if its on a Fighter stlye paint its a tribute to history.

here, i would have to agree. lets say, for instance, some painter for the idea into his head that he wanted to make a WWII themed pack. he'd use an american car, put the star and stripes on it, take a mitsubishi and paint a rising sun on it, take a british vehicle, yada yada yada all the way until he got to germany. what else is he going to put on it to keep in line with the theme? would this be offensive?

i did just this....and yes the german fighter has the nazi flag on it.......is it offensive???( if it is...i dont care, i'm german...not a nazi!! and well the logo is the logo they used)if the logo is offensive to you sorry....but i didnt create it!! i really do think people paint things to get a reaction....some of the paint is very obvious and it was meant to offend............but at the end of the day anything can be taken in a million different ways.

some people like to eat meat....and to some it will be offensive...playboy magazine...porn or art??? etc. etc. etc. there is a fine line here.......and if you wanna make a big deal out of something....you can!! but even if someone painted a satanic car.....well that is their belief...they have to live that life....do i like it??? does it matter??? we all have/do things that others wont/dont agree with

it all comes down to .........let it go....get over it and move on...........you cant live in the past!! maybe people should worry more about their own issues and problems....and less about what everybody else does........maybe just maybe then the world would get something done!!

i have seen one of these cars and it said white power with swastikas all over the car and then it said F**k N***ers. That makes me cringe because i'm black and i don't make racial remarks on my cars. This should be inforced as hard as the porn cars in the AH[Imo, porn cars aren't bad but little kids don't need to see that stuff at their age]

Re: For cars that are "against policy"?

ok, you guys have got to be kidding me...11 PAGES OF USELESS ARGUING! the swastika is a symbol that yes, may indeed have been used by what many people (myself included) would have called horrible monsters. but to concentrate on what hitler did is I think a serious flaw in this discussion. yes, true the jews were treated very badly, but let me tell you, what the JEWS did to, say, ukraine for example, makes the intentions of hitler simply pale in comparison. the jews, infact, robbed ukraine, and its people, for everything they had. my own grandfather had everything taken from him (including the shoes on his feet) by jews for absolutely no reason whatsoever. now whatever hitler did might have been wrong, but what the jews did is also very wrong. being so sympathetic towards jews i find is a major problem. find  out the facts first, before blabbing. anyways, the swastika is a symbol that may indeed be used by teens who feel angry or whatever, but i feel that if you dont run around screaming I HATE JEWS to the world, which would be considered quite racist, incorporating a swastika in the design on your car should not be taken offensively. by the way, those people here who keep talking about how america has prevailed or america is the greatest, please consider the fact that your country, like many countries, is in fact run by jews. of course they dont tell you this, to keep you all as dumb down and misinformed as you are today, as they quietly go about controlling your lives and leading them into slavery. anyway, depends on how you look at it. if you see a swastika, and it was not used in a context that was racist, just look at it like you would any other design.

    just my thoughts...

I agree. They need to lock this. It's becoming racial. That's just too far.

Re: For cars that are "against policy"?

I agree that racist and pornographic material shouldn't be on the AH, and swastikas are no exception, although if there was a car with other Hindu symbols on and no reference to Nazi's on at all, a swastika on that car should not be a problem. Since the car has many other Hindu symbols on it, the swastika is therefore meant in a religous, not racist, context. Archaeologists have found neolithic remains with swastikas on, so that's obviously not pro-nazi. If it's a right-facing one in a white circle on a red background, the that's obviously Nazi. But there are many other swastika designs. Also, I admit I partly admire the Nazi's. Not the Genocide, I'm not pro-nazi, but it was them who utilised the modern jet engine into aircraft first and it was them who produced the first guided rockets and I quite like the ME 262. Like I said, however, I believe the holocaust was dreadful, and any leader who hints at something similar, be it German, British, American, Chinese, Iranian or where ever, should instantly be kicked out, imprisoned or killed, whichever one, because it should never be repeated, or any racism of any form for that matter.

This is all I'm saying in this thread, I will not be arguing with anyone.

    Peace out,

    ~STAN~

Ok then what about the Jehovah's Witnesses? What did they do to anybody except bring in many human rights laws (Source: Documentary "Knock" recommended by Anderson Cooper 360). The swastika isn't just against jews, its against anything not white, and i'm white and I consider it a symbol that shouldn't be allowed anywhere, as all it does is cause fights and make people think they're above another person when nobody truly has the right to say "I have the right to live over another person".

    ncasolo:

Is there somewhere we go to report a car that has a Nazi symbol or other vulgar material on it in some way shape or form?

That is the post which started this useless argument. All it does is ask a question which has nothing to do with the meaning of Swastikas. It dosen't say 'Swastikas: Nazi or not? Discuss.' does it? It asks a simple question. So everybody, Shut The **** Up!

    ~STAN~

P.S. This is a Swastika as well:

    So is this:

Not really Nazi now are they?

Re: For cars that are "against policy"?

Thats not a Swastika, thats the reverse one which is easily mis understood as the Swastika, there's a reason why the Swastika was a reverse of this symbol, which I believe is a buddhist or hinduism symbol, a symbol for some religion which far predates the Swastika in its Nazi form. It also looks a lot different, this here is the Boreyko Coat of Arms which was used in the 9th Century, and yes nazi's weren't the only ones to use this symbol, but you can tell the difference, not easily, between a Hindu Swastika, ones used by other nations, and the ones the Nazi's used.

The Nazi Swastika i've always understood is being on a 45 degree angle, any other variant could be anything because many cultures have used a variation. Even if a racist were to turn it and try and promote his racism more, it should mean something completely different.
