    Re: Forza Freeze

the main problem with forza is not a game floor its due to the levels of processing power used for the in game graphics . most games ie call of duty4 , halo3 , burnout paradise and ace combat use about 70 percent processing power which is about the right amount for keeping it cool . forza2 howerver uses about 95 percent in game and burns the cpu very hot which causes the system to run hot and over long periods of use over heats the cpu and motherboard (3 lights of death) and cause hardware faliure which is something that dose not happen in the elite because it has more cooling power .

there for i suggest that microsoft replaces all xboxs .when the failure occurs, with the elite as this is a oversite in there part and NOT due to forza2 lovers playing the game they love and have paid hard cash to play !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, could not agree more with you jeznasty, absolutely 100%,  In which case my xbox 360 won't last long then, with the amount of time Forza is on Sad [:(]Smile [:)]Indifferent [:|]Tongue Tied [:S]  that mean I'm not sure what to think lol.

PS, I also get a errr  like little hicup in the middle of Nurbergring, like a half second pause, can be tricky if your in the middle of a fast corner, been planted in the wall a few times because of it.

Mine freezes all the time to xbox is going to do nothing about the problem when you call for help all they want to do is repair work that does not fix the problem..........good luck everyone.

    Re: Forza Freeze

Mine seems to do it in spurts...usually when I've just finsished a race in multiplayer mode or when I'm selecting a car.  It doesnt seem to have anything to do with how long I've been playing so the heat issue isnt making since to me.  And its very inconsistent so I cant pin it on a spot in the disc or program for sure.

But I agree that the 360 is generally a piece of junk as far as hardware is concerned this is my 3rd xbox in 1 yr and I have not had the red rings..dvd drive issues for me.

Absolutely this is where I am coming from..... no red rings for me, just one problem after another and it can occur on my first race of the day or my tenth - so heat is a BS excuse and not an issue.

I've had mine for over a year and still no issues. Maybe yours is just getting over heated. Have enough air space around it?

    Re: Forza Freeze

Ya got it too when I want to select a car, the game FREEZE completely... but the Xbox isn't damaged it is in near brand new state, no dvd scratches or problems nor rings of death and the other games works *** perfectly on it. Thus Its true that Forza run *** hard on the cpu so hope it gonna save me from repairs...

    Re: Forza Freeze

i'm having a problem too but i don't think it's just forza because it happens with other games as well. sometimes my xbox thinks it's just a DVD player !  lol. i'll put in a game and it will tell me that if i want to play my game i need to put it in an xbox 360 console.

My Nurbrurgring simply dissapears 1/4 of the way through so you just drive and look over scenery which is like 200m below you and run into invisble walls untill you just quit the game...I think thats a problem with my disk though!

I had that problem a few times when the game first came out. Hasn't happened in month though.

yeah, we all freeze up - crap programming - nothing much we can do untill TURN 10 starts putting money back into the game we forked out hard earned cash for. They are to busy working on there "next big project" they forgot about us.

don't forget that turn 10 spent millions of dollars on this game just hoping that you would buy it, so they spent way more hard earned money than you did. so i wouldn't blame it on crap programming when forza2 is the most realistic racing game available on a console.

also if they did forget about us they wouldn't have two official DLC threads. so please don't talk down on a great company because you didn't get a perfect game for 60 bucks.

    Re: Forza Freeze

I have had some problems with extremely long loading times. But only on that Peninsula course (cant remember the name but its the one with the Nascar like track) And theres alot of problems with the road being "empty" some places. That means the road is completely black! Can be very annoying and sometimes when i drive through those black spots the screen i completely black until i am out of it again. It helped earlier when i cleared the Cache but i dont think its good enough that we have to clear our cache like every 3-4 days!

does this erase your game? do you have to start over?

    Re: Forza Freeze

yeah thats great advice to clear your cache and have to download every patch and upgrade for everygame after that. If you have to play with your hardware to make a game work properly, its the game to blame man - clearing the cache does improve speed but it does not solve the problem for long if at all

    Re: Forza Freeze

Actually I love the game, it's a extremely realistic racing simulator but this problem has to be solved.

I got my xbox 360 like yesterday, and it's freezing 9/10 times I try to load the game. Can't even play the campaign mode -.- How lame is that?

Now I am even afraid to load it because of some other people who posted, Don't want my Xbox to blow 2 days after I got it. I guess it just has to be put in quarantine for a while untill there's a patch that solves this problem. (probably with alot of dust on my disc). I'll have to do it with "Viva Piniata" untill then, Forza you suck -.-!

Yeah, the Elite has 3 CPUs and the 360 only has 1, i think (let me check, where's my screwdriver!)
