Does anyone elses Forza freeze often? Mine does and I dont know why. Its clean, no scratches or anything.

i haven't had a single problem with forza as for almost anygame i play on the 360, though i always keep the cache clean, try this... Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices? then select yes. then only thing with this is it cleans out your updates too, but to re-update just put the game in and play and your auto updates should prompt you.

mine freezes to on the nurburg ring in near enough the same spot, there is no scratches on the game it happens on my bro's xbox to and some one in my friends list to. I reckon its a bug with the game

Im on my thrid copy of Forza and i havent had one that will work yet. Theres constant freezing and glitches in the graphics. All of my other games play just fine and i just got my 360 back from repair less than 3 weeks ago, ive also tried all the troubleshooting stuff with no luck. Will there be any updates or anything like that to fix this???

The game freezes for me...way to often, even while I'm in a race.

Mine has done the same. Not in the same spot either. It would start off racing on career and the road will loose its graphics and show the background almost like water or glass type look. Then it will go to the Dust or dirty screen. I take High care of my games and there is not a single scratch on it. It must be a bug.

freezes are usually always a sign of overheating issues with ur 360, try moving it to the vertical position and place it on something flat and hard, (tile or wood table, etc.) definately NOT on carpet...

I would say it's a bug(s). They will come out with a patch or update eventually since this happens to many people. Report it if you haven't already done so.

I find that hard to believe. I've played GOW and GRAW with the 360  in the same place and never once had it freeze.

Yep, mine just froze on the loading screen.  The checker is still moving, and I can get back to the dashboard, so I'm guessing it's a prob with the game and not with the 360.  This has happened twice while trying to race in the Volkswagen Manufacturers Cup 2nd race...

i had several freezes in the garage... sometimes when i choose a car, befor the 3d model is loaded, the game freezes.

Mine freezes on RWD race in "Proving grounds" (haven't played the game much - so dreaded more places)
 - pauses way too long on loading screen
 - road turns to "black glass" while driving on the first lap
 - when finished race, computer AI takes over, and races never finishes

VERY disappointed :( - guess I'm going back to GT4.

Seems to be specific to car (happened only with "Do-luck" supra
 - the black one with the orange flame job.
Loading screen pauses too long after "FM2" logo disappears...
then I know that the lap information will be missing from the HUD,
and when race finished, AI takes over and races endlessly
Cannot get access to any menues etc.

The game only froze once on me, and it was coming around the last turn of the first lap of a race. My Xbox had been on for about 9 straight days so it wasn't much of a surprise.

I was having similar problems with the game. Half way through the lap of the nurburgring, the background would disappear and the car would appear to look like it was floating in the sky. The second problem I had was that the laguna seca track would take about 10mins to load, and then the same problem would occurr.

I tried calling Xbox customer services and the guy told me that they were aware of the problem but he didn't know any specific details. He suggested changing the disc.

Anyway, I took the game back, got a refund and then bought another copy from a different shop.

Fingers crossed, but have had the new copy 4 days and no problems so far!

after some major Googling and cross-referencing, 95% certainty it's the GPU or Texture RAM overheating its solder points and losing it.  Forza started freezing after a couple weeks of intense play.  i just got DiRT today and wasn't able to finish a single race - same thing happens when you get out of menus or the dashboard and actually get into pushing geometry/textures.  i tried several different games, ditto & finally got my 3 Red Rings of Death tonight.  these new games work the GPU harder i reckon, and the xbox360 has one or more serious design flaws related to solder composition, heat dissipation, and the like.  my 360 was flat & completely in the open @ 75F ambient.  once you start getting those tiny freeze glitches, it only builds until your box is bricked.  it's one hell of a bummer, not being able to play with all my new mates and watching my scores get buried...  let me repeat - this is not T10's fault!  this is entirely marginal design and/or manufacturing on Microsoft's part.  (my 360 was manufactured mid-2006)

same here once or twice a day, just a question, do you listen to music from usb key or something while it happens ?

Same - every single race - seems like overheating. About to buy my third copy (as requested by MS support) but it looks like it wont be any good - anyone able to fix these problems without having to RMA?

I totally agree with you, after 10 or so days with this game it totally messed up my box, Just got the Three Rings last night, and I bought the game on wednesday, but I rented it from blockbuster a couple of weeks ago. I am beginning to realize just how big a piece of junk the 360 is. This is definatly not the games fault, No games work on my xbox now not even Halo 2. I guess the 360 just cant handle the new games. My room is always kept somewhere in the 60-70 degree range
