    PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

One thing that disappointed me. I upgraded the exhaust and it stll looks the same. I was kind of hoping that in FM2 that the look of the exhaust would change just like as if you were to put an exhaust on any car in real life... Like a Greddy evo TT exhaust with a JDM lean or something. Or for muscle cars big ass nasty pipes that make the car look mean in the back. Sorry I'm just tired of seeing a stock muffler on a built 350Z......

i agree, and i wish also that they would change the sound of it more, i mean theres a change, but barely any, also company choices for exhaust would be cool too

    Re: Exhaust looks

Do you think maybe if we petition it they would consider? another small thing was that you cant paint stock rims. Not a big thing but i know some friends of mine wanted to do it.

    Re: Exhaust looks

yea well i mean thats not too much of a biggy, wine 4 races and theyw ill have enought for the rims....i can understand why they would want to though, but i think exhuast sounds, looks would be sweet, give u more to choose from, and they could all look different too, big ones, square, circles, etc... and even add sound changes, cuz i know my brother has the 2003 r32 in real life, and stock they sound just alike, but he got new exhaust, and it sound sooo much cooler, i would love to be able to put on new exhaust to make it sound like it, maybe even get stuff from flowmast, magnaflow etc..

    Re: Exhaust looks

Yea the muffler stuff needs work as far as appearance but sound is on point IMOP. I would love to see a HKS Hi Powered or GReddy evo canister on my Silvia.

    Re: Exhaust looks

yea i strongly agree with everyone here a fully customised car is nothing without a new exhaust. i definately think they should have exhaust changes as i would love to have a big meen pipe thats upgraded rather than a stock peashooter thats been upgraded

    Re: Exhaust looks

I really don’t understand why they haven’t put extra features like the exhaust look on Xbox live.

+1, This is kind of a must have for serious customisers like myself.

    Re: Exhaust looks

I thought this would be one of the first things they adressed from FM1. Seems like a complete no brainer. In some cares you have a 600HP engine breathing through a 1-1/4" stock muffler and that is just ridiculous. i thought this was a simulator.

    Re: Exhaust looks

I really dont understand it. I mean in old ass games for ps2 like tokyo extreme racer, its not even a simulator and yet when you upgrade the exhaust the muffler gets bigger or changes in appearance. They really should look into changing it, to me it seems like a huge no brainer come on now does turn10 really not know anything about cars???

Just being the devil's advocate here but you just said it yourself.  Tokyo extreme racer is not even a race simulator.  Anything and everything that pertains to FM2 should apply to the racing part of the game and not how the car itself looks (because it is first and foremost a RACING SIMULATOR).  Granted I would also like everything you did to your personal car to be immulated onscreen but because this is a race simulator and not a car customization simulator this should be way down on the to-do list so to speak.

Besides they have plenty of bugs to fix first so a lot of people can just play the game (luckily I have no problems playing but only accessing my lap times and circuit times on my friends' list).  Maybe in the future they will have an update for this sort of thing (and many others) but I want them to make sure the game plays for everyone and get all the other little bugs fixed first.  But I do value your wishes and hope they get around to including this in the future :)

    Re: Exhaust looks

I understand but i was just implying the simplicity of changing the appearance of it. Considering that it was done in an early PS2 game.

    Re: Exhaust looks

Well they spent all that time puttign body kits in the game and you still have the stock exhuast which is an ACTUAL performance part. And how about some more adjustable downforce wing options? I am tired of every single car I own having the exact same wing. You need downforce to compete in this game too.

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

That would be a great idea, as mentioned above the idea of buying different brands of exhaust would be sweet.  The different off-sets and sounds would be pretty amazing.  I mean you're finally able to choose the different types of tires to use in the game, which I thought was pretty realistic.  Be a cool idea to have in an update or future title.

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

Yea, that would be great. Say If you wanted to make a tuner Civic or Eclipse, You have a good not too ricey bodykit for it. Nice engines and Speed, but is still stuck with the super small Pipes. The option of changing Exhausts would be great.

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

Thats what the NFS series is for. It's a racing sim, where they allow you to customize your car a bit. It's not ABOUT customizing your car. I've done replica paintjobs, but I think that's a bit more understandable than wanting a huge exhaust. Do you ever look at your exhaust in a race and complain? If you do, chances are you SHOULD be playing NFS.

    And, P.S.
You lose a lot of back pressure with those huge ass exhausts.

Re: PLEASE ADD IN Exhaust looks

I don't know about you guys, but I would also love to see flames shoot out of the exhaust on highly modified cars.

It was so badass in GT4.

Please tell me that was sarcasm.  Back pressure has so little to do with exhaust that it is laughable when people make this comment.  Yes if you put diesel exhaust on a 4 cyl engine you will lose low end power and your top end will suffer also, but if anybody is that ignorant then they deserve the consequences.  Increasing the size of your exhaust (with in reason) will only help your performance.  I mean hell, I gained close to 25 horsepower and over 30 lb/ft just by switch my stock 2.0" exhaust to 3".

Thank God this is not a tech forum because there's so much mis-information about cars going on in here that I feel I am getting dumber by the minute.
