This article is for anyone who picked up the Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection. Whether this is your first entry into the Forza series or you are a longtime community member looking to pick up some missing DLC, this article will help you install the content both the content on disc 2 and the Top Gear content inside your new copy of Ultimate.
Installation of Disc 2
If this is your first time with Forza Motorsport 3 then you first want to check the available space on your hard drive. You will need about 1.6 gb of available space to install the content on disc 2 to your hard drive.
Once you have checked you have enough space you can load up the game by putting in Disc 1. When the game starts, at the main menu you will be prompted to install Disc 2, hit Yes on that screen and put in Disc 2 of Ultimate to begin the installation.
When the installation is complete, you will be prompted to put Disc 1 back and you can begin your career in Forza Motorport 3 or you can install the Top Gear content that came with your new copy of Ultimate.
Top Gear Insert Card
If you are in an Xbox LIVE supported region, your new copy of Ultimate has a Top Gear card inside the box with three redeemable codes. At the bottom of the Top Gear card you will see a large scratch off area, scratch off the entire area to reveal your three codes.
Once the three codes have been revealed you can redeem the codes on Xbox.com or through Xbox LIVE on the Dashboard.
The easiest way to redeem your code is from Xbox.com, sign into your account using your Windows LIVE ID and Password then navigation bar you will see My Xbox, once selected a drop down menu will appear and you will see Redeem Code.
Once you have selected the Redeem Code option you will be brought to a new page where you can enter the 25 digit codes that appear on your Top Gear insert card. Once you have redeemed all three code, you can turn on your Xbox 360, then once you have signed LIVE the content will begin to download.
If you choose to install the content from within Xbox LIVE on your console, you can begin by going to My Xbox from the Dashboard. Scroll to the right to the blade with your gamertag information and avatar then scroll down to Account Management. Within the Account Management screen, scroll down and select Manage Account. In the next window you will see Redeem Code, select this option and enter the 25 digit codes on the Top Gear insert.
Once all three downloads have completed you will now have access to the following:
- Stig's Garage Car Pack
- Top Gear Premium Dashboard Theme
- Top Gear video compilation
If you are a previous owner of Forza Motorsport 3 and you picked up a copy of Ultimate to obtain the extra content, forum member Av8rTim has put together a detailed explanation of how to properly install Ultimate for people who already have FM3 content on their hard drive.
