
The first Jalopnik/Forza Motorsport 3 DLC poll has officially closed. The Jalopnik and Forza communities had their voices heard on the first thirty cars to move into the next round of voting.
Round One: Group I
Monday, a couple classic American cars were shown the door in Group I. The 1966 and 1969 Chevy Nova was voted out of the competition. Not so surprisingly, considering the amount of replicas on the storefront, the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 moved on to the next round. The 1999 BMW M5 ended up on the top of the list for Group I, garnering the 2nd most votes of the competition in the three groups.

Round One: Group II
Group II had some surprises. The 1992 GMC Syclone ended up 6th in total votes for the group while the Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino was eliminated from the competition. The star of Group II was the 1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The Vantage came out with a 200 vote lead over the next closest contender, the 1994 Porsche 928.

Round One: Group IIINow over in Group III, the Ford fans turned out in huge numbers with Ford garnering three of the top five spots. The 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth won Group III by over a thousand votes. The 1987 Sierra Cosworth RS500 came in third and the Taurus SHO rounded out the top five. We will have to see if the Ford momentum carries on to the next round.
