Whisper [:-*] New to the Forums or have a question - Read this before posting

Okay, I am going to create this thread so that any question you ask pertaining to Forza 3 and Forza 2 can be asked by you.

The intent is that instead of you posting new threads every hour on a subject covered ad nauseum, you can ask it here.

First try the search bar and the Faq for your answer if it's not there or you can't find it post in this thread.

Remember the page your post went on and read from that point on and some nice forum regular will post you an answer.

It may not be the answer you need or want but that is the info that is available.

If you haven't read the Forum Terms of Service I would suggest you do it as Profanity, Obscenity, trolling and flaming in this thread will be dealt with by me and will involve a 3 day break.

Now for the Veterans of the site there will be a number of people who will be joining ourcommunity in the next few months will be staggering. We want theseforums to be inviting to everyone. Yes, you may see the same commentsor questions being asked in a few extra places.

If you do wantto help them learn how to operate within the forums, be helpful if youneed to answer a post.  Furnish information like a link to an on-goingthread on the subject for someone who is seeking assistance.  Give youropinions openly and freely in an educational manner so people can learnfrom your experience.

Use your experience as a veteran member here to be helpful for a more positive welcome to the new members. Thanks.

Will there be night time racing in FM3?

It would be fully sick if it was..

Isn't this what the FAQ(*Frequently Asked Questions*) sticky is for?  Dont get me wrong, I understand what you're doing, but it seems to me that the problem is that newcomers ignore the stickies in the first place.

Re: New to the Forums or have a question - Read this before posting

Yes it is, hence my edit of the first post. Since as you pointed out, some manage to miss it or read it and don't see thier answer rather than start a new thread they can ask it here and nice guys like you can answer it.....every time it gets asked.

This thread should be the link where you direct everyone to when you see a new thread that missed reading the sticky threads. Then the thread that they started can be locked without any unnecessary animosity.

Hopefully it will cut down on unneeded threads as in this thread I expect newer forum members to post the same questions every couple of days. So get all your links together on word pad or equivalent and copy and paste it for them.

    Thanks.

Put the title in caps, it's a scientific fact that new members cannot see lower case letters...Cool

Just kidding, I actually think this is a great idea. I hope people use it.

Meh, didn't see this thread at first.  Would have posted it here.

1 thing that I think would greatly benefit the online component of this game is as follows:

    Lobby naming

So you can know if a lobby (before entering) is drifting, playing cat and mouse, racing A class only, racing ovals, doing 25 laps of Nurburgring, etc.

    Hi guys,

I have a question after seeing this screenshot:

    http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/media/images/default.htm?galleryid=743#/screenshot/757/

now it might not make much difference to, well, anything other than the perfectionist in us - but the brake caliper on the STi is in the wrong position by about 180 degrees. any particular reason for this, or is it just an oversight/mistake by the modellers?

Re: New to the Forums or have a question - Read this before posting

    So your question is

'Can you name your lobby so it can be identified by what you are doing so that people searching for what you are running can find it and join in ?'

At this time T10 hasn't been specific on the details, I'm sure when it is the FAQ will be updated.

Adding to that the article released the other day had this to say -

' The game's online modes have more than 100 rule types to tweak giving players an almost limitless ability to customize the way they want to play, he said.

Krauskopf says that the team expects once the game ships and gets into the hands of enthusiastic gamers they will begin to see far more creative combinations of the rules used to create modes they've never imagined.

Since these personalized race modes can only be saved locally, Krauskopf expects that some gamers will make a name for themselves as popular hosts for their custom races. He added that they are considering one day perhaps allowing gamers to save modes online, but right now have no plans to include that option.'

The whole article can be read here -  http://kotaku.com/5311898/forza-3-will-deliver-nearly-limitless-online-multiplayer-variety?skyline=true&s=i

If my interpretation ( again my interpretation ) of this is correct then just by the different combinations of rules available for setting up a lobby  it should be possible to search for lobbies with the characteristics you are looking for even if you can't actually name them.

Are you allowed to tell me if the 2010 Mustang GT will be in Forza Motorsport 3?

That is my all time favorite car, and It would crush me if it is not in the game.

You could always check the car confirmed list, just a few threads down from this. If it's not in there then don't worry. What with Turn 10 having the Ford license...there is a good chance your car could be in the game.

Keep your eye on that thread in the next couple of weeks, but do not post your requests in there. It's only a thread to find out which cars have made it into the game, and then to discuss them. There is a car wish list thread you can enjoy eslewhere on the forum.

It's most probably a minor detail which has been over looked. But the game is not finished yet, and Turn 10 are tweaking away at everything as we speak.

Che's confirmed that this has been fixed.

The FAQ thread is useless, so many questions all mixed up and it's not being updated like you say. This thread seems better, IF people use it.

i really havent been playing forza for too long (never played forza 1), and i was wondering if T10 really has the interiors of every single car in the game accurately modeled in the cockpit view? that seems like a lot of memory and it would be amazing if they actually accomplished this like they claim considering how much theyve improved the graphics and stuff. so is it really true or should i be expecting some halfassed car cockpit views? thanks
