The main question is: Does the Susan G Komen Foundation use that word?

No, the main question is: Is that word allowed in the AH/storefront or not? It appears the answer is no. It seems silly, I'll side with that but it is what it is. This is one of those things where the line has to be drawn somewhere, it was drawn here and even though there was no negative intent by the creator it still falls under the "no no" catagory.

In a sense I agree, that the line has to be drawn somewhere....there has to be hard / fast rules, otherwise player A uses a word in a certain context which is deemed acceptable, while player B uses the same word in a derogatory or sexual context. Thus you have the conflict of Player B stating.."Well I saw this car from Player A on the auction house using the same word and he was not banned...why was I banned"

Kind of sad, as I see where context TRULY makes the difference in the case of the original poster. But I also have to see the other side of the coin, so to speak, in Turn 10's defense as to having a black and white definition of what is acceptable in accordance with the XBOX Live TOS....there really can be no grey area in this in order to keep the Auction House / Storefront a Family Friendly place.

    Another puppy kicker? ;)

Look, the concept of "black and white" and "zero tolerance policies" is stupid.  There's a difference between using the word in a sexual context and using it in the context he is, and it's a very accepted word in society.  Here at work, they're starting up another Relay for Life team founded by one of the women who had *** cancer.  My neice is finally old enough to move past the *** feeding stage of her life.  On my way home from work, I might stop at Bojangles and pick up a two-*** dinner for my wife.

There is nothing inherently dirty about the word.  In fact, given the context, it's quite the opposite.

Turn 10 (and MS) should be ashamed of themselves for this.

    Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: banned for a Susan G Komen bumper sticker

I agree, it is ridiculous to just put a blanket over the word and not the context. Actually, In all honesty I don't see the word as being a problem in any context. What child has not heard the word and what parent has ever told their child to not use the word. I think using slang like boobies is far worse and I might tell my kid not to use the word, but breasts should be perfectly acceptable.

Just go to the Xbox Live marketplace, the word is used in descriptions of quite a few of the shows available for download and purchase.

I agree with you, not a puppy kicker here...I love my German Shepherd thank you very muchDog

I just look at both sides of the coin, while I may not agree with the ban for the original poster I also have to try and understand the stance that Turn 10 / Microsoft are taking if I were in their shoes....there is a very fine line here and it has to be drawn in the sand SOMEWHERE, even though I may not agree I do accept it.

Re: banned for a Susan G Komen bumper sticker

I'm not at all arguing that this is a tad...rediculous.  The proper word for the male reproductive organ is not offensive, but you can't have it written all over cars either. As I said before, it sucks, but it is what it is and you just have to try and understand the position that they are in to moderate the UGC of millions of people. They have to make it easy and streamline it by setting some rules and standing by them.

Re: banned for a Susan G Komen bumper sticker

I must admit, this is kind of ridiculous. You certainly shouldn't get banned just for putting that word on a vinyl, especially in the context it was used. I feel sorry for you, because you obviously had no ill intentions in making this vinyl.

Edit: I suppose that if I made a vinyl for testicular cancer awareness I would get banned too.

That is obviously not the reason for your ban. T10 even had a Ken Block style photo and replay as their "T10 picks".

OH OH OH..........well then this makes more sense as to why you were banned. That is a slang reference to breasts, usually used in a sexual context. Even though you were not using it in that way.

I commend you for what you were trying to do, that is pretty noble of you to donate up to $500 for the cause Yes

I once got banned for 2 days for having in my motto "Saving everyone's a55"
That's not even offensive but whatever.

The funny thing is Marcus Fenix can say words even a rapper would consider offensive and he doesn't get banned. >=(
