

    Re: My Forza gaming rig.

Haha I thought as much, been scoping out possible places to pick some up tomorrow. Might go for some red tape, with a black centre stripe :D. Should go nice with my orange wheelstand pro. No room for a rig plus the wife would kill me lol. I have a long term project with my garage as a man cave so maybe one day....

Let me know how the tape works out for you, and maybe post a pic? Good luck on the man cave... great place to disappear when in need.

What size is the rubber grommet you have the buttkicker mounted to 3/4" ? My wife is getting me one like that for X-mas,  I'm going to try and have it all ready to go before hand.

It's an impact socket. How I attached it:

    Re: My Forza gaming rig.

Ah ok it looked like a big piece of rubber, but that would only dampen it.This will be my first experience with a buttkicker so I learn as I go. I guess a piece of 3/4" or 1/2" black iron pipe would work as well. Thanks for the info.

That is an awesome setup for sure. It reminds me of some of the setups I've seen with my hardcore flight sim enthusiast friends; three big monitors, joystick, throttle and pedals, Recaro-type seat.

Thanks. I've seen allot of setups, and the Obutto is very versatile for flight/driving and all other types of gaming.

Using some scrap wood and microfiber cloth, I decided to make a desk top (dashboard).
