    See that little ***?

That should be your clue something's not right.

Surely you could have done the pink ribbon without the B word?

Does sound a bit ridiculous...but then again so does promoting *** cancer awareness with a virtual bumper sticker on your virtual car.

You certainly shouldn't be banned for writing the common word for boobies. It's a body part FFS.

I really fell that in the right context their was nothing wrong here. I mean if they can say *** cancer awareness on morning TV I think its save to say its ok to have it on your forza 3 car

He's not been banned for supporting cancer awareness - he's been banned for putting a certain word on his car.

Is it overzealous? Probably. But this system is brand new, and it's going to be a while before it settles out. Until then, I advise the OP and anyone else to think twice about what you put on your car, especially in the form of words or text.

I have a hard time judging what is more ridiculous - the sticker or the censorship. Let me think - ok, I go for the censorship.

so would you ban hammer some one with a paint job for the support of bowel cancer? I mean it is just a scientific way of say ass cancer and I'm sure that word would get you a weeks ban it seems

if you really don't want your kid to ever hear that word in the context of *** cancer awareness you'd better not ever take them to any sort of charity marathon and don't what ever you do let them watch day time TV... or the news and you should shield his eyes should you ever meet a charity worker

The main question is: Does the Susan G Komen Foundation use that word?

Well considering I don't have the power to ban anybody, it's a moot point.

But if someone was to put the more common version of bowel on a car, they should not be surprised if they get caught.

Look - it's not about intent. I've had discussions with T10 about this before. It's about the letter of the law (in this case the XBL ToS). You break it and get caught, you serve your time.

Re: banned for a Susan G Komen bumper sticker

I agree with the poster...that is taking it a little too far.

I appreciate what they are trying to do within the auction house/ storefront with the new rules, as there were some pretty RACY cars in Forza 2.

But if what is said is true, that they pre-scan the content before enacting the ban..then I think they need to lighten up a bit on the restrictions that cause you to be banned.

I have seen other posts that people were banned for, that are questionable offenses.

In the context that the word "BR3AST" was used was perfectly acceptable IMHO. Which makes me wonder if they really ARE investigating infractions or just banning people once they see that they are flagged.

No, the main question is: Is that word allowed in the AH/storefront or not? It appears the answer is no. It seems silly, I'll side with that but it is what it is. This is one of those things where the line has to be drawn somewhere, it was drawn here and even though there was no negative intent by the creator it still falls under the "no no" catagory.
