or a wheelie contest. smart money would be a golf, as its the closest thing to a chevette in this game.

Go ahead and use your LB crutch car. I'll break it with muscle

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

Im still having trouble. Been trying a WS6 w/ low rear tire pressure, a tall first gear, soft rear suspension in every catigory that calls for stiff or soft, ride hieght is maxed up. Still nothing. My car is fully modded exept for limited slip differential. PLEASE HELP.

I would recommend adding a limited slip diff set to 100%. Without it, you'll lose traction earlier because all the torque is going to one wheel. With one set at 100%, it should power both wheels the same.

Here's another pic of the Porsche. I can't get it up any higher than this. It's sitting on the bumper. Streaks are from previous launches. Stick out tongue

I'm gonna try a Buick Regal GNX next, but I gotta raise some funds first. The Porsche cleaned me out.

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

I've been on the 69 charger, can get it to launch pretty hard but no wheelie.

wanted to try the gnx, but going back to the rear engine cars for another try.

    the basics

soft rear suspension, try to get as much weight transfer to the rear as possible.

    race diff 100% locked

    tall 1st gear

rear camber? should always be as close to zero as possible

I always try to have the camber as close to zero as possible at full suspension comression (Middle of launch) but I'm no master. I still haven't managed to get the GNX's front tires off the ground.

Starting to get it higher off ground, but this is one of first pics i took of it.  Rubber mark is from previous launches. I hate when people switch between brake and throttle to bounce it!

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

I am wondering how many people think it needs to be a little stickier.

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

OK I tried a 02 Camaro SS the differential at 100%, soft front and rear suspension in every catigory, rear tire pressure at about 19 pounds, camber at 0 front and rear. This is as close as it gets without actually getting it. There has to be just 1 thing that im missing. Here is the pics from my most recent attempt. Please help.

you front suspension needs to be stiff, the rear softer is better

In the Porsche at least, it was better with the front soft.

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

Are you guys bouncing the car to get the front up, or is it from a standstill? In the pictures of the Porsche pulling the front up I see some black streaks behind the car that look like they might be a result of the gas-break-gas way of getting the tires to lift.
    What would Rossi do?

Nah, these are power wheelies. (Standing start) The streaks in my pic are from previous launches.

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

I couldn't get the GNX off the ground, so I switched to a more rearward weight biased front engine car, but I'm still just a touch shy of lifting. I'mma take a break for a little while.

Kinda off topic but... anyone knows when we're getting the stickier drag strip?

    Also, sick wheelies there.

There is really no word yet, kinda is tho, since we have people that asked turn10 about getting this, i did also.

Got a reply back on twitter saying it would be better to email them and explain what we really need so they can fix it.

Due to my lack of skills on twitter, i couldn't find a way to send them an email throught it, but hopefully they give us, Drag Slicks, Have the track sticky so that people with street tires can hook, but still have a little spin, auto-rev (removed), The option to make us put different rims in the rear and front can help traction issues, (ex... would be heavy rims in the front for fwd, while having lights in the rear, Heavy rims in the back for RWD along with lights in the front, AWD can be rear and front light or heavy, depending on the drivers choice) hopefully i made this clear.

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

Any tips on how to get some kind of lift? All I ever seem to do is just spin spin spin with no lift. I've got a '02 Camaro and a '75 Firebird with wide tires in back, skinny (as skinny as can get) in front.

Guys, I'll admit that those Camaro wheelies were after 1 bounce. BUT, I just tuned a car that WILL WHEELIE FROM A LAUNCH AND DRAG BUMPER. The video is being uploaded on forza right now. I'll throw it on youtube in about 5 min!

Re: Launch Wheelies on sticky surface at Ladera???

I think the key is a tall first gear. Set just tall enough not to spin the tires on full throttle launch, that's what has gotten mine off the ground. My 93 Mustang is getting closer to the height of the yellow Porsche.
