It could be a lot of things, Id start with your NAT settings, and try to have them set to open or modrate, with srtict NAT your going to have lots of trouble joining games.

Even if yours is "Open", if someone in the Room has thier's set to "Moderate" or "Strict" you still may not be able to connect.

Try placing your X360 in your Router's DMZ.  After I did, I've had no problems since.

    Re: Forza 2 Connection.

"DMZ" stands for De-Militarized Zone. By putting your X360 into a DMZ you are granting your X360 unlimited access to the internet.

When you go into your Router, select "APPLICATIONS".  Now look to see the IP Address of your X360.  Focus on the last three numbers of the IP Address.

Now go to "ADVANCED" and on the left you will see a "TAB" for "DMZ", click on it.

Check the box that says, "Enable DMZ".  Now in the "BOX" underneath enter the last three digits of your X360.  Reboot the Router and Bingo!  You may also need to reboot your X360.

Hope it helps, it worked for me.

Contact Xbox Support.  They can guide you through checking the proper items so you don't need to go through a bunch of gyrations of trying various things.
