The Twin Truenos of Turn 10 Studios

Ahh yes the sun finally made its appearance yesterday for the first time in while for us North Westerners. It actually turned into a beautiful day, and I wanted to capitalize on the superb lighting conditions to snag some pictures. Of course I’ve already posted a bunch of pictures of my car, but this time it had a friend to chill with during the photoshoot. If you’re up to date on our blogs then you no doubt saw yesterdays post that hinted at a mini T10 photoshoot, saying that if you’re a fan of Toyotas then you will like what I have in store for today. Well I probably should have replaced "Toyota" with "AE86", because today I’m showing off yet another Toyota Corolla GT-S from the ranks of Turn 10 Studios.

Art’s Trueno is just straight cleanliness. Definitely one of the cleanest, well maintained Corollas in the area, and when I first found out he owned one I got really excited. Not only can we talk shop about our favorite 80’s econobox, but we can also do cool things like taking pictures of our prized possessions. As you can see we are both rocking the “Kouki” (late model) front end, with his being the factory JDM front (pure hotness). Add in some Volks, some nice suspension, the cleanest 86 engine bay I’ve seen in a while and you have Art’s Corolla. It’s also worth mentioning that he’s owned this car for nearly 5 years, creeping up on OG rolla status.

So just after lunch yesterday we headed off to our local Brown Bear car wash and prepared for the shoot. Art’s car only needed a rinse, while mine needed some serious TLC. I have to admit I’ve been slacking on the car washing recently and it felt damn good to see my ride cleaned up.

With our newly fresh Corollas we hit up a local parking lot for the shoot (I know we need a new location), and I have to say I was blessed with amazing lighting conditions. The soft light from the setting sun mixed with the bright glow from the overhead lights made for some really nice results. So without further ado I present the Twin Toyota Truenos of Turn 10 Studios. Say that fast three times in a row.

Arts Corolla is just straight up clean and that's all there is to say. Check out some of the mods Below!

  • Injen IS2200 intake
  • GReddy front strut brace
  • GReddy full coilover system
  • GReddy MX (discontinued JDM only) stainless cat-back system
  • Sparco seats
  • RAYS VOLK Racing TE37 15x7” 0 offset on 195/50-15
  • Eclipse AVN-5435 Double-DIN Navigation
  • Bazooka RS 8" amplified tube subwoofer
  • Polk Audio db 4" speakers

Mad props to Art and his super clean corolla! I hope to one day reach his level on cleanliness with mine, so stay tuned to see the progress. I'm sure you'll see plenty more of his car in the months to come.

great ae86's dude, if i only had the money to buy one myself, and tune it up and show it off myself in reality. i dont know what it is about me and my love for the old trueno's but it is one of the first cars i get my hands on when i have a racing game. tuning it to the max and keepin it clean. made one of those panda initial d replica's last night on forza 2, just need a good tuner to slap a drift tune on it, cuz i cant drift tune too well. also need the symbols on the doors too.
