One that was illegally copied.  I believe one of the patches from Turn 10 took care of that last Fall.  If you're having trouble, read through this post and look up the specific information provided abou how to contact Turn 10 with needed for them to investigate.  It is also in the Forza Motorsport 2 FAQ.

the same thing happened to me... but the only way around it is to delete the profile! but i have a question for you... it's been about 3 days since i've deleted my prfile and started a new one... but now when i try to go to the AH or gift a car it's saying that "this option is currently unavailiable or your gamertag has been banned." i know that it's not unavailable and i don't see why my gamertag would be banned! if you know how i could fix this please let me know because i've already lots everything on my game once i don't want to lose it again!

i've been banned to and have no idea why!

i don't think that is the case for me because i can use my brother's gamertag and get right into the AH!

yeah it's pi**ing me off to. i can't do sh** on mine, but play in the game.

Doen't the game recognize the profile as tampered and not the cars?

Ok here we go.

Basically had an update yesterday which took about 4 minutes to upload (I hadn't touched the game in a few weeks). Once this uploaded the game fired up normally but once it gets past the opening video and onto where it says ''Saving Game Progress'' I get a lovely little message popping up saying ''This Forza Profile Has Been Tampered With Please Delete And Try Again'' Or something along those lines. I really don't want to delete my profile and lose everything. I e-mailed Turn 10 yesterday and just waiting for a reply.

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't even load the game anymore after I get that message boots me back to dash.

so i was in contact with them, and they said they couldint figure out why they cant restore it after trying twice, offered me 1,000,000 to delete and start over. Well i do it and a week of just working up my carrer again and i get the *** message again

Okay ...yay never thought it would happen to me, o lucky me. But when i jumped on live today to check my AH sales, I sold my cars. Bad thing is a popup appears and says ( your profile has been tampered with , please delete this profile and create a new one ) this is a load of bs. I have nearly 5,000,000 credits and over 10 mill in cars in my garage. This should be fixed and if not then i guess i will give up on this game. I finally get the game for christmas then finally get almost 5,000,000 and then i have to restart....no not happening.

What sorts of things are you doing to get this message?  If you turn off your console in the middle of a save, or after being active on the Auction House you may encounter this message.  Make sure that you fully back out of the Auction House before you reset your console in the future.

Unfortunately you will have to delete your profile and start again, as we have had issues in restoring your account previously.
