Who here avoid using leaderboard cars?

Is ther anyone here who avoid using leaderboard cars in online races, and are actually competetive with them?  I ususally use my Silvia S13 in C-class instead of my Pugeot (spelling?) 206.  I also use a Ford Focus ST in B-class most of the time and the Porsche Boxster.

My most recent mule of choice before my xbox died FOR THE SECOND TIME was an A-class 355 challenge. Won quite a few races with it as well.

usually i keep a LB car in case, but mostly i run other cars like the 69 Z28, 35th Camaro, and GTO for speed, VX220 and Lancer Evo.10 for grip in A-Class.  for S i use a TVR Tuscan R and a Fairlady Custom for speed, AWE Tuning S4 for grip and Exige Cup 240 for the Saleen Tracks.

Re: Who here avoid using leaderboard cars?

Uh oh, I predict that this thread is going to explode in a ball of flames soon. I choose not to use leaderboard cars because I don't think they're fair. Reguardless, I have produced many wins with my 06 Impreza, Corvette C6, Diablo SV, and my Eclipse GSX, all in S class. I have to work extremely hard to beat leaderboard cars because I refuse to use them, which puts me at a disadvantage. Oh well, nobody can make anyone understand eachothers point of view, so to each his own.

Re: Who here avoid using leaderboard cars?

I wouldn't say I avoid them as much as I get bored with them.  I like to win as much as the next guy, but what's the point if you don't have any fun in the process?   I need to shake things up a little and keep them fresh or it's just not fun anymore.

Sometimes I play Forza by holding the controller in my feet as well, I mean, the idea of winning annoys me, so I play with my feet to make it exciting.

If everyone else in the room doesn't start playing with their feet I'll complain and eventually boot them from the room.

Re: Who here avoid using leaderboard cars?

i hate using leaderboar cars but i do have them if you get that veteran 34 that insists on using a leaderboard car. some of my favourites are the really unused cars (like the lamborghini miura P400, the jaguar e type, etc)
Proud owner of far too many tuners' cars

If quizzes are quizzical what does that make tests?

Re: Who here avoid using leaderboard cars?

I tend to never use them I have them (since i want to get the all cars achievement) but I never really use them I find I'm far more happy using cars I've discovered and just seeing what I can make like the other day I had a very good group of people together and I went with the BMW E30 in C class and I felt coming 2nd was quite good against a 206 around maple valley ok I wasn't smashing my record times but I made a solid all rounder car i feel

as for other people using them well I've got nothing against it I only do exhibition stuff now since I find the type of players a lot less win or die about the whole game and are really just want to have a good bit of fun

Good idea, personally I thinkt his game would be a lot better if they made everyone who is fast or even just anyone over Pro rank have a handicap which slows them down to 125mph and their cars can only have 3 or less for handling stats.  This is the only way to make Forza fair, PLEASE MODS.  Give bad racers the upper hand.  Infact, once you start getting good you should be banned from playing online.

You're saying that you only use a non-leaderboard car untill you set a LB time in it? Good for you. How many non-leaderboard cars do you have left?

I feel that I can use any car because:

    1. I'm only an Amateur 19

    2. My eyesight is 20/70 with some blurryness in the good eye.

    3. I have only two fingers on my right hand. I compensate by using the MS wheel.

    4. My CA drivers License limits me to daytime driving only.

    5. I have my AARP membership card available at all times.

    6. I don't have a HD TV with surround sound and a racing seat for comfort.

    7. I'm a lousy tuner. I download setups and tweak them for my style of drivng with a wheel.

    *gets out tiny violin*

Seriously tho, who cares?  Why do you feel the need to justify the cars you use at such length.

The OP of this thread isn't whining about scoreboard cars as such, he's whining about people who are better than him beating him in popular cars.

    End of discussion.
