    Official Multiplayer Feedback Thread (UPDATED)

    *UPDATE*

Upon skimming through a large chunk of this thread, particularly the last, most recent pages, it appears to me that anyone will come to the conclusion that Forza 3's multiplayer is a downgrade from Forza 2's.

This is rather unfortunate, considering just how much potential such a massive racing game like this has.  Even though the new matchmaking system is supposed to be more accessible...the result is mostly just frustration.

I know that the devs have said that public lobbies will not make a return; however, understand that the community almost unanimously rejects that idea.

Consider public lobbies.  That's all it comes down to.  So, Turn10, perhaps your marketing simulations and planning about which option would be more lucrative wasn't quite on the mark.

    MrAmish:

Stop replying at Neogaf.  Reply here.  It's where the real fans are.

    Plus One.

It'd be so much easier to rationalise and for people to accept if the developers actually nurtured this community and reach out to us. Using NeoGAF as your mouthpiece makes this official forum seem irrelevant.

Why they gotta make a statement? You realise the game is out already in most places...

Re: Turn10, make a statement on the multiplayer.

Seems like its been at least a month since ANY member of Turn10 has posted anything on these forums.  Seems to me that once reality flushed out marketings BS things suddenly got very quiet around here.  Still gonna play the heck out of the game come Tuesday (BTW thanks for making us sit with our thumbs up our butts while we watch the rest of the world play) but for now the silence speaks volumes.

Why sit back and let them posture they're working on it within a month, when they didn't work on it, or at least release it, after two years of work?

It seems like if we don't keep on at T10, we get spoon fed the game they've shipped now.

Re: Turn10, make a statement on the multiplayer.

It just seems obvious to me that Turn 10 doesn't care about the hardcore fans. Just go through the list of let downs in FM3, all which are replaced with things like rewind, autobrake, ranked matchmaking...

They don't care about the folks that post on these boards, it is just that simple.

Re: Turn10, make a statement on the multiplayer.

is the problem only with ranked matches, can you stil customize the settings with non ranked matches, if so then that would make sense. Example In guitar hero 3 when you did a ranked match depending on how many songs the host chose each of you would select a song and then a tie breaker would be chosen by a random person if there was a tie, (IMO this is not the right way to do a ranked match). rock band 2's ranked matches were one song picked at random from the complete list of songs (whichever ones the 2 had in common) and the winner got the spoiles, (correct way to do ranked matches)

so it wouldnt surprise me if Forza did the same thing with their ranked matches, make a random track with random class and let everyone have a go, however since i dont have the game i can only imagine lol.

Just curious, does this really seem like the best place to discuss domestic violence, child abuse or world hunger?

Yeah they are ignoring everything regarding custom games.  I'm not suprised really I knew this is the way it would happen.

Heres a thread I made earlier which still has no response for those interested.

last time he responded about neogaf thats basically what he said, that it's advertisement.

the games done, why care about fans who are going to buy it anyways right? Lets hide the compllaints in some hard to see section, Ignore the community who is rightfully having a cow, and go and advertise more!
